May 2, 2008 - 07:34 ET by okiehawk44Just read where America is giving Egypt $100M and consultants from our Army Corps of Engineers to help them build a fence between the Egyptian Sinai & Gaza. Hum? America can't seem to figure out how to build a simple fence along our own border, but we can go half way around the world to show others how to do it.

Apparently politicians think if you take a nonexistant program and call it a virtual program it will sound more effective.
And why is Miley Cyrus writing her memoirs? She's 15! Page one, she was born. Page two, she grew up in Tennessee. Page three, she became Hannah Montana. Not exactly Angela's Ashes.

A few deathly ill patients in California using it for obviously medical purposes and just wanting to be left the hell alone? Take them to jail, at great taxpayer expense, despite the fact that we're in a sea of red ink everyone wants to ignore!!! Good to see a logical policy angle from our obese government, eh? Hmmm. There's gotta be a joke worth $50 in here somewhere, but maybe it's just that the joke has always been the tax and spend drugwar!

I did my best, but I was accused of having a chip on my shoulder. (Hey, just because I'm hard to debate when I'm obviously-right is no reason to diss me!) I wasn't gonna post the Reason-link, but after that, some humor-consequence was deserved. ;)

Not one funny pot joke, despite at least half a dozen attempts. Conservatives are simply too hysterical about this particular policy-failure to make decently-funny jokes about weed, despite ample material provided by both the Feds and the potheads. The best y'all can do is: "Duh, Democrats smoke weed!" 'jokes', over & over, which tend to yield "yawn...did you really cough-up fifty bucks for THAT???" jabs from the likes of me.
And even though it obviously dislodged either a chip or someone's chip-detector, I think my "political double-standards on busts" take on the policy's expensive failure, while mocking & disrespectful as usual, IS kinda funny. Or at least it would be kinda funny, absent the taxpayer-funded trampling of civil liberties for the patient-victims. Different strokes, I guess. But it does seem a bit "odd" when our rulers totally-ignore blatantly-scheduled mass recreational use, while zealously going after tiny groups of dying patients who just want to be left the hell alone.
