Open Thread: Recall Election Day in Wisconsin
After playing up the contest as important and of national portent, many liberals in and out of the press are now trying to say it doesn't matter. Still, President Obama has made it a point to make himself scarce in the race, refusing to come to the aid of Tom Barrett, the Democratic mayor of Milwaukee trying to unseat Walker.
Stay with us tonight as we'll have an NB Live chat to keep tabs on the results and monitor the media reaction.

It will also be interesting to see how the O’Media cover the recall and the other races being held today.
My prediction is that if Walker wins the recall: The media will hardly mention it.

If Walker wins, they will be covering the endless court challenges that will begin immediately.
One thing about a recount as opposed to the initial vote. You know EXACTLY how many votes you have to "manufacture" to win.
With Holder at their side, I have every confidence that the libs can overcome any lead under 10%.
You could be right, Bubba.

But I'll stick by mine... Think of it as a game of Vegas Blackjack - I've got 15 in my hand against the dealer showing a 4... just gotta stay.
- Grump :o)
Edited comment (approx 5 p.m. EST):
OK… I may have been wrong… not that I was, mind you, but recent indications of “voters being brought in from Detroit” to vote, and the pig-sticking noises from some WI democrats may turn this into a bigger story than imagined.
I still have my Blackjack hand at 15, but the dealer has just revealed the ‘down-card’ and it’s a 7… dealer has an 11 showing and is about to draw…
Not that I’m retracting anything… just sayin’…

how fraud are you today?
Submitted by neutron on Tue, 06/05/2012 - 11:25am.
I'm concerned that Dems, lacking scruples with no moral compass, will take the Libtard "think tank" letter of neighbors who didn't vote in the last two elections and go vote for them.
Without voter ID, all one needs to commit vote fraud is to tell the pollster the name and address of the person that you will vote for, and viola, you have their ballot!
How would anyone know the fraud took place? If the voter went to vote and found that somebody had already voted for them?
I expect to see at least 100% Dem voter turnout, even if the number of humans does not match the vote count. (Vote early and vote often!)
Once, when I lived in St Louis, we had almost 110% of the registered voters cast ballots, and nothing was said in the liberal press. Thank God for the conservative / alternative media!

Drone Boy doesn't have the rocks to get in a fight that's not fixed, but just watch how fast he gets on TV taking credit for the Wisconsin victory IF Barrett wins it.
BTW, Eric The Red Holder has dispatched his 'fixers" to Wisconsin to ensure that every liberal who wants to vote can vote as often as possible.
People keep calling Drone Boy a Socialist (see attached article from Drudge).
Wrong. He is a Fascist, and will remain one as long as the big money on Wall Street and heavy industry will support him.
I'm sure that...

Vote Early, Vote....
Submitted by Clyde Gatton on Tue, 06/05/2012 - 10:38am.
My wife and I hit the polls at 7:30, and they were already doing a brisk business, as in much more participation than normal. The nursing home workers were busy ferrying their charges to the polls and "helping" them vote, the teachers were in full "instructor" mode, the students were lacking, and the farmers were coming in early.
I live in a small city in northern Wisconsin, and really don't have a good feel for this election. Normally the teachers' union and healthcare workers dominate the political scene, and the early morning turnout reflects what has been seen around town for the previous several weeks. In this case, however, they don't seem to match...poll attendance seems much higher than sign presence. The signs mirror polling, and seem to predict a win for Walker, but I am uneasy. Polling usually samples those who voted previously or sometimes more narrowly in the last election, but turnout seems to negate that assumption. With so many 'not usual voters' casting ballots, the polls could be wildly wrong, in either direction.
I hope they are. Let them be wildly wrong in the direction I favor. This election, I'm afraid, is all about 'me.'

The 2010 election was like that here in Chad City (Broward County).....and the poll worker told me that the "voters were angry".....and we know what happened.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the votes of the "assisted" students & elderly can be overcome.
To me, one of the indicators is that The Won didn't show up, he thinks Wisconsin is lost.....hence the distance. Hoping!

So the AG is monitoring this election? It's like the foxes guarding the henhouse.
If there is voter fraud detected it will be totally against Walker. Holder is stonewalling Congress on "Fast and Furious" and is selective based on race on whether a case is prosecuted or not. He also seems to ready to engage in street brawls in the White House.
Cite him for contempt and throw the Marxist out.

I voted around 8AM and couldn't help but notice that there were 4 observers (luckily none of them were black panthers - they were grey panthers) and it was creepy. I also received my notice of having voted and the list of my neighbors who voted - that was creepy too. The only tidbit I picked up was that there had been a quadrupling of absentee ballots received.
Our "October surprise" last weekend were reports that Walker had sired an out of wedlock child 24 years ago. At least they pulled the Walker hates women ads.

I had some suspicions as well, especially about Valerie Jarrett, but as a wise man once said...
DAAAAAMMMMMNNNNNNN.............
I'm particularly worried about the drone thing, especially in light of the recent revelation of the EPA using them to spy on cattle ranchers in Nebraska AND Iowa(which I found out today). How long before they use the armed ones on them and go after farmers like dictators did in the past to control the population through food, as in lack of?
What the WHI guy said about the drones, saying it's like porn, that's a scary mindset and one that's very unpresidential of the office of the POTUS. And it's been said many times that his use of them are causing more harm than good.
Troubling, very troubling, and more people need to know this and do something.

Interestingly... the first thing that caught my eye:
"... Obama’s strained relationship with Democrats in Congress and the U.S. military... "
The reason this caught my eye is because when Obama came to Fort Stewart last month, he had a VERY cold reception from all the Soldiers FORCED to attend, and the spouses as well. There is one thing I have never been fond of, and that is Soldiers being forced to attend a political rally, when we are told that we are to appear apolitical in society. That entire "speech" was nothing more then a photo opportunity for Obama to be seen with the Third Infantry Division.
Thankfully, I was not able to attend because I would have absolutely refused, and taken an Article 15 if they attempted to force me - since I know they cannot force UCMJ for refusing.

Interesting and scary. Obamas social , political, and economic polices are scary enough. If this article has any legs than his personal peccadilos exceed those by a mile. A book that puts the spotlight on him and his dealings with others is "Amateur" Pedantic and out of touch , even with his own party members, says loads about this impostor. He dances to Jarrett's tune and Leo Gerards from this account. Like I said scary.

Walker wins by 54 to 46 percent of the vote. But Democrats are likely to pick up a State Senate seat. Senator Wanggaard is likely to lose to his Democratic opponent Jon Lehman. That would give the Democrats control of the Senate. But since Wisconsin's State Senate won't gather again until next year, it really doesn't matter much - Republicans will likely take it back in general election on November 6.

So, here I am in Southern Georgia today, suffering through torrential downpours of a nice storm. In the midst of it, I call my old man in Wisconsin to make sure he voted (I voted in absentee). Not only did he do so, he informed me that the local nursing home was busing, quite possibly, everyone in the nursing home to vote. Now, this is NOT a bad thing, in the slightest -- however, a lot of those people are also suffering from Alzheimer's and very easily open to suggestion as to who to vote for.
I mean, seriously?
