October 2, 2008 - 19:54 ET by ZachJonesIsHomeLarry Sinclair is continuing to get his story out on Sen.
Obama’s campaign trail. Mr. Sinclair is
dogging the Senator at Grand Rapids today asking the Senator where is was and
what was he doing on the dates that Larry says that he and Sen. Obama were
doing cocaine and having consensual gay sex.

observations:

McCain wins debate over Obama by 8% between both networks.
Palin wins debate over Biden by 58% between both networks.
---
Palin did a "heck of a lot" better than McCain in debating.
---
It looks CNN had an increase for Palin-Biden debate over McCain-Obama, but it looks like FoxNews had a huge jump! There is no way to say why this large a jump occured without more data. If it is due to larger increase in women viewers to watch Sarah Palin, then could it be that an overwhelmingly large number of women prefer FoxNews over CNN by a wide margin? Could it be that CNN irritates women? Could in be that CNN is not in touch with women's issues? Of course it could be that Democrat women just tuned out altogether. But if the Biden number is larger too, then more Democrats must have watched too.
Listening and Reading
October 2, 2008 - 19:54 ET by Hooterville DenizenI'm going to listen to the debate and read comments here. Kind of like a play-by-play from people other than the MSM.
By the way, to steal from the song - "Mama, don't like your children grow up to be journalists."
I want to see Biden use the word"experience."
October 2, 2008 - 20:03 ET by superconSarah Palin certainly doesn't have the experience that the Democrats have and I hope she never does.
I don't want her to have the experience of:
1.Nancy Pelosi's experience of running a % 9 approval rated Congress.
2.Barney Frank and all the experience he had overseeing FannieMae and FreddieMac.
3.John Murtha's experience of supporting the troops by calling them "blood thirsty killers".
4.Harry Reid's experience on the war in Iraq when he declared it lost.
5.Chris Dodd's experience of taking a sweetheart loan while he is the Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee.
6.Eliot Spitzer's experience of frequenting prostitutes as Governor of New York.
7.Barack Obama's experience of taking a $300,000 bribe from Tony Rezko so he could buy a mansion.
8.Congress's experience of denying America access to it's own oil resource while gas prices soar.
9.Diane Feinstein's experience of stepping down from the Senate Military Construction Appropriations Subcommittee after a report linked her votes to the financial
well-being of her husband's companies, which received billions of
dollars worth of military construction contracts she approved.
10.The experience of stuffing $90,000 dollars in your freezer like Congressman William Jefferson.
It they call all that experience then I pray to God Sarah doesn't have any of it.This is the worst bunch of arrogant self-serving,lying and backstabbing corrupt and self important Democrats I have ever seen.If they ever get control of all three branches of government then all of us are going to have some experience to.The experience of having our pockets picked and our values destroyed like you have never experienced.
That's an experience I don't need.

Now, let's take your "not me" outrage as a given, okay? Otherwise, all the folks I mention have been dissing Governor Palin for being a small-town mayor, a huntress, a "hockey-mom," and every other code-word for a "yokel" you can think of. But now, they (and you) realize that people want someone they can identify with more than the usual career politicians. They like the "outsider" aspect of her. It's working for her! Mayday, Mayday!
So, naturally, you now have to tear down the carefully-built perception of her that you (not you personally, of course) yourselves (except you) created.

Those issue have already been debunked here and elsewhere. I guess truth is no longer part of the definition of news or journalism. Why don't people realize
October 2, 2008 - 20:34 ET by Scuba DudeWhy don't people realize that a windfall profit tax is nothing more than punishing a company for being sucessful.
windfall profits
October 2, 2008 - 20:49 ET by porpoiseboybecause people won't educate themselves. btw, a state taxing certain profits make alot more sense because they have a vested interest NOT to tax to the point that it hurts the companies. October 2, 2008 - 21:28 ET by connmanHey Gov, how bout the Greed and Corruption in Washington???

Yeah, I got tired of that "Greed and Corruption...
October 2, 2008 - 22:00 ET by on-the-rockson Wall Street" line, too. It is OK to specify certain bad players, but not to do the broadbrush attacks against Wall Street as a whole.
But I get more tired of the "abject failure" line trotted out about the Bush Administration. It is going to take years for events to play themselves out before we can make that judgement.
I wouldn't even make that sort of comment about the Clinton Administration.
I feel that way, too.
October 2, 2008 - 22:08 ET by SmartypantsI feel that way, too. There is too much acceptance about everything in the Bush Administration being a failure, from the economy to Iraq. This is a ridiculous statement. The economy was fine for six or seven years of the Bush Administration, even with 9/11 and an ongoing war. It was in the last year or so that it started to falter (interestingly, after the Dems took over Congress). To call Bush's foreign policy and terrorism fight "abject failure" is astounding. Abject failure would be monthly terrorist attacks occurring on our own soil without resolution.
The problem is that McCain/Palin are in a catch-22 with regard to Bush. If they defend the policies they are seen as backing an unpopular president, which could be political disaster. They have to essentially defend the positions without personalizing it as a Bush policy, which is not always easy.
