2007 Weblog Awards: Polls Close at 5:00 PM November 8

  • Bookmark and Share

As NewsBusters readers are likely aware, we are one of the finalists for Best Conservative Blog in this year's Weblog Awards. Interested parties should vote here early and often as the polls close on November 8 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Also, NB contributor PJ Gladnick's blog DUmmie FUnnies is up for Funniest Blog. Please show your support here.

In addition, NB contributor Tom Blumer's BizzyBlog is up for Best Business Blog. Please show him your love here.

Finally, we encourage voting for Stephen McIntyre's Climate Audit as Best Science Blog here. Folks should be aware that Steve is the individual that debunked Michael Mann's absurd Hockey Stick theory in 2003, and recently exposed mistakes in how NOAA calculated average temperatures in the United States since the year 2000.

Please also be advised that NewsBusters' friend Steven Milloy has graciously placed his support behind McIntyre even though his own blog Junk Science is also a finalist. Steve has once again presented himself as the class act we fondly know him to be.

Good luck, all!

Thanks for the reminder...

I also mentioned it tonight on OT...

Vote Early ...Vote Often!.... as they say....

Go NBs Go!

Been voting early. And

Been voting early. And voting often. But it has been tough getting on today. Rules are you can vote once per day.

Thanks for the Junk Science link. I see that no one has stepped forward to even try to claim the $100,000 prize for proving that AGW is real and a big deal.

I thought this was a no brainer. We keep getting told the debate's over. So someone should easily be able to prove it.

So they raised the prize to $125,000

I just voted for NB on the web site that you provided a link to.  Your blog is one of the best.  I enjoy stopping by here often.

If there is one thing that I think that you could improve on it is to bring back the political cartoon that was top of page every day.  I looked forward to it.  It was great satire.

Don't get me wrong, though.  I enjoy your latest effort, "Newsbusted."  It is witty, irreverent and takes just the right bite at the left.

Thank you, NB, and good luck!

NB got my vote, but Malkin was second choice

I like NB because of the wide array of articles and especially the comments/opinions of the regular registered users (even the trollish, since they stimulate stimulating backlash), but I like MM's site very much also. The posts there, like here, are generally cogent and well-researched. Congrats to ALL of the finalists, though.

Now that you voted, call

Now that you voted, call your kids and have them vote by their cell phone email! It's really one vote per day per computer (or cell phone).

Lions for Lambs

Why is NB advertising for the anti-war propaganda movie "Lions for Lambs?"

See upper right hand corner of page for ad.

Forget 911, I dial 9MM.

Hey, it kills two birds

Hey, it kills two birds with one stone. A BS film promotion throws their money away and NB gets additional funding. It's a win-win in my book.

When asked if he went to war with Iraq to derail the impeachment vote: “I don’t think any serious person would believe that any President would do such a thing." - President Clinton (Dec 1998).

Excuse me for taking an

Excuse me for taking an ADVERTISEMENT at face value, but isn't NB imiplicitly ENDORSING the movie?

Forget 911, I dial 9MM.

Nope

We're not saying to click on it at all.

Money over principles is the

Money over principles is the American way

It's classic Orwellian liberalism to shut up the opposition.

Google and other liberal-based sites refuse advertisements that endorse "opposing" positions, but NewsBusters accepts them.

Once again, it's apparent that conservatives do not fear freedom of expression....while liberals do.

I'll remember your words

I'll remember your words the next time Ron Paul gets criticized for taking money from a liberal or controversial interest group.

Forget 911, I dial 9MM.

Of course, fossten, we've been talking about

commercial enterprises, and SOMEONE will criticize a politican no matter what he does...but thanks for yet another tiresome Ron Paul insertion....

here here!

Keep taking that money newsbusters, keep letting them waste their advertising dollars, oh, wait a minute, Maybe they are telling us that a lot of liberals are here silently, not watching t.v. and are trying to reach them, to tell them it is George Bush's fault.

It is up to the advertiser to make sure they are getting their money's worth. STUPID LIBS.

Done and done

I am unashamed to admit that I have acted like a Democrat: I slashed the tires of some jerks going to vote for Powerline and voted about 6 times in the past few days.
