MRC/NB’s Graham on O'Reilly Factor Re 'Huffington's House of Horrors'

  • Bookmark and Share

Tim Graham, Director of Media Analysis for the Media Research Center and Senior Editor of the MRC's NewsBusters, appeared Friday night on the Fox News Channel’s "The O’Reilly Factor" to discuss the MRC's Special Report, "Huffington’s House of Horrors: A Compendium of Far-Left Flame-Throwing, Name-Calling, and Attack-Dogging."

After the jump: The full text of Alec Baldwin's fantasy about killing Dick Cheney by dropping Osama bin Laden's corpse on him and John Cusack's Bush is “human scum” supported by “flag-sucking half wits” quote, both of which Bill O'Reilly and Graham recited on the September 14 program.

(Graham will appear Monday morning on Laura Ingraham's radio show where he'll be an in-studio guest live at 10:30am EDT. Ingraham's show is produced from 9am to noon EDT, but airs on delay in some markets, so Graham will be on in the second half of the second hour of the three hour show. An affiliate list.)

O'Reilly and Graham spent the most time discussing these two outrageous celebrity quotes published on Huffington Post (excerpted from the MRC's Special Report):

Could I Kill Cheney with Osama’s Corpse? On the Fourth of July, 2006, Alec Baldwin advanced his double-murder fantasy, by hurling the corpse of Osama bin Laden over a balcony onto Vice President Dick Cheney standing below:

At that instant, Osama Bin Laden comes out of a door. He is oblivious. I make my move. Bin Laden reacts, but too late. We tumble into his upper floor suite. I have him in my grasp and, conveniently, I spy a box cutter on the table. (Hey...it’s a fantasy.) Osama struggles, swearing at me in his native tongue, until I jam the box cutter into his neck. I do it again. Fading, Bin Laden says (this time in English for my benefit) “Good luck with 30 Rock. I am a big Tina Fey fan.” I gather up the body of the world’s most notorious terrorist and hurl it over the balcony. Then, in the final stroke of luck, bin Laden lands on Dick Cheney.

Bush’s “Human Scum,” Supported by “Flag-Sucking Half Wits”? On November 11, 2006, actor John Cusack was no slouch in the HuffPost’s apparent competition in Hollywood Bush-bashing:

Bush 2. How depressing, corrupt, unlawful and tragically absurd the administration’s world view actually is...how low the moral bar has been lowered...and (though I know I’m capable of intellectually lazy notions of collective guilt) how complicit our silence as citizens is...Nixon, a true fiend, looks like a paragon of virtue next to the criminally incompetent robber barons now raiding the present and future...This is indeed a league of bastards — these men are human scum. [The first two ellipses are Cusack’s.]

Cusack then supportively quoted his idol, the drug-addled journalist Hunter S. Thompson -- an excerpt from his 2002 book Kingdom of Fear that’s widely circulated on the leftist blogosphere -- declaring that America is now a “Nazi monster,” and denounced conservatives as “flag-sucking half wits,” Klansmen and Nazis:

We have become a Nazi monster in the eyes of the whole world – a nation of bullies and bastards who would rather kill than live peacefully. We are not just Whores for power and oil, but killer whores with hate and fear in our hearts. We are human scum, and that is how history will judge us. No redeeming social value. Just whores. Get out of our way, or we’ll kill you. Well, shit on that dumbness, George W. Bush does not speak for me or my son or my mother or my friends or the people I respect in this world. We didn’t vote for these cheap, greedy little killers who speak for America today – and we will not vote for them again in 2002. Or 2004. Or ever. Who does vote for these dishonest shitheads? Who among us can be happy and proud of having all this innocent blood on our hands? Who are these swine? These flag-sucking half-wits who get fleeced and fooled by stupid rich kids like George Bush? They are the same ones who wanted to have Muhammad Ali locked up for refusing to kill gooks. They speak for all that is cruel and stupid and vicious in the American character. They are the racists and hate mongers among us – they are the Ku Klux Klan. I piss down the throats of these Nazis. And I am too old to worry about whether they like it or not. Fuck them.

