They will, when the time is right. If it exists, that is. And when they do, they'll still be called racist, so I'm not sure what risk there is in waiting. There is a risk in revealing it too soon though, and that's a risk you can control. You can't control what people think, so it's pointless to try.
What's interesting to me is so many people don't believe such a tape could exist. I would be surprised if such a tape didn't exist.

Unsane, I understand your derision here. However,
June 2, 2008 - 21:48 ET by R D Helmgiven the tide of public opinion, which has decidedly turned against our actions in Iraq, and may soon turn against Afghanistan as well, I'd say we are in deep sh*t here, at least in the near to long-term.
What remains of the civilized world has apparently decided that it is no-longer willing to defend itself. Forget appeasement, total capitulation appears to be the order of the day.
Aside from the two areas mentioned above, most of the rest of the world has essentially caved to the Islamic horde with little or no resistance, or is in the process of doing so.
We may very well win two of the (minor) battles in the overall GWOT, which is what Afghanistan and Iraq really are, but ultimately, I believe we will lose the war.
I am not saying we have to lose it, but, unless the attitude of what remains of the civilized world changes, and damn fast, we will lose it.
We have the technology and the weapons now to end this thing once and for all, and end it tomorrow, yet we lack the will to employ either decisively.
By the time most in this country truly realize what has happened, it will be too late to do anything about it, as I believe the Islamic horde will eventually manage to gain control of not just the nuclear arsenals of what will be soon known as the former UK, but that of the worthless French as well.
Who is going to stop them? The Brits? The French? Us?
I seriously doubt it.
Hell, all an Islamic barbarian has to do is stand up and say "boo," and the lymies and frogs run for the tall grass. It is getting to be the same way in this country, as well. If it weren't, the members of CAIR would have been rounded up long ago and, frankly, shot.
Since Truman, this country has been essentially run by increasingly candy-assed idiots. I see that trend only worsening in the forseeable future.
There is no England anymore.

Possible new oil refinery in South Dakota
June 1, 2008 - 17:13 ET by nkviking75Union County, South Dakota, will vote Tuesday on a zoning change to allow a new oil refinery to be built. As we all know, this would be the first new US oil refinery in decades. I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention, especially from conservatives. This is being treated as a local story.
When you put the clowns in charge, don't be surprised when a circus breaks out.
I can understand why there
June 1, 2008 - 21:13 ET by NL207I can understand why there is no opposition. This new refinery isn't going to be near any centers of demand nor any centers of crude oil supply. It's probably not worth opposing for the Luddites passing themselves off as Greens. There is a good chance it will fail economically because of its location. If that happens, the Luddites will just say "See! We told you so! No new refineries are ncessarty."

June 1, 2008 - 17:19 ET by ThatDudeAnybody else see these "global climate change" propaganda commercials? The newest one I've seen is riddled with images of polar bears (it was put on the threatened list with an exception to AGW, right?). It carried the same tone as those "feed the children" infomercials. It's upsetting that they're so effective at making the viewer feel guilty. Leave emotions out of it and stick to the facts. Even when it comes to those feed the children commercials, I'm loathe to donate simply because of the victim posturing. It just goes to show how poor of a move it was to allow the polar bear to be put on the threatened list (despite evidence to the contrary) even when AGW was excluded from the reasons.

June 1, 2008 - 17:37 ET by Parker1227Anyone know who this guy is? I have heard him say some strange (biased?) things recently.
Referring to Obama's Trinity Church fiasco, Brown recently said that "some" people think this issue has hurt Obama. Some? Is there any rational person on planet earth who follows politics that doesn't see the overwhelming evidence of Obama being hurt by Trinity? Why else would he leave his church of 20 years?
And just in the last hour, Brown cited a poll about America's impatience with the Iraq war, saying the people don't like the way the war is being "perpetrated."
Slip of the tongue, or has Brown been drinking too much Moveon.org Kool Aid?
Clue to Steve Brown. War crimes are "perpetrated" the Iraq war is "conducted" or "prosecuted" or whatever.

June 1, 2008 - 18:29 ET by ricklailHere in NC there is no collective bargaining for state employees. The NCAE is just a lobbing group but they do have a lot of power over our General Assembly. One reason that most teachers join is the insurance offer by the NCAE. Several years ago there was an organization, PACE I believe it was, that try to get teachers to join offering better insurance than the NCAE. I don't know what happened to it. When I ran for school board in Gaston County in 94 I was interviewed by the NCAE local chapter. I knew I would not get their support because I was for vouchers. I only lost by about 900 votes. I won the county precints but lost big in the city of Gastonia. The NCAE ran ads against me heavily there.
By the way when the local chapter came around solicting funds to be used against me and the other 4 on our slate, many teachers refused to give. They were given a hard time but they could not be fired for not giving.

Baseball
June 1, 2008 - 19:17 ET by ChaitealoverI've always loved the game, but there have been long periods in which I just wasn't really paying attention to the major league version. So I'm puzzled by an expression that's come into fashion over the past couple of years: "walk-off home run."
When I was a kid there were 2 kinds of HRs: either the ball went out of the playing field [a home run] or the runner was fast enough to beat the return of the ball from the outfield [an-inside-the-park home run]. Who coined this silly "Walk-off home run" expression and why have all the sportscasters picked up on it? It's annoying.

June 1, 2008 - 19:34 ET by AJSHOPERegardless of what type of hit it is, if it scores a run in the bottom of the 9th or beyond and puts the home team ahead, it's considered a walk-off because as soon as it's hit (regardless of how many outs there are) the game is over and everyone walks off the field.
Ah, but
June 1, 2008 - 19:48 ET by ChaitealoverI've heard the term used numerous times when it was not the game-winning hit, just another HR in any inning. And the term "game-winning" is very clear in it's meaning, "walk-off" is not.
I'd still like to know who created it.

The Whitey Tape..rumor...about Michelle
June 2, 2008 - 00:32 ET by JayTeeI find this Rumor to be interesting, as coming from the Media, Internet, Fox News, Radio...it reminds me of the Scooter Libbey Trial....Guilty without Evidence. It reminds me of the McClellan Book..... Bush Lied, etc.....Guilty without Evidence.

But, as a Conservative I have to discount it as just a Slanderous Rumor, and it should be ignored....for now.
