ST. PAUL, Minn.-- The NewsBusters team caught up with "Morning Joe's" Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Tuesday, and had a nice discussion about how she got the nickname "Bubbles."
For those that have forgotten, last September, Mika mentioned, "I never had a writing section [on my SATs], just bubbles."
This led NB's Mark Finkelstein to nickname her "Bubbles."
As a result, when we bumped into Joe and Mika in what is called "Radio Row," Joe seemed very excited to see us, but Mika was, at the onset, decidedly less so (video embedded right):
Do you know how many people call me "Bubbles" thanks to you guys?
After being asked what the reference was, Mika said:
Because I talked about the bubbles on the SATs.
As you can see from the video, both Joe and Mika were very good sports, and we hope to be doing a much more thorough interview with the two of them later in the week.
Stay tuned.

I really do respect her and
Tue, 09/02/2008 - 20:38 ET by FairlightI really do enjoy her perspective and I hope she does not think that conservatives disrespect her. Quite the opposite. Morning Joe would not be the same without her for the sheer fact that she has an adorable personality that is brought out by balancing views.
In actuality, most people like to have their views challenged as long as the challenger is rooted in reality. If you say something disagreeable just make sure you have your facts at hand and you will find both learn something, sometimes even changing positions.
So Mika, if you're reading, you and Joe are a team and we like you just the way you are. If you or Joe were to leave, so would your audience.
Keep up the good work.