Of course attacking and mud

Of course attacking and mud slinging conservatives is sport and falls under recreation, only when you ado such to the Dems and liberals is it offensive.

Nuke em til they glow then shoot em in the dark.

Tim Graham on BOR.

I just emailed all my friends and told them to watch BOR tonight.

And Tim, please don't take any prisoners, or any guff from BOR, for that matter. Tell him what you really think.

After seeing BOR's shabby treatment of Neal Boortz, as well as his unwarranted dissing of the Swift Boat Veterans and his overall dislike of the internet in general and blogs in particular, both liberal and conservative, I don't fully trust the guy.

BOR made a huge switch about

BOR made a huge switch about 2 years ago.  For ratings, I'm sure.  He used to be more right wing.

Spot on Sonny

Spot on.

O'Reilly wants maximum ratings. He gets that by peeling off CNN slightly left of center viewers.

Nothing really that wrong with his MO.  One of his main bugbears (and highly valid) is the way the establishment let's down children.

Amongst normal people this is a no-brainer, so although this usually involves him bashing liberal Democrats, it will not alienate moderate Democrats who will be clearly rooting for the kids against the state and opinhead judges.

He's bound to mention the "right-wing" hate sites tonight and he's "even handed" with his discussion.

But that's not really the point: that there are loony Nazi sites out there. It's the influence a website has on a political party that is the issue.

So I would love to know any conservative website that has a tenth the influence on the Republican party that moveon and Kos has on the Democrats.

Just doesn't exist.

Jack Bauer...That's an excellent point.

Liberals try so hard to come off as being the free thinkers, the imaginitive ones, the intelligent ones.  And yet they parrot the same sound bites and quotations that are supplied on a daily basis by GMA, DailyKos, MoveOn, etc.  It's really quite hillarious, and it would be down right hysterical, if it didn't have such real impact on these peoples minds.

I still don't understand what these people want...but more and more, it seems like they yearn for the capitulation of our nation to socialist and communist forces.

We will not relent, we will not falter, we will not cease, we will not surrender.  America will remain, in spite of our enemies.

is well taken.

If there was an honest political discourse amongst the American media, how can it not be mentioned that by all yardsticks Hillary Clinton is a socialist.

Albeit of the European, welfare stateist variety, but a sociliast down to her bony tax grabbing fingers nonetheless.

Huffpo many have their own

Huffpo many have their own issues , but I can think of several nutroots blogs that they can't hold a candle to.

Huffington Dictatorship

I would hope that you would add the Huffington Post latest scam which was to email "all bloggers" inviting them to post "so they could become a featured blogger".

Huffington left the impression it would be a blogger of substance they would choose to feature for a month. The facts soon were after luring people in was that "it was a popularity contest" by who could get the most "fans". One lunatic named blogginbitch (sp) was desperately asking people to add her as she screamed at everyone in caps.

The night of the Minnesota bridge collapse beside myself there was only one person concerned about the dead people. The rest like is the case on Huffington were ranting about anything to hammer President Bush.

My most unfavorite was the necrophile Capt. Edward Graham....one of many fakes who have no military background and only get a thrill about listing the US dead each day like al Qaeda.

Arianna Huffington is the skirt version of Kos with no intellect, uses non intelligent malevolent people for profit and then appears like all Democrats as the "mainstream".

Oh and I will repeat, Bob Woodruff's wife Lee is featured on Huffington and one of her solutions for sexual perverts was enabling them by giving them Penthouse and Playboy.

Would be most enjoyable to see ABC, book companies and Hollywood studios have to answer questions on why they employ people who advocate the looney things on Huffington.

The "Featured Blogger"

Was brought up on tonight's show.

