Sen Clinton
August 21, 2007 - 10:34 ET by JDWKerry was assaulted on every imaginable side yet his negative polls did not come close to where sen Clinton's are. Why?
How will the libs react when she abandons the kooks and moves to the center?
Will America support a female president?
After these 3 decades, what more could she have to offer?

August 21, 2007 - 11:03 ET by BruzillaAfter sitting through one of Obama's stump speeched on CSPAN, I just don't see how anyone in their right mind could vote for Clinton. Everytime she opens her mouth, and uses that irratating screech of a voice, she's attacking someone or something. Everything is bad, bad, bad! Then she starts to spin herself up, her voice gets even harsher, and you start expecting her to clutch her chest and raise her other hand as a fist ala Hitler.
Obama was 180 out from Hillary. Everything was phrased as "we", "us", "ours", etc. He was calm, composed, and tried to sound hopeful about everything. The biggest difference I saw was that he was quick to spread the blame around between Dems and Republicans, and to say they all need to change. If I were a Dem I would definately vote for Obama, experience or not.

August 21, 2007 - 11:27 ET by KC MulvilleI've been disappointed in Obama. He criticizes equally, but he's trying to present himself as 'above it all.' To me, he comes off as condescending, like the teenager who can't believe his parents are so stupid.
The good thing about Obama is that he's young. He has a long way to go, and even politicians deserve the right to grow up.

August 21, 2007 - 13:45 ET by motherbeltAnd Obama's mostly full of useless platitudes...a new kind of politics, starting a conversation, bringing people together, you can just hear "Kumbaya" playing in the background. Then when he does speak in concrete terms, he attempts to translate that into foreign policy and ends up with his foot in his mouth.

Hillary's negatives
How does one compare the leadership qualities of M Thatcher to Hillary?
How will moving to the center and relying on 3 decades of experience benefit the lower class ie castigating the top levels of society? When has it ever elevated the poor? Is she aware of the tens of millions who have risen out of poverty in countries such as China within the past generation?
The French sat by on their lazy asses and attempted to negotiate with Germany before WWI even though France was far more powerful. The most powerful woman in the world wants to negotiate with Iran while they, like Germany, construct nuclear forces beyond control. And she called Iraq a failure in today's WT.

Incentive
August 21, 2007 - 12:28 ET by KC MulvilleLeadership usually comes down to one thing: incentive. Telling me where you want me to go isn't enough; you have to show me why I want to go there, and why going there with you is better.
Go onto Hillary's website, and check out how she discusses issues. She did this, she did that. She'll pass this, she'll pass that. Not a word on how to get America to address problems ... everything is about how she'll solve problems on our behalf. When Reagan spoke, it was always about how we will address problems together. With Hillary, it's what Hillary will do. (So much for the village.) She's not a leader, because she doesn't want us to follow her. She wants us to authorize her to work on our behalf.
To her core, she's a lawyer. Lawyers don't want cooperation and help from their clients; they only want permission and a fee.

It will be another MSM failure along with Hillary......I expect the MSM to call the Election any day now, Hillary WINS !!
Even if "we" are ready for a Woman President, it ain't her. They can Poll their brains out, but when people are in the voting booth, they won't be able to pull the Hillary lever.....it just won't happen.
Everyone knows we dodged a Bullet with Gore...and with Kerry, the MSM selection will be viewed differently, with more suspicion...if you liked Kerry, you'll love Hillary.

August 21, 2007 - 13:49 ET by motherbeltAnd Clinton is still trying to have it both ways. First she said if Bush doesn't pull the troops out of Iraq now, when she takes office in January of 2009, she will. Now a couple of days ago, she says we may have to keep troops there for a couple more years. Well, that sounds to me like she agrees with Bush leaving them there now.
I haven't heard of anyone in the MSM asking her to reconcile those two views, has anyone else?

August 21, 2007 - 12:05 ET by ahusserYesterday I started a rather lively thread about how it would be crazy for Michael Vick to take a plea as he would never be convicted a la OJ (since the media and others have made this a racial issue rather than a criminal one). Bad timing on my part. Redfaced and eggfaced I concede. In mitigation, however, as of yesterday they were convening a new federal grand jury inquiry, probably from facts garnered from further investigation and from the other convicted conspirators and I have since learned that Virginia was going to also charge Vick with various and sundry offenses. The pressure was on at it got to him. A lengthy trial would have been a disaster for him. The plea agreement may allow him to play in the NFL sometime after he serves his sentence. Personally I believe he is a thug, possibly pychotic and should be banned from the NFL for life.

So it's television and movies' fault, why millions are against illegal immigration?
"The movie industry and TV series such as The Untouchables, The Godfather, Scarface, Miami Vice, and The Sopranos have long fed the popular image of violent prone immigrants committing wreaking havoc in cities. And there are the endless tales of crime cartels like the mafia, Cuban marielitos, Colombian cocaine cartels, Japanese yakuza and Chinese triads that also spread terror."

August 22, 2007 - 02:11 ET by UnsaneThat's NOTHING. A commentary I saw on CBS Snooze Sunday Morning back in 1996 talked of a spurt in science-fiction shows being made for television, and proclaimed the reason for this spurt (as many dealt with fighting aliens and so on) was because of America's intolerance for immigrants. I may have seen a grand total of 15 minutes of that program since then. (Why my parents insist on getting their news from the networks boggles my mind...)

Banned from Huffington Post par dux
August 21, 2007 - 21:52 ET by Lame CherryAfter being invited to Huffington Post by the editors to join in the festive "be selected as a feature HuffPo blogger", I see that tonight my rights have been violated as Arianna Huffington has banned me from blogging.
Now I never used one four letter word, based all my refutations on facts like it was not Bob Murray of Utah who is responsible for the dead Utah miners but Arianna Huffington, the bloggers and Bill Clinton who have the blood on their hands (for the Iraq war dead too), because the coastal peoples built natural gas power plants instead of burning coal and Bill took that huge coal reserve out of Utah and left his Indonesian buddies in charge of world coal supply.
Yes I pointed out Robert Shearer was obsessed about New Orleans and termed him moronic (ignorant) for his post today questioning the successes in Iraq and told John Ridley he was a racist who did not understand Jimi Hendrix music was not black but acid based.
Then there was Lee Woodruff who was saying sexual perverts should be treated with Penthouse magazines exposing the ABC anchor's wife as suffering from a range of martyr psychopathies to Lane Hudson filing FCC papers on Fred Thompson being told what a coward he is in hurting people who never did anything to him.
All of that without one F word, one vulgar profanity, not one racist comment, not one personal attack on Arianna's looks, Bill Maher looking like a chimp and not one Nazi type people are subhuman attacks which fill Huffington to the brim.
I deem my banning on Huffington a mark of honor in Truth. Everyone should invest as I did and see if they can in 2 weeks beat the ban issued me.
Of course maybe it was Kupchak being told his Rockefeller boss was laundering dope money out of Cuba and Saddam's billions while he sits in Georgetown as a "fellow" got the big guns booming, but I recommend it as there is nothing so satisfying as being banned from blog sites when all you have done is spoken the Truth.
I got knocked from Jihad Watch too as the powers in charge did not like my asking months before any one else, "OK you get out of Iraq and it causes a nuclear war........then the blood is on your hands, are you going to apologize then?"
Dust off my shoes and it is always so interesting seeing the people who demand freedom of speech are always the first ones being dictators.
Hillary nuking Muslims and Obama invading Pakistan.....such lovely things that liberals do not want to be reminded of.
God bless America.
