PS No doubt the bills will be larded up with unaccptable junk, and conditions that make them useless, and he will claim that Democrats wanted to drill, but Republicans voted against their bills.  Just in time for November.

I was speaking with a friend recently, and he made the comment that people like Sarah Palin because she's middle class.  She represents a group of people that have been ignored.

Obama, Biden, Hillary, John Edwards, all lawyers who hobnob with the Hollywood elite.

Could Sarah Palin be the beginning of returning government to the middle class?  Let's hope so.

Beware of Democrats and their compromises:  Both proposals would rescind oil industry tax breaks and shift the money to spur energy efficiency and renewable energy programs such as those to provide wind and solar power.

In other words, the oil companies will be forced to divert investment money from full throttle drilling to a half hearted effort to waste money on unaffordable and unreliable wind and solar power alternatives.  Remember to a Democrat, profits are evil and investment money for actually doing something comes from thin air.  Who are those evil oil company shareholders profiting off drilling???  Oophs, that would be our 401Ks and IRAs which the Dems now also want to steal from, I mean tax. 

Under this false choice offered by the Dems, no bill is better than what they offer, the issue will be settled by the public on Nov 4th.

It's an election year, people are tired of high gas prices and Sarah is an authority from Alaska saying it's fine to drill. They have no choice but to pretend to go along with the drilling idea.

Then, and this contradiction was in ONE paragraph, apparently despite the fact that Alaska has no state sales tax, nor income tax, and residents get $2000 back each year in taxes (plus an additional $1200 this year), they allegedly have the highest tax burden in the US (per capita). They also talk about how 89% of the state's revenue is from oil.

Talk about lies and distortions, this article is full of them. Half-truths abound, with nothing to do by give me a headache!

Offshore drilling is good, but it's much slower than land based Drilling.   We don't need to "Limit" access to ANY American Oil Reserves. 

Sarah Palin doesn't want to "Limit" access to  Oil, and neither does the average American.   This is a placebo, not enough, Americans want MORE.......thus the 10pt swing away from Obama.

Fishbowl DC has an article on how much more coverage of Palin and McCain than Obama and that other white guy. Finally, more coverage by the MSM. Oh wait, maybe 90% of the coverage was negative. I didn't see a breakdown of the tone.

I just got a call from the Obama campaign. She asked me who I was leaning toward. I said Barr. She said she was for Obama because she is against the war and against the tax cuts for the rich. I told her she should really consider Barr because of his "Constitutionality" and his similar position on the war and his desire to eliminate income taxes. She really had a tough call with me. :) Anyway, the Obama campaign is calling Pennsylvanians to ask them their opinions and tell them what it should be.

McCain and Palin were just in my town about an hour ago. They spoke about 6 blocks from my office. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get out and watch the festivities. I was hoping to snag a bumper sticker or button, but it was not meant to be. Tickets went fast, and I realized too late there were tickets to be had.

But I did catch a glimpse of the McCain Plane at the airport while driving home this afternoon!

They really should re-christen it The Barracuda, though.

They are planning to use this bill as propaganda. This may fool some people but they know damn well it's not going to fool people with intelligence in this country.