Huffington must be so proud

Huffington must be so proud of the stable of top thinkers and fine writers she has assembled. Of course, BOR will automatically add that he doesn't like the "kool aid drinker" blogs of the right, just to show that's he's above it all (to pick up on Dave R's point). The other night, he tried this tactic with Tony Snow, in regards to the government in Iraq (saying that many conservatives thought the Iraqi government was doing fine), but Snow wouldn't let him get away with it. I know our Tim won't let O'Reilly get away with that either.

This is an example of a HuffPo Post

Our Father, which art in the White House, hallowed be thy name.

Thy empire come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in the Oval Office.

Give us this day our daily dead,
And forgive us our trespasses against
your credibility
as we attack them who dare to even think of attacking
us.

And lead us not into the temptation to cut and run
But deliver us from the
evil of diplomacy.

For thine is the empire, and the power, and the glory, for ever and
ever,
War without end. Amen.

Mr. Graham,

Mr. Graham,

Just caught the segment. That was most excellently done.

I only wish you had been allowed more time.

Tim and O'Reilly: As I've

Tim and O'Reilly:

As I've mentioned before, I've been a regular viewer of O'Reilly for the past nine years.  Here are a few of my thoughts about "The Factor" in general and Tim's appearance in particular:

Contrary to a comment above, in my opinion O'Reilly has actually moved much farther "right" in the past couple of years.  I can't recall the last time I heard him even claim to be ideologically neutral, whereas he formerly made the assertion quite often.

He repeatedly slams the "left blogosphere" and by name...primarily DailyKos, HuffingtonPost and Media Matters, and of course "the most dangerous man in America":  George Soros.  He will off-handedly say something like "well, there are extremist far right sites, too" but the only specific example of which I am aware was a single mention of FreeRepublic. [The Freepers went ballistic, talked about suing him, and rightfully so, inasmuch as O'Reilly's "examples" of "hate speech" were weak and misleading.]  On the other hand, his attacks on the far left sites probably number well in excess of a hundred.

His criticism of the Swiftboaters was very tepid.  His supposedly tough interview of John O'Neil (sp.) was totally softball.  The only thing O'Reilly disputed was the intimation that Kerry was dishonorable and unpatriotic.

Tim's criticism of the HuffPo commentary on Tony Snow was spot on.  An  offensive blog may have been removed, but I read the comments following Snow's announced departure and many--certainly not all--were truly disgusting.

The Alec Baldwin/bin Laden/Cheney example was weak.  It was a joke/fantasy, far less offensive than much of Coulter's fantasy humor, and if my recollection is accurate, did not end with a desire for Cheney's death as Tim stated...[only that a dead bin Laden "fall" on him].

"flag-sucking half wits" Yep

"flag-sucking half wits" Yep that's me. Rather be that than a flag-burning half wit:)

Then there's the Sean Penn

speaking conventions held as gatherings all the dem activists attend, where their boy dixie cup star screams obscenities and demands Bush be executed and or tossedin prison where he belongs.

The dems politely clap and cheer, and have their next raver up on stage. Then MM sits next to Jimmah in the catbird seat during the convention.

I mean come on. The regular democrats are now just as looney in public as the kossers and the huffers. One hopes they return to normalcy in the back rooms, but I certainly have my doubts.

Brad Sherman was a recent example of insanity and koshead huffing in the Patreaus briefing. He made up a "constitutional crisis" fake scenario whereby GWB kept warring despite congress cutting off funds and outlawing it, then asked Patreaus what he would do.

When Patreaus replied that he would consult his lawyers, Sherman retorted, much like Balboa, or Manny, or hater, "So you're saying you'd disobey an order of the President ! " Patreaus said again, he'd contact his lawyer.

This is the kind of infantile insanity we have in congress from democrats nowadays. It's like a 3rd grader gotcha game. His pretend scenario includes Bush ignoring congress and Patreus ignoring the Commander In Chief.

The strange thing was Patreaus cracked a smile, and the bald headed bimbolibdem Sherman was smirking as well.

