ST. PAUL, Minn.--There aren't many conservatives in Hollywood, but we talked to a few today at the Republican convention.
First up, actor Kevin Farley of the new David Zucker satire "An American Carol." Farley plays a Michael Moore-like anti-American documentarian set out to abolish the Fourth of July until he's visited by three spirits who convince him otherwise.
Farley tells NewsBusters editors Noel Sheppard and Matthew Sheffield about how he got involved in the project and his philosophy on the intersection of filmmaking and politics: "To me it's always about the project [not my political differences with the director or other actors].... To me I like to be about the material first.... When we're on the set, work is work, we're not here to do anything else."

An American Carol
September 1, 2008 - 14:28 ET by BlondeThat looked like fun, you guys.
The remarks about his being a conservative in Hollywood were pretty interesting, too. Just kind of keeping it below the radar. On the one hand, it's not surprising, however, when I think about it, it's rather infuriating. Why can't conservatives in H'Wood proudly wear their politics? You know, the left being so open-minded and all.
Best part of that interview, though....Funniest bit in the movie? Shooting ACLU lawyers in the face...wow! I like it.
Now that the big disaster Gustav is not so much of a disaster, I hope everything gets back on the fast track in the Cities, and we get to see lots more behind the scenes from you guys.
Thanks!

Cool - Inside scoop on the film
September 1, 2008 - 14:36 ET by Dee BunkI can't wait for it to come out. I'll be there opening weekend no matter how bad the so called reviews are.
Farley had it exactly right about conservatives not wearing their politics on their sleeves. Most of us don't want to get into an argument about them because we know how they will end. Most liberals haven't debated people who actually know the facts and they get very angry when they have nothing to counter what you say. When ever a liberal or a person who I don't know their politics for sure brings up politics I always say "I'd rather not talk about politics because we probably won't agree".

At the RNC go interview Lawrence Sinclair
September 1, 2008 - 16:14 ET by Lame CherryNewsbusters if you want a real interview try Lawrence Sinclair who is filing a false arrest against Beau Biden as they tried to silence him for Barack Obama and is why Joe Biden is on the ticket.
You can find him in the next days with a blow horn across from the DNC protesting the Obama Biden ticket.
Should be easy to find and Newsbusters might just get on national television.
