Since NBC's used Rush Limbaugh's huge new contract as an opportunity to remind everyone of the moments they trashed him with the most vigor, we can make a counter-offer. Here's Brent Baker's CyberAlert on how NBC spent a day on the campaign trail with Michael J. Fox after the Limbaugh controversy, and served as the publicity wind beneath his wings right before the 2006 elections. And there's the original Brent Bozell columns to recall the tenor of those 2003 controversies:
ESPN = P.C., on the media's favoritism toward quarterback Donovan McNabb; and
Pulling for Rush, about the liberal nastiness that greeted his admission of prescription-drug addiction.

They wish their ratings were so good.
Unlike Rush, the MSM don't have to have brains to read teleprompters and deliver the news.
In addition, Unlike Rush who has "TALENT ON LOAN FROM GOD", the MSM has NO talent at all.

What does all this bashing have in common?
July 3, 2008 - 17:36 ET by Mike BrattonIt has, as a common foundation, people who base their worldview on their perceptions and emotions. Not that I would ever do so, but I always enjoy telling people who construct their worldview in such a fashion that I can change their worldview in less than a second.
When asked how, I reply that a single blow right between their eyes with a ball-peen hammer would radically change their worldview, because it would radically change their perceptions and their emotions. A worldview based on such a flimsy foundation doesn't hold up to scrutiny, and can't help but respond to others in such a puerile fashion.

Unrelated to Rush's contract
July 3, 2008 - 20:02 ET by ipswichfanIn the new Sports Illustrated, Phil Taylor writes about the 40th anniversary of a SI article "The Black Athlete--A Shameful Story." Taylor writes:
The first quote in the opening story is: "In general, the nigger athlete is a little hungrier, and we have been blessed with having some real outstanding ones. We think they've done a lot for us, and we think we've done a lot for them." Those were not the words of some shock jock or blowhard pundit. They were from George McCarty, then the athletic director at Texas-El Paso. We can read that statement secure in the knowledge that if it had been uttered today, McCarty would have gone the way of Jimmy the Greek, Al Campanis, Rush Limbaugh and Don Imus--vilified, pink-slipped and immediately inducted into the Racial Stupidity Hall of Fame.
I don't know if Taylor (who is black BTW) intends to mislead when he equates Rush with the other three or if he's really that ignorant.

Personally I myself find Limbaugh too big for his britches as a Bush supporter. I am more in line with libertarian/indy conservatives like Jerry Doyle, Neal Boortz and Michael Savage. Laura Ingraham I check out too.
And I love how these nutroot leftist fascists get all their pink thong panties in a wad over how the free market capitalist system works.
If these a-holes would just stop smoking their doobies and open their minds for once, they'll learn somthing!

Rush Limbaugh brings in far
July 3, 2008 - 23:47 ET by Cureboy675Rush Limbaugh brings in far too many viewers and is far too profitable. That makes it a bad business decision to cut somebody loose unless they do something really really distasteful.
