From personal experience as an editor in a newsroom, I can tell you there is enormous peer pressure to lean left. It is de rigeur. If you make even a peep the other way you are forever branded a "right-wing kook". If you breathe a word of support for Bush they conclude you're a bible-thumping nut, a racist, a fascist, and probably a child molester. So you simply keep your mouth shut. Why? Because you have to work with these people the next day. And, you won't change their minds. It's their religion.

The MSM newsroom I worked in had about 20 on staff. I knew of only three (including myself) who were centrists and of course we simply didn't talk about it. The rest of the folks would crow over the latest revelation about Cheney or the Iraq war and say things like "Oh yeah! We've got the bastards now!" And I mean right out loud. There would then be chortling and the sound of keyboards furiously being worked to hurry up and get "the truth" out. And all the other usual lefty diatribes-- endless (and boring) "Bush is a moron" remarks and jokes. Trading funny web sites in email and on IM that always attacked the right (never, and I mean not ever, the left- they are absolutely humorless about that).

Some were openly pro-socialist and all openly espoused mixtures of views that were anti-U.S., anti-globalization, anti-middle America, anti-gun, anti-Republican (of course!), anti-consumer, anti-religion, and strangely (I thought at the time anyway) even anti-science. And of course pro-anything at all that smacked of "alternative", no matter how ridiculous.

Btw, these were all childless white college-educated well-paid people 25-35 years old. Plenty of money and few responsibilities. But their attitudes were those of spoiled children. They openly resented the material wealth and freedom that they had handed to them, their good jobs, and the world in general. Unhappy people, really.

 Anyway, I've moved on from that career, but at least from my experiences, reports of liberal bias in newsrooms underestimates the depth and fervor. It is rife. All the public sees is the thinly-disguised end product and they imagine a cadre of "professional" "journalists" on the other end. 

This is a good place to take up the media fix as it leaves a greater share of Truth to sound loudly than the din of the entire media.

My problem is not the MSM as they are always Marxist shills. My problem is with O'Reilly cuddling up to Obama and not one thing coming out of Rush Limbaugh making any sense.
By this I mean, Rush was fuming on Monday about the way the Democrats are screwing over the economy.

wife, Elizabeth. Someone made certain that information was fed to the
National Enquirer and as the Enquirer was at that point investigating

It is evident who was orchestrating the Enquirer in a quid pro quo.

9 11 dead were given a real opportunity to see the up close and
personal side of Barack Obama when he went there and threw a rose at
the memorial.

Michelle, was not at the memorial, because she was busy taking care of
their two daughters.
