Obama's Campaign Books Sharpton For CNN

We know from the mainstream media that Barack Obama can walk on water, but I now realize that he's quite the multitasker as well.

"Is Senator Obama’s Campaign Booking CNN?" asks Greta Van Susteren on her "On the Record" Web site.  Looks like it.  According to Greta:

I debated whether to tell you this or not…but I did promise behind the scenes information here on GretaWire….so here it is…yesterday at 9:00am I personally booked Reverend Sharpton to appear ON THE RECORD at 10pm eastern to discuss Don Imus. At 8:12pm, less than 2 hours before we were to begin our 10pm news show, I received a call in my office from Reverend Sharpton…he said that Senator Obama’s campaign had called and asked him to appear on CNN at the same time he was due to appear on ON THE RECORD and thus could not make our show at the top. I told him that our first segment was the one he had been booked for almost 12 hours earlier and which we had discussed …he said Senator Obama’s campaign called and wanted him on CNN and that he was sorry.

So…here is my question: is Senator Obama’s campaign booking CNN now?

What's next?  Will the Obama campaign start writing copy for CNN's newsreaders?  Perhaps Barry can give an instaff training session on working a teleprompter.  He's got that down pat.

And now we should ask:  Exactly how close is Obama to Rev. Sharpton?  Maybe Al is the candidate's new spiritual advisor.  Not that the Chicago messiah needs one.

Meanwhile Sen. McCain

will be appearing on the 700 Club (that's the minimum age to be a guest).

I don't know, j. frank

To this boomer, McC doesn't look all that old.

BTW, how are the Cavaliers?

@Michael M. Bates:

I know what you mean.  For the past year or so I've been listening to a local soul (ok, urban old school/today's r&b) station what lists celebrity birthdays, etc. in the morning.  I did not know that so many music stars (Motown, Stax/Volt, Philly sound, etc.) from our high school daze were just 5 to 10 years older than we were!

As for the Cavaliers, we'll know more after tomorrow's draft [ps: I do understand your question - just couldn't resist]

High school daze

I did not know that so many music stars (Motown, Stax/Volt, Philly sound, etc.) from our high school daze were just 5 to 10 years older than we were!

Not to mention dead.  :)

Welcome back Joe

Lordy me, former "Ambassador" and former and current troll, J. Wilson is back! When did you get out?

Obama booking CNN is bad enough

but booking Sharpton to talk about Imus? Wow. The Obama campaign sure is petty and into gossip and the gotcha game.

The Obama campaign wants Imus fired for an off the Cuff remark but doesn't think anything of long sermons from Rev Wright or Father Pfleger who's political hate and racist speech is against the law when it happens in a church. It's ridiculous.

Free speech is very much in danger with Obama

In danger

Free speech is very much in danger with Obama

But not government funding for selected churches.  Barry sent no less than $225,000 to Father Pfleger's church when he was a state legislator.  Not bad.  For Pfleger.

I didn't know that Michael.

I knew he gave lots of money to Wright's church but not Pleger's. That is even more obviously a political donation because he's never been Catholic. It's unbelievable how dishonest these people are.

Unbelievable

It's unbelievable how dishonest these people are.

Yes, it is.  It's also unbelievable that a majority of us put up with all the shysters.  Unbelievably sad, too.

And it's worse . . .

He has earmarked some $100-200K for Fleger in the recent Senate bill.

When Obama had his news

When Obama had his news conference today he was only on CNN that I noticed..of course I didn't jump out of my seat to check but once if the other networks had him on also...they didn't...I checked one more time..they still didn't...it makes one wonder...I know msnbc and Fox may have carried it earlier...I don't know for sure...but it looks like he is going with CNN all the way now.

Sharpton is being investigated by the IRS, big deal really, zilch happened to Jackson, not is the Trinity Church shut down or anything from the so-called IRS investigation, plus Sharpton has his own lying issues like Brawley, but heck, no big deal..he is a race-baiting shake down artist and this is who Obama wants him to help....says a lot about him.

The Rev

In a 2000 legal deposition, Sharpton declared that he doesn't even own a suit. He only had "access" to a dozen or so. He said he had no money in the bank or in stocks or bonds or any other possessions other than a wristwatch and a wedding ring. Al must use the same accountant as O. J. Simpson.

Al must use the same

Al must use the same accountant as O. J. Simpson.

Michael...LMAO...now that was rich!

Gracias, as they say in Chicago.

Al's personal tailor, Omar The Tentmaker

Had access to a dozen or so suits?

I'm not buying it - they're can't be more than a handful of size 58 waist-28 length pants in all of NYC.

Hey, when Jim Jones says

Hey, when Jim Jones says jump, you jump!  Especially if you're a guest on Fox News.  I mean heck, you committ to Fox News and just blow it off at the last second?  It's just the evil right wing Fox News.

And who do you break your committment in favor or?  The guy who broke his committment on accepting public financing for his presidential campaign.

I guess the Obama campaign would have no problem asking people to break their committments, using the full power of his platform to sway people in that way.  No need to respect the committments of self, much less others.

Shocking!

Al Sharpton failing to do the honorable thing?  Shocking!

Anytime he wants to pass up exposure on a high rated network for CNN, I say let him.

When you put the clowns in charge, don't be surprised when a circus breaks out.

I hope Greta learned her

I hope Greta learned her lesson.

Why would anyone give a crap what the Rev has to say, unless it's simply for the notoriety of having him on for controversy's sake. Are her ratings that bad that having this racist blowhard on is going to help? We all know exactly what he's gonna say - the same tune he's been playing for twenty years.

Sharpton is an irrelevant, one-note harmonica that is badly in need of a cleaning, that's it.

SoL... Bill O' has him on

SoL...

Bill O' has him on as a guest quite often and for the life of me I don't understand why. His ratings are fine. So what's the attraction?

No Obama...you can't have it!

Here is a great parody of "You can't have Alex"

I cracked up laughing today when I saw this...

Hope you all enjoy!

Take that Moveon.

You can't have Alex

Loved it.  Hope the Obamaniacs don't get the guy's name or he may be one of the first sent off to a re-education camp.
