Airing tonight on Soapnet is a new reality show called “The Fashionista Diaries.” The show documents six newcomers to the cutthroat fashion industry and, like most reality shows out there, would be hard to distinguish if not for its advertisements, which use Communist imagery and slogans for promotion. (side-by-side comparison shown at right)
The main graphic for the ads has a woman dressed up like Che Guevara wearing a beret and sunglasses complete with a Communist red star. The slogan placed with the picture is "the revolution will be accessorized."
“The Fashionista Dairies” have been plastering their logo all over the internet. TV Guide.com is using the ad campaign as today’s background as well as Perez Hilton.com, whose site gets over 8 million hits a day. This new show is one more example of the entertainment industry’s fascination with Communism chic.

August 1, 2007 - 17:43 ET by drillanwrOkay, I'm creeping out on a limb here, but in line with Prof. Adam's article (and you need to read it to understand where I'm about to come from) anybody else recall the "Brady Bunch" episode where Bobby Brady thought of Jesse James as a hero and a good guy, much to Mom and Dad Brady's dismay (since they knew the truth about J.J.'s notorious history)? They just couldn't understand WHY little Bobby idolized this heartless thief and killer ... Until, late one night, Dad Brady (who was familiar with having seen the movie in the past) stayed up late to watch the movie Bobby had seen again ... Only to find the "violent" parts had been edited out, making Jesse appear kind and heroic in scenes that had obviously originally depicted him as just the opposite ... Mom and Dad's conclusion: The editing of the violence in the movie was done without thought of how it would completely warp and/or change the truth. Then it was time to give poor little Bobby a reality check.

I loved his idea for the "men's resource center" on campus. He is always dead on target and hilarious. I, too, highly recommend him. You don't even need to Google him....he has archives on townhall.com.

I came this close to losing it with him. Fortunately, he was in the UK at the time. I'm more controlled now. I shouldn't be surprised, since he used to be the in-house photographer for our local "progressive news and the arts" rag (wink-wink).
Once he gets back to the states though, we're going to have a little talk.
