This subject is about as inane to discuss as Obama's flag pins.  With all the differences in policies in this election, why can't the MSM discuss something that actually matters?

The version of Palin’s speech the MSM needed to hear so they couldn’t misconstrue it:

The jet sat there in limbo for a long time with no buyers so the broker lowered the price and re-listed it. Again, no one was interested in buying the jet so the broker ended up selling the jet for $300,000 less than its actual value. But I got rid of it"

MSM reaction to this version: “Palin gave an overly long and boring speech tonight. Proof that’s she’s not qualified to be Vice President.”

She said she PUT it on EBAY. She never claimed to SELL it on Ebay. The advertising it got on Ebay ended up selling the plane.

A broker is going to price out an aircraft with, probably, Aircraft Bluebook, use the retail ask price and negotiate anything less.  Aircraft sell all the time at less than retail.

Pricing out an aircraft is a pretty exacting thing...engine times, airframe times, how it's equipped (all the avionics working properly?), any damage history,  general condition (paint, glass, interior).  Also, where it's been based (salty environment?), how and where it has been maintained all come into play with regard to that final selling price.

Compairing apples to apples is not real easy because they all spec out so differently and have different history.  So, just saying one sold for $300 grand more or less than another isn't a valid thing....to me.

Buying and selling planes is a tuff market to know.  Better do your homework or you'll have your financial hat handed to you...first time out.

Brilliant! Hahaha. That's exactly what they would have wanted to hear... Once again, we have to do all their research for them.

The one that gets me is Obama constantly claiming that he [ever-so-wisely] did not support going to war against Iraq when everybody else did – except that he was not an elected national official at the time.  (My pet rock did not support going to war against Iraq either.)

Has any “Mainstream Media” type ever debunked that curve ball?

BTW, is there any doubt which claim “airplane” or “war support” is more significantly misleading?

Watching the MSM tilt ever farther into delirious editorializing on its front pages, give press passes to Code Pink screechers at the RNC, and generally comport themselves as agitprop morons, it's a wonder that the American people constantly make the correct choice on presidential issues.

The Tribune isn't a newspaper anymore.   They dropped all investigations on Rezko worthy of the name because Obama is implicated in getting slush.

To quibble about a plane & eBay demonstrates the double-digit moral IQ of the average pressie.

No wonder dead tree media are extincting faster than the dinosaurs they resemble.
