Diane (I can't stand to listen to her) Sawyer jumped on the 'cannot maintain current levels' and pressed Powell on why he didn't force McCain to 'admit that to Amercia' but didn't even touch the other side of what Powell said about not being able to pull out immediately. If she even pretended to be anything but a screaming liberal, she would have asked Powell why he didn't 'force' Hellary and Obama-lama-ding-dong to admit that they couldn't pull troops out immediately like they have been saying.

I try to be civil just like I do on this site. I was questioning the fairness doctrine, said I was on the fence on abortion and thought it was ridiculous to force candy away from schools.
I was taken aback by how many people called me a libertarian loser and how many 4 letter words I was called. Anyway I got banned!
You guys were right all along about hard core liberals. I would post the link that lead to my banning, but I think that might be against the rules on NB, so I don't want to get banned twice in one day:-)
Thank you Matt and Noel for allowing debate, even though you might not agree with my opinion, you always are willing to listen to my POV. I did not know how good I had it here lol

Around there, the word "libertarian" is on its way to becoming a similar simpleminded slur against the thoughtful left, as we see from Shawn's words. This whole incident, even though it happened "over there," speaks volumes about what I've been saying for years about the antilibertarian nature of media bias "around here."

Holding onto an oposing position, when dealing with extremists, can lead to banishment (in the case of DU), or death/imprisonment (in the case of political/religious/gang groups).
The looney left has always been afraid of facts and logic. I wouldn't always call Shawn's arguments full of facts or logic, but when presented against DU, apparently his presentation was very threatening to them. Way-to-go, Shawn!

He may not be a libertarian like me, but these people know very well what ideas are dangerous to hyperspenders just as well as the Republican hyperspenders around here know. Shawn's own words make it clear to me that this is all about the bipartisan fight against anyone expressing any sort of even-vaguely libertarian ideas, which is why I said it speaks volumes. Plus I'm still in a good mood from the green paper I won last night. :)
