Appearing in the 7:00 a.m. half-hour of Thursday's "Fox & Friends," Media Research Center president and NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell noted that former "CBS Evening News" anchor Dan Rather is in utter "meltdown" over the National Guard hoax "although it's been proven documentably, no pun intended, to be false."

Asked by guest co-host Heather Nauert if anyone is going to buy Rather's claims that CBS is covering up the truth to curry favor with the White House, Bozell replied:
Heather, that's utter nonsense... There were three different experts that CBS brought on. It turns out none of them were [document] experts to begin with. And it turns out that none of them gave the green light to CBS, and in fact, if I recall, at least one of them told CBS, "don't put this thing on the air.

A Legend

His satellite stint is not enough to bolster his ego, and suing his fellow liars and lefties will put him on the headline. And he did, and that's about it. Next week, his name will going to disappear...

Perhaps Dan should take these words to heart. His actions just go to prove the phrase that "There is no FOOL like an old FOOL"

Oh, certainly they will. When >30% of poll respondents believe that 9/11 was an inside job, you have to ask that question? Some folks still believe that JFK was assassinated by a) the CIA, b) the Mafia, c) Lyndon Johnson, etc. A lot of folks believe that any global warming we are experiencing is caused by the United States and/or the industrialized nations. About a third of the population of the U.S. still believe that Democrats are for the working man. If people can swallow all of that bilge, what makes Nauert believe that people will exhibit rationality about this matter?

September 27, 2007 - 12:14 ET byCBS is the network that ran the story. Whether or not he is employed by them--Dan Rather is NOT CBS. CBS execs viewed the segment with two corporate attorneys and the head of the news division and decided to go with it. They could have killed it if they wanted but CBS alone made the decision to air it, therefore it makes them liable, not Rather. He'll win the lawsuit.
