Last night here in Roanoke VA there was a rally for her thighness in a downtown restaurant.  At the last count there were TWELVE (yes 12) supporters there.  Too funny.

Any of you participate in the annual Chunky Soup "Click for Cans" contest? Fans can log into a website each day, click their favorite team, and the team that gets the most clicks wins soup for the needy in their city. Over the past years it's been a horse race right up to the end, but last year, starting about halfway through, the Greenbay Packers started drawing votes in HUGE numbers. This could be attributed to a steady growth of fans logging into the site as awareness grew, but this past year they would have needed pretty much every fan logging in every day to sustain their numbers... or they found a way to cheat.

This year the Packers already have 226,000 votes, while the Colts at #2 have 150,000, and the Jags at #3 have about 56,000. The system is supposed to allow one vote per day per computer, but it's pretty obvious this year that there's some organized cheating going on.

...where ever you are, your guy Ron Paul is on C-SPAN's Washington Journal and he just said he and Kucinich may team up, he said they both have same foreign policy thinking, blah blah blah.... he said it is too early to tell, but it sounded like they have talked this over from the way I took it anyway.

That ought to be a real winning team eh?

Al Gore receiving the Nobel only goes to show God has a sense of humor. Either that, or the panel that hands these things out thought the award went to the biggest liar and crook. Who knows. I'm not turning my TV on today.

Rally online with fans of Dr. Ron Paul.

Some of you will remember my posts about the Architect of the Capitol (acting) refusing to put the name "God" on a flag certificate requested by an Eagle Scout (dirty, rotten paramilitary hoodlum) to honor his Grandfather.

Well, the Democratic leadership has (!GASP!) reversed its decision and will allow messages requested by constituents to be inscribed on the certificates.

I was channel flipping last night, and came across Nancy Grace's show on CNN. She and some guests were talking about this alledged conspiracy by some 15-yr old to go on a Columbine rampage in his high school. She kept showing video of tables covered with sinister looking shotguns, assault rifles, submachine guns, and pistols, and they were talking about how the mother should ne arrested for allowing her kid to buy all these guns, and how these guns showed that the kid was serious about going through with his attack.

The first thought that crossed my mind, as an avid military arms collector, was: "How does a 15-yr old kid get about $200,000 in weaponry?" I looked closer at the guns on the table and saw some features that mark them as airsoft guns, not real guns. Now I'm reading today that almost all the guns on the table were "air powered weapons", which is a hoot because airsoft guns can't even do the damage a standard BB gun can do. Grace also reported that "hand grenades" were found, but reports are now showing that these were infact standard paintball grenades that the kid had dumped the paint from and tried to put black powder into and "detonate" with a firecracker fuse. Anyone who knows explosives knows that a grenade made of soft vinyl plastic is not going to explode. The powder will start to burn, split the plastic, and have a brief flash of flame and smoke, but that's it.

So now we've gone from an aresenal complete with machine guns and hand grenades, to two .22 rifles (which my kids had at that age) and a 9MM rifle that is debateable as to whether a 15-yr old should have access to it.

Cavuto mentioned someting this the other day. Apparently, the deficit is at an all time low, and no one in the MSM has spoken or written about it. Yet, remember how all of the Libs and their pals in the press used the Deficit Arguement against the tax cuts AND making them permanent? It went something like this, "If we cut the tax rates, we will decrease the amount of money we collect. With all of the money the President is spending on the War on Terrorism, Iraq, etcetera, etcetera, we need to have that money." Amazing how when they are proven wrong they just ignore it and go one to the next suprious arguement against lowering the tax rates.
