Video: Media Criticism of Obama a Mere 'Marital Squabble' NB's Gainor Tells Stuart Varney

NewsBusters contributing editor Dan Gainor appeared on Fox Business's Varney & Co. on June 7, to discuss the New York Times speaking out against Obama. Gainor argued that, although The New York Times had criticized Obama, they were not siding against him just yet.

"I think you could kind of call this a marital squabble," the Media Research Center's Vice President for Business and Culture said. "I mean, if you look at what they wrote, they were careful not to say that Obama broke any laws, but they criticized him for using his utmost power and abusing it. They're even citing Constitutional references, which makes them sound very Tea Party-ish, but they're not going whole hog and bashing the president. I think what's going on here is outlandish and disturbing, and I think if conservatives did it they would have been a lot stronger."
