Ed Gillespie, counselor to President Bush, fired off a letter today to NBC News President Steve Capus complaining about misleading editing in Richard Engel's recent interview with the president.

NBC "News"
May 19, 2008 - 17:39 ET by allanfThe word "News" should be in quotes when discussing NBC. The network has made a deliberate leftward tilt. It openly endorses Barack Obama.
NBC shamelessly hawks "Green is Universal" at the same time its parent GE markets wind turbines and solar panels.
Calling Richard Engel a journalist is like calling Tonya Harding a sportwoman. These folks are advocates.

Well, actually Tonya Harding is a skank. I agree about Engel, though. :)
Three Cheers
May 19, 2008 - 17:49 ET by deerjerkydaveI just read Ed Gillespie's letter and it is a great read. I suspect that it will fall on deaf ears. NBC news corruption most likely permeates from the top down. Just like Dr. Singer's recent open complaint to ABC for the hatchet job they did on his interview regarding global warming.
In all honesty, CBS, ABC, and NBC have become worse than the National Enquirer and are borderline Weekly World News with their intentioned lies.
And The Civil War too
May 19, 2008 - 19:01 ET by TaserCatI liked how Gillespie continued to take NBC to task for its declaration of Civil war in Iraq. Now the network has so conveniently and quietly dropped it. Hmmm??? How about a public declaration to the end of the Iraq Civil War NBC!?!

May 19, 2008 - 19:44 ET by ckc1227If the administration had the cajones, they would stop dealing with NBC altogether for the remainder of their term. If you continue to reward and/or excuse bad behavior, you will continue to get bad behavior.
Gotta say, I like this
May 19, 2008 - 19:52 ET by KC MulvilleCome out swinging against these smug bastards who cheat the American public of the truth. If McCain wants to passive-aggressively absorb their nonsense, fine, but Bush doesn't have to. Where has this Bush been for the last two years? Hiding because he didn't want to get bad press? How's that strategy been working out?
Bush has a bully pulpit. We gave it to him so he could use it. Go get 'em tiger ...
One-Track Mind
May 19, 2008 - 22:23 ET by third eyeUp next on NBC, lifelong Republican George Bush tells us why, after much consideration, he's now backing Barack Obama for President.
Stay tuned to find out what he thinks of his own failed policies...and what made him change his mind.
