Liberal Propaganda for $300: 'Jeopardy' Sells Out to Democrats
Does Alex Trebek owe Republicans equal time on his Jeopardy! game show? Answer: Yes, the show has become overrun by Democratic politicians and is only going to get even more politically imbalanced in the days to come.
Last week and this week, the popular game show, in which contestants are given clues and must provide the answer in the form of a question, has been presenting its annual "Teen Tournament" shows with young Americans as contestants -- and First Lady Michelle Obama presenting some of the clues. The show is being broadcast from Washington DC during the Teen Tournament.

On Monday last week, the show had an entire category of questions, entitled "American Grown" and focusing on healthy eating, with Michelle Obama giving the clues via pre-recorded video. Some of the clues were about legislation her husband had signed into law. Show producers also gave the First Lady time between rounds to promote her book.
Wednesday, the show featured pre-recorded clues by Vice President Joe Biden in the category "Cars in American History," which included a question about the car company bailouts. Between rounds, the show presented a video of Biden promoting President Obama's policy to raise the fuel efficiency standards for new cars to an average of 54 miles per gallon.
Will the show's producers give a prominent Republican or two equal time? Could we see Mitt Romney presenting clues via video on a future show, for the category, "The Economy," with clues related to Obama's failed economic record?
All joking aside, the producers of the show should clarify how they allowed Jeopardy to be used to spread the administration's propaganda. If the show's producers are intentionally making the show a mouthpiece for the Obama administration, they owe it to viewers to be up-front about it. And if they aren't trying to take sides in the campaign, they really ought to invite some prominent Republicans to participate in the show as they already invited the First Lady and the Vice President.
Sure, one can argue that Michelle Obama was primary talking about eating healthy but during an election year, such non-political messages delivered by the very political wife of the president deserve to be counterbalanced by allowing Ann Romney to do the same. To do otherwise is to give a free pass to Barack Obama's reelection campaign.
To make matters worse, the show announced recently that it will be featuring several political personalities as competitors in the next few weeks. Unfortunately for political fairness, the contestants will be overwhelmingly liberal with only one person from the right side of the political spectrum, former Bush Administration spokesman Dana Perino.

Let's see if any of these liberals can do a better job than this pathetic performance by Wolf Blitzer.
Remember this when he's "correcting" conservatives on things they are "wrong" about.

about conservativism or conservatives whenever he could justify it because of the questions or response.
I stopped watching that because he used liberal talking points and lies (BRM) thus tainting the facts with his slant to a national audience.
To me it would be like when Cronkite spewed his crap on national tv and single-handedly changed the minds of thousands about Vietnam.
He abused his position of public trust for partisan purposes and should never be rewarded or trusted again.
Liberals have tainted everything they've been associated with. They can't help themselves or else inclination towards liberalism is an indicator that they have a deep personality flaw that allows them to lie in support of their unfounded ideals.
They have no shame but are engorged with righteousness.
They are generally despicable people with no morals, ethics or conscience.

It's been a dumbed down Jeopardy! for years now
Submitted by Mary Louise Turner on Thu, 05/10/2012 - 5:01pm.
Do any of you NewsBusters fans out there remember the original "Jeopardy!" with the late Art Fleming back on NBC in the 1960's (and briefly in the late '70s?) The original show demanded a lot of intelligence as well as quick buzzer ringing. Nowadays, the beloved series is a mere shadow of itself. In spite of amazing technical wizardry, the answers are getting dumber and are more oriented towards pop culture rather than general knowledge. It's no surprise, then, that it's getting more liberal too...
Re Jeopardy!
Submitted by Jer on Thu, 05/10/2012 - 6:29pm.
--Yep, from the very beginning
--Still demands intelligence and quick buzzer reflex; you're right about more pop culture and some marginally easier categories and answers, but
--The show remains superior to the vast majority of garbage currently available on TV.

I saw some sight recently and they had Trebek listed as a Republican?????
I watch Jeopardy and have since I was real young and Biden looked like a prompter reading idiot and Moooochelle was as phony as usual.
I will still watch and root for my girl Dana.
My deceased Dad and Mom watch from heaven, so I kind of need to.....
Anyone catch Fox and friends when Gretchen got choked up when that Vet came home and saw his boy with CP walk for the first time?

Slanted categories
Submitted by wingnut55 on Thu, 05/10/2012 - 6:03pm.
I've noticed in the past few years they have slanted the categories for certain people. When it get too obvious then good ole Alex will say something like these categories are the luck of the draw. That was a good one for you. Once when they had an openly gay contestant, Alex accepted two answers (questions) that he would not have with other contestants. He tried to help that guy as much as he could, but the guy just didn't have the smarts to continue.
Can't remember

Let it be. It'll be fun to watch these liberals lose horribly, unless of course the 'answers' get dumbed down...the last two liberal journolists on 'Jeopardy' looked like fools, Wolf Blitzer actually got 'sympathy money' he was down so low.
I understand Blitzer even missed
