We have now officially passed a milestone: fifty episodes of "NewsBusted." Thanks to everyone for watching, spreading the word, and helping us take the truth about media bias to a larger audience!
Topics in today's episode: Thirteen percent of Americans incorrectly think Barack Obama is a Muslim, should harming the environment be a sin? A study claims 1-in-4 teenage girls has an STD, and new TV shows from the AARP?
Like the show? Help us out by adding "NewsBusted" as a friend on Myspace, subscribing to our YouTube channel, or sending us a one-liner of your own (netting $50 in the process if we use it).
Thanks again for watching! I will have some news about our future efforts in the next few weeks...

Ok, I'm going to *try* to be positive...
March 21, 2008 - 08:16 ET by sarcasmoBut that first 'joke' really sucked. There's just no saving "Hillary's not a woman." It's dull & unfunny compared to something like "Bill's not still cheating with interns if he gets 1/2 a chance" or any number of other easy conservative standards. If you sent out a $50 check for that one please call your bank & stop payment, for the sake of all comedy. ;) And try to start-off with better material.
I'd suggest a format with more "fair use" of some of the goofs & foibles we see on network & cable news shows every day, accompanied by rolling-eyes and commentary. You could even do "fair use" of Colbert or Stewart and make fun of both of them making fun of conservatives.

Also: CBS is a geriatric
March 21, 2008 - 09:07 ET by JasonCAlso: CBS is a geriatric station? Wow, haven't heard that before. "Careful with that joke, it's an antique!"
Yeah Jason - not fresh and original like the Dubya stuff
March 21, 2008 - 10:07 ET by Dee BunkGive me a break. Liberals laugh at the same stupid stuff over and over. There is only one requirement for funny political humor for them - attack GW's intelligence.
Give me a break. Liberals

The same goes for the "Cheney is evil" jokes. Liberals could listen to them all day long without any negative comments.
Dick Cheney, a verb, and Halliburton
March 21, 2008 - 13:05 ET by Free StinkerI think someone here rcently remarked that half what passes for Liberal humor these days is a joke consisting of "Dick Cheney", a verb, and "Halliburton"
Pledge to not support RINOs ever again!
Wow Dee, that's, like, so
March 21, 2008 - 10:23 ET by JasonCWow Dee, that's, like, so comparable. The only thing more predictable than liberals laughing at a joke about the president is conservatives collapsing into histronics about it. And then telling a Clinton joke for the umpteenth time.
It doesn't change the fact that jokes about CBS appealing to septua- and octogenarians, getting their fix of 60 Minutes and all that, is extraordinarily shopworn. I mean, at least add a twist to it, instead of saying "Old people like CBS! Yup, that's the joke, cue the canned laughter."
Hey, you know who likes the Disney Channel.....[dramatic pause, imaginary drumroll].....children! And Lifetime?....women!
Wow like what you talkin 'bout dude!
March 21, 2008 - 10:39 ET by Dee BunkI take it you are being sarcastic in your so liberal cool way (I'm being sarcastic if you can't tell). So you don't think it's comparable even though you admit it's tired and predictable. What Ever dude!
I don't see conservatives going on liberal web sites telling them how stupid and old their jokes are. I assume you mean histrionics not histronics, but still, I see conservatives as mostly saying - how lame and stupid and not laughing. They are not going crazy flocking in large numbers to post insults and profanity on liberal comedy clips like the liberals do on Newsbusted. Histrionics is definitely a description of how liberals react to everything.
Yes Dee, histrionics. I
March 21, 2008 - 13:51 ET by JasonCYes Dee, histrionics. I suppose I deserve that for being a spelling/typo-Nazi myself last month.
And don't tell me that's not the case. If I had a nickel for every time a conservative on this site started shrieking about "BDS" (whilst making their jokes about B. Clinton's sexual proclivities or H.R. Clinton's lack of femininity) I'd retire on my coinstar vouchers.
Of course, what this has to do with a dusty joke about CBS and old folks, I still haven't quite figured out.
talking about BDS isn't histrionics Jason - it's calm analysis
March 21, 2008 - 19:20 ET by Dee Bunkhistrionics is when liberals swear and call people racists, homophobes warmongers, and religious zealots just because they have different ideas on how best to have world peace, help the poor and protect children.
My original point was that Liberals are the biggest offenders of using old and moldy jokes. Whether it's Bush jokes, Regan jokes, Christian jokes or their racist Aunt Jemimah jokes, they've all been used over and over again.
You mean Reagan?
March 22, 2008 - 11:23 ET by JasonCYou mean Reagan?
Sarc - I think the still pictures vs video is related to budget
March 21, 2008 - 10:11 ET by Dee Bunkissues. If not, I agree that video of idiotic liberal statements would be great.
I don't think an old monitor over Jodi's right shoulder
March 21, 2008 - 10:31 ET by sarcasmoInstead of just photos, would be cost-prohibitive. But then, I'm not the one who's spending $50 on some of those 'jokes'!

You also aren't
March 21, 2008 - 10:32 ET by Matthew Sheffieldwriting any of them, either.
Not exactly being very nice on a milestone day here, sarc. That's not very gracious.
I'd sure hope not.
March 21, 2008 - 10:47 ET by sarcasmoAnyway, congrats on the milestone, but quantity isn't quality no matter how gracious I try to be.

Quantity of hits prove the quality. 50th show is significant
March 21, 2008 - 10:57 ET by Dee Bunkin that if it weren't getting consistently over 25,000 hits there wouldn't be a 50th show. It's more successful that any other original political comedy on youtube so they must be doing something right.
Besides, as I have mentioned
March 21, 2008 - 12:19 ET by NewsbusterbrownBesides, as I have mentioned in the past, NewsBusted was created for conservatives to enjoy. Liberals are not going to like it (at least) 95% of the time and libertarians will hold their nose 50% of the time. That's just the way it is. If both of those groups actually enjoyed Jodi's quips 100% of the time, then she would be doing something wrong.
Congratulations on 50!
March 21, 2008 - 09:46 ET by TaserCatLove Jodi... love the jokes... And I'm always happy to see a newly posted episode pop up when I click on Newsbusters. Keep them coming!
Seconded!

He took a trip back to 20 years ago and returned in just a couple minutes. Must not have been much scenery.

March 21, 2008 - 11:31 ET by LeonHey,
My original, hilariously accurate post was deleted.
Figured I'd tone it down, but the joke had to be made.
Did someone really get paid $50 for the CBS joke?
Apparently all I have to do is copy jokes from the past 20 years of David Letterman shows and I'll be a rich man. Cha-Ching!
LOL funny! I loved the