Inagination and imaginings and imaginary "constitutional crisis" and "fake scenarios" and "fake reports" and overblown "fake torture tales", and "fake dictator rants" and "fake nazi whining"...

It's all a fantasy for the idiot dems, and any words are ok to use to describe even their fantasies, as they pretend to be serious... or worse yet, they are serious, and don't see a problem with that.

It's similar to Tony Snow busting that wacko reporter just yesterday. She wanted to talk about "Bush popularity ratings" concerning the question "has the surge worked". Snow busted her INSANE position, but she rebelled and tried to defend it, she was dead serious.

This is a huge problem now. "Top" reporters on the national scene either have no sense left, or are so consumed with years of their off kilter biased comparisons and spin machining "news" that they are unable to come to grips with how far out they have become, even when it is calmly pointed out.

Freak: Has the surge worked? Well Bush's popularity rating is down, so noone should be asked to believe him.

Tony: The Democratic congress' and the press' popularity rating is even lower, so who can believe..

Freak lib exposed: I'm not, we're not talking about them, I wanna talk about Bush.

Tony: But you can't equate popularity with the question concerning how the surge has been doing.

Freakolibnut: Do you xpect the American people to believe Bush, noone believes him.

Tony: But the same poll said 57% believe the surge is working

MSM drone: I want to talk about Bush

Tony: You should read your own polls

nutterbutterlibberstutter: Thank you nothing, goodbye forever, Bush is bad surge is bad, vote democrat or we all die, now that's the only thing fair and unbiased for the American people to hear, considering how they feel. And now, back the war on Bush, Wolf ?

Then the capper, the outrageous capper every single democrat is using, " Bush lied us into war, he sexed up the intel, he fooled us !!!"

Well, it's a LIE, period. We all know it's a lie, but then, the democrats pretend noone knows, and lay their little dumb noggins down on the table and claim Bush decieved them...

It was tellnig when I heard Hillary's cackle in that clip here ( I think ) after the questioner asked her about being fooled by Bush, making her ineligible to lead the nation - she cackled and said it wasn't that simple she talked to a lot of people a lot  experts and various that and those and that....

Aww well, the lie is in the demos head, and they all preach it, but they all are well aware it's a lie, and when they're cornered, the truth slips out....

As if ANYONE could possibly believe that a President or even evil Dick could control the entire information channel to congress...with all the Valerie Plames in the CIA - it's about as hilarious as claiming Batman and Robin keep everyone safe in Gotham DC.

"Lying morons" pretty much characterizes these democrats nowadays, I don't respect a single one of them, not a single one they put on TV and run around the nation spewing their insane lies for their msm hate parties.

"Contrary to a comment

"Contrary to a comment above, in my opinion O'Reilly has actually moved much farther "right" in the past couple of years."

He hasn't moved farther to the right at all. He just follows the nonsense where the nonsense leads him, and, more often than not, it leads to the left. That's the fact, Jack(or Jer, if you prefer).

Perhaps you can tell us which radical right wing blog is hosting conventions for all the Republicans, conventions they dare not skip? While you're at it, maybe you can also tell us which radical right wing blogs demand that their Republican presidential candidates do not appear in debates hosted by left-leaning networks such as CNN and MSNBC, followed with a list of Republican candidates that have complied with these demands, if they exist?

Lastly, maybe you can provide us with a list of radical right wing blogs that get "family discounts" for full page ads in the newspaper of record in this country when they want to attack a 4 star general who is only doing his job. Wait, silly me, that wasn't a family discount, that was the standard discount rate for when no specific run date is required. That's right, it was a TOTAL coincidence that the ad ran the same day that the general was to give his testimony.

Please. If you don't see the difference in the two sides, it's because you don't want to see it. Sure, there are some radical folks on the right, but it's nowhere near the level that exists on the left. Plus, those on the radical right have no real power, unlike the radical left, which has candidates kissing their asses....on both cheeks. It's one of the few times you'll see a lib lean to the right.
