Golf fans HAD to be enthralled with yesterday's third round of the Masters. What a spectacular day setting up for an amazingly exciting final round.
Can Immelman hold on, or will Tiger make up the ground he needs to?
Some great hockey games last night as well.
And, how 'bout Boston College taking the hockey NCAA championship?

Wow, I guess we all beat
April 13, 2008 - 06:42 ET by Gary P JacksonWow, I guess we all beat the chickens up this morning!!
Not a lot of racers here, but what about the Phoenix race last night! Sure thought Mark Martin in the Army car had it won. Jimmy Johnson made the gamble on fuel mileage pay off though. Ran out of gas right after his victory lap!
The drag racers are in Las Vegas this weekend, with finals on ESPN2@ 7pm central. Hard to pick the winners on this one. Two John Force cars qualified well in Funny Car. Robert Hight (John's son-in-law) is number one with a 4.849@ 321.27 mph. Ashley qualified number four in her Ford with a 4.867@ 320.97. She's got a real handle on that thing!
And speaking of Ashley, she's featured in the May issue of Men's Fitness Magazine, that goes on sale April 14th. Here's a sneak peek: http://nhra.com/note...
Tiger
April 13, 2008 - 08:05 ET by ricklailDon't ever count Tiger out. If he starts to make a run those in front of him will be intimidated. It has happened before.
Many of those NASCAR fans here remember how seeing that black # 3 coming up from behind was intimidating. Tiger does the same thing. They start to wet their pants and shake in their shoes. They concentrate more on him than their golf game.

Tiger Woods
April 13, 2008 - 10:54 ET by Cool ArrowToday is set up perfectly. If Woods goes into a Sunday with the lead, you can count on him winning.
But if Woods is a few strokes back coming into Sunday, things get really exciting.
And as usual, the greens are glass. It would take me a year to learn to touch the putt that softly.

Comeback Kid?
April 13, 2008 - 11:24 ET by dboIt's ironic that Woods has never won a major when trailing on Sunday. Last year he was only one back at Augusta but blew his chance when he put it in the water on 15. It sounds like it might be quite windy today which probably plays in his favor.
→ Tiger Woods
April 13, 2008 - 11:36 ET by Cool ArrowIf Woods finishes on top, I want to watch him earn it.
No easy task with Immelman in the zone.

Equal Opportunity
April 13, 2008 - 17:32 ET by CaringwhiteguyThere are challengers to Immelman other than Tiger Woods. Shouldn't they be provided equal opportunity on this blog?

CBS Announcers
April 13, 2008 - 18:17 ET by cheesegraterNot if the announcers have thier way. To hear them talk, Tiger is at the mercy of the wind and course. The others are mearly making mistakes or lucky. Especially Immelman.

USC football is right up
April 13, 2008 - 18:33 ET by balboaUSC football is right up there as well.
I'm not saying you don't tout the top teams, but I get soooo tired of hearing what a genius Bill "I didn't know that was cheating" Belichik, just as I get tired of hearing how great Duke is (until the tourney), and this year Tyler Hansborough.
So, how are the Yankees
April 13, 2008 - 21:51 ET by ThisnThatSo, how are the Yankees doing without Joe Torre? Was it worth letting him go? Was Joe as bad as Steinbrenner thinks?
I think the Yankees made a big mistake. HUGE.
