"Is this anything more than the media building up a candidate, particularly a woman, and then tearing her down because it makes a good story?" Fox News Channel's Terry Keenan asked to open her December 4 interview with NewsBusters senior editor and "Whitewash" co-author Tim Graham.
Video (3:20): Real (2.45 MB) and Windows (2.04), plus MP3 audio (1.52 MB).
Brought on "Your World w/Neil Cavuto" to discuss media coverage of Hillary Clinton's slippage in some recent polls, Graham dismissed Keenan's suggestion that Clinton is a victim of a soft form of sexism by the media:
I think it's that time in the race where, you know, voters are really starting to look seriously at these people, you know, voters are paying attention. And you know that last poll might have just been ridiculously high, that she had like 50 percent support. I mean, so, yeah, I mean I think a lot of the coverage is, "Well, gee, it's tighter than we think. It's certainly tight in Iowa, so let's treat it as a little tighter than it is."
I don't think that means the news media don't still like Hillary Clinton, just like they like Barack Obama. And I think they're trying to choose between which first [minority or woman] president you want.
Graham later added that "the news media never treated" Hillary like a co-president, "they were always soft on her," and yet now Sen. Clinton is citing her years as first lady as her valid executive experience to take the keys to the Oval Office.

MSM cound not elect Kerry either..
December 4, 2007 - 18:17 ET by JayTeeThis Hillary election thing with the MSM touting her as "Regal" and insisting her election is inevitable is so like the Kerry "Exit polls' and MSM coverage that was trying to make Kerry president before the American People had cast their votes, or even counted votes.
Comapred to Republican candidates Hillary and Obama have no Experience, CEO, Govenor, Mayor, Business, etc.......they are Career Politicians and very little else.
Americans aren't stupid, MSM is. The latest drop in Polls started happening as soon as we approached the Reality of the Iowa/NH ballots being cast...the ballots don't lie, MSM does.
As the Reality "Check" gets closer, MSM does some reality poll checks, so they don't look too stupid. Plus it adds DRAMA.

Of all people to be called a "goon", Tim Graham should be one of the last people on earth. He's the epitome of low key dignity. Even considering the source, the comment was so wildly misdirected as to be hysterical.

That is true. Since she wasn't an "administration official," she was treated like a "civilian" and never subjected to the scrutiny that Clinton's other advisers and aides were.
But just like everything else, she plays both sides of things....saying she was just a wifely supporter, or claiming credit for policy and claiming her "experience" in the White House makes her ready to go "on day one," depending on which serves her needs at the time.
And Mrs. Two-face has the nerve to claim that Obama wasn't honest about planning to run for President. Does anyone seriously believe that her one ambition in 2000 was to be a long-serving Senator from New York? If she didn't know then that she was going to run for President, she's the only one that didn't.
I can't believe she spouts this stuff with a straight face.
And the biggest ?
December 5, 2007 - 00:09 ET by Cape Conservativein my mind is how this supposedly highly educated, in-the-know woman has NEVER been able to remember a darn thing when questioned!
What kind of president would she make if "not to my knowledge" or "I can't recall" are her trademark responses? How many times did she repeat those answers during Congressional investigations?
