Open Thread: Obama Loses 40 Percent of Vote in Arkansas, Kentucky
It appears we have a trend, ladies and gentlemen. Significant numbers of Democratic voters in several states have now voted their displeasure against the extreme liberalism of the Obama Administration.
The president faced another embarrassment Tuesday night as over 40 percent of Democratic primary voters in the states of Kentucky and Arkansas voted against Barack Obama. The two states joined West Virginia where 43 percent of Democrats voted in favor of an imprisoned Texas felon over the imperious chief executive:
In Arkansas, John Wolfe — a perennial, long-shot candidate — took 41 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary, with 71 percent of precincts reporting. Obama came in just under 60 percent. The Associated Press did not call the race for Obama until close to midnight.
And in Kentucky, 42 percent of Democrats chose "uncommitted" rather than cast a vote for the incumbent president. Obama took 58 percent, with 99 percent of precincts reporting.
With turnout low, Obama did get more total votes than presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, who won his primary with almost 67 percent of the vote. Obama had more than 118,600 votes to about 117,100 for Romney.
Obama's nomination for a second term by the Democratic Party has never been in danger. But the large number of defections is bad optics for Obama, highlighting widespread discontent with his administration among Democrats who come from conservative states.
Is it possible for a presidential nominee to cut off his own coattails before the general election race has even begun? Obama's record seems to be a huge impediment to his own chances let alone those of other Democrats'.

I'm not sure it's the "extreme liberalism."
It might just be the utter failure of Obama on the jobs and economy issue.
"It's Bush's fault" and "Re-elect me; I'll do better next time" are not exactly winning campaign strategies.

Well, they are in the same category as 'hope and change' and 'yes we can'...................these guys are about as deep as the people who voted for them.
I don't know what to make of the people who didn't vote for Boy Baraka, and it appears to be a lot of them. But if they stay home, or even if some of them vote against Baraka by voting for Romney, it will be a plus for our country. But I think that a lot of them will just trudge on down to the polling places and pull the handle for Boy Baraka again, unfortunatly. I hope I'm wrong.
A couple of things...

#1 this will not be reported by the MSM.
#2 I', not sure if this means those votes will translate to Romney in November, or it just means that 40% of the democrats in KY and AK will choose to stay home.

I think these returns show an unavoidable fact about the coming general election that the Obama Administration and the media have been desperately trying to hide: the real unemployment rate. The administration and the media can spit out bogus unemployment numbers all they like, but while those numbers may look good on a TV screen or newspaper the reality is all those unemployed people who are no longer being counted are still out there. And their families, friends, and former co-workers are out there was well. These folks know how bad the unemployment situation really is and are voting accordingly, and no amount of cooking the books is going to change that.

The vast majority of Kentuckians are registered Democrat, however we are
very conservative in our thinking. We didn't vote for Obama in 2008 and we
have paid for it ever since. We are also blessed with M. McConnell. O will
not win Ky this time either.

What strikes me is that he is one of the few conservative in Hollywood and not a typical liberal hack.

All this proves is that 60% of the democrats in those states still have their heads up and locked.
I will be afraid for this country until Obama is voted out of office by a vast majority of the voters.
I'm still ashamed that a majority was stupid enough to buy his bull shiite the first time around. It shows how easily the next slick talking grifter who comes along can hijack the Republic.
Warning: Graphic. The left achieves yet another new low.

Breitbart has a great article on how when an actual candidate Pat Buchanan garnered 37% in New Hampshire it was huge news of how week Bush was. Obama 's comp from an inmate 42% is no big deal. Amazing

I'm more than happy to give up Marco or Allen West. I'd prefer Allen, but I'm sure he's "too controversial" for Mitt Romney. But Marco would be fabulous, too.
The media is dancing as fast as it can to cover for The Once.....but he is going to go down in flames on election day. They can cover it up, or try to, but Michele Bachmann's campaign slogan is going to be our reality (Thank God!). One. Term. President.
Cheers!

so you can stay in alliance with the current administration or you stand to lose everything. How many times has that been the case in 3.5 short years? But here it is again:

Read between the lines and remember what happen to Lehman Brothers. The government is going to investigate Morgan Stanley (MS) because Chase and Goldman Sachs (GS) are not as much to blame even though they agreed with MS and financed the IPO as well. They also happen to be closely involved with the current administration in policy, $$$ and providing staffing for the WH.
The only thing that looks even a little fishy, considering most 'professional' advisors said that $38 was too high for opening, is the fact that MS did not uniformly notify all of their customers. There are many possible reasons for this but it is a far cry from a federal investigation.

Finally - something to top Obama's winning of the Nobel Prize for Peace:

Al Jazeera wins prize for its efforts towards freedom of speech. I guess that is more accurate than giving them a prize for honesty and journalist integrity.
Just when you thought.....

They sure do seem to love coming up with creative and new ways of making the peace prize lose its value more than before. Nobel would be turning over in his grave.

WCCO sounds the alarm: Tea Party Consoovatives!
Submitted by CobraMan on Wed, 05/23/2012 - 8:44pm.
I was watching our local CBS affiliate, WCCO, and during thew local new they mention the protest at the Capital over AARP, with seniors cutting up their membership cards because AARP has "officially" opposed the Voter ID law that's being debated here. The seniors are angry that, despite a new poll showing that 75 percent of the State approves the Voter ID law, the AARP, in defiance of "a super majority of their members," decided to oppose this law, without even asking their members if they should or not.
The segment was complete with "stats" claiming that 15,000 Seniors here in Minnesota don't have a valid, current ID, but no explanation as to how they determined that, and the "possibility" that 5 MILLION seniors may not be able to vote if this law passes. Once again, no mention as to how that figure was determined, especially when there isn't nearly that many seniors in the entire state. It was just tossed out as if it was a undeniable fact.
Now, as bad as that was, here's the blatantly biased part: Pat Kessler, after mentioning that the protesters have their own website, felt it was necessary to "warn" ("Now, we must warn you." Those where his exact words) people that the site in question "contains some links to Tea Party Consoovatives (that's just how he pronounced it: consoovatives). I know he meant tea Party Conservatives, but WHY did he feel the need to mention them? Can you say" biased reporting?' I know WCCO can't, even though they practice it quite often.

But just remember, Greg - Boy Baraka's entire existence here on this planet (and I'm still not sure if he's from here!!!) has been a total lie, a complete falsehood, and a scam of lifelong proportions.................so, in his own jaded and depraved mind, what he thinks and what he says ARE the 'truth'..............so it's not a stretch to hear him make statements like this and others - he believes what he says.
