It's funny. Any time one of our "NewsBusted" episodes gets popular, it inevitably attracts the attention of liberals who can't stand the idea of anyone making fun of the left. After all, anyone who makes fun of liberals is hate-filled, intolerant and must be stopped at all costs.
Take a look at the comments on our most recent episode of the show if you need a good laugh this weekend. Feel free to sign up for YouTube if you want to twist the knife a little as well.

I just got back from there...
UNBELIEVABLE with what has happened since late yesterday afternoon with the comments...plus that one posters name even being allowed to be posted ...
Anyway anyone with time go over and support our site ect....I just rated some of the comments..I think you may have some fun too if any of you want to comment back to some of these leftist twits.
Yeah I just deleted
January 19, 2008 - 19:06 ET by Matthew Sheffieldthe profane user name you mentioned.
Why would someone want to go by the name c--- licker I have no idea.
Hey Matthew... I hope you
January 19, 2008 - 19:19 ET by bigtimerHey Matthew...
I hope you didn't think I thought it should be deleted, (although it should in some eyes) for me it just shows the class and IQ of the twisted leftists...they make the fools of themselves just by the choice of the user name...let alone their following comments...really it is just pathetic.
They're gonna put me in the movies
January 19, 2008 - 19:09 ET by Lame CherryMr. Sheffield, how dare you bring up the memories of Christmas past in liberals using the internet to hide in and here you have reminded them of what they are.
The comments seemed to me to be some of the most boring liberals on the planet. The real question is where are the liberals going to go when flushed out of YouTube.

New writer
January 19, 2008 - 19:37 ET by bcdennisYou guys need to get a new writer for your comment comebacks. Those are just lame.
I just said the exact opposite below
January 19, 2008 - 19:42 ET by Dee BunkI think they are short and funny. Most of those comments don't deserve anything more than a snappy snide comeback.
Thanks
January 19, 2008 - 19:43 ET by Matthew SheffieldThey aren't giving any thought to the show so they deserve a response in kind.

January 19, 2008 - 20:36 ET by shawn228Dennis said that the comebacks on the part of the face behind Newsbusted is week. He should not have to do better,. He is not the editor or chief or Newsbusted. If I did not like the way a photo was taken in Playboy and complained about it, they would not ask me to take the picture myself, however if they asked me............;-)

January 19, 2008 - 20:40 ET by botgit's an open forum just like here, Dennis is free to comment. Why didn't you let Dennis respond to me instead of jumping in? Because it's an open forum, if you can do it so can a graduate student!

January 19, 2008 - 20:47 ET by shawn228I rarely get in the middle of other peoples comments, I was just curious about why you would ask such a thing.
Speaking or getting in the middle of conversation happens on a daily basis on NB, however in this case the comments were directed at a legitimate Mock Newscast made in jest by Newsbusters, which is a legitimate website. Lets just say the poster was not critisizing the comebacks and was critisizing NB's bandwidth or articles. He does not have the power to change anything, just like he does not have the right to speak on behalf on Newsbuster.

Sorry
January 19, 2008 - 21:32 ET by bcdennisDidn't mean to offend, just didn't find the 'newsbusted' retorts that great.
One commenter says "Okay. I have to say it. Am I the only one who thinks this reeks of
propaganda? It's like they're trying to reach future voters. I'm pretty
sure this wasn't directed toward adults."
newsbusted replies with :
"
That smell is actually just your lack of bathing."
His reply validated the OP's implication that the humor is targetted at kids. What's next, "I know you are, but what am I"?
Just don't find that funny. Sorry :/
Dennis
January 19, 2008 - 21:40 ET by shawn228Dennis, you gave your honest opinion. There is nothing wrong with that. I for one feel I can learn from constructive criticism as opposed to a lecture.

January 19, 2008 - 23:28 ET by Matthew SheffieldYou're more than welcome to help post some as well. We can always use sane people to say positive things about the show to counter the liberal haters.
Matthew - I just tried to comment over there
January 19, 2008 - 19:38 ET by Dee Bunkand when trying to make my 3rd short comment, it said that my comment limit had been exceeded. I haven't made any other comments on youtube in a few days, and I never make very many.
I just have to say that your comments over there cracked me up. Good job!

I ditto that Matthew....just forgot to mention that fact...sorry.
I think YouTube
January 19, 2008 - 23:31 ET by Matthew Sheffieldhas a limit on your comments and your ratings. Were you going through and rating a bunch of comments? If so, that would have made their system make you wait to post a comment.
Matt
January 19, 2008 - 19:38 ET by shawn228Yes I saw some mean comments but with the exception of some being angry about the gay soldiers comment, the overwhelming majority of the more hostile comments said the skit was not funny.

I'll have to be careful next time I'm inside a junior high school :)
Lol Matt.

No doubt Matt :-) Perhaps a few jokes about Vanessa Hudgens next time? Seriously though, I did not see much evidence of liberal intolerance on the comments.

January 19, 2008 - 20:16 ET by shawn228Yes, I did read them. Yes there were some anti conservative replies. This thread seems to imply there was a plethora of liberal intolerance when in fact they were few and far between.

January 19, 2008 - 20:01 ET by shawn228comments like this b*tch s*cks are very common on Youtube liberal or conservative. The comment by bigtex is angry about the jab at the American Military and does not show he/she is a liberal.
Yes there have been a few jabs at conservatives but like I said, there are over 100 replies and the majority of the complaints are not Bush lied people died, Haliburtan, Wiretaps, yada yada. They are mostly this is not funny or this skit sucks.

I should have archived some of the worse ones
January 19, 2008 - 20:05 ET by Matthew SheffieldThere were others that were more of a political nature but I thought were too over-the-top so I deleted them. Should've posted them here.
The "this show sucks" remark and the accompanying mindless one-star rating are more indicative of their desire to bury anything even remotely conservative even if they can't bother describing why it's deficient.
I think bigtex is definitely a liberal and probably not
January 19, 2008 - 20:08 ET by Dee Bunka soldier. As we have seen here, liberals often claim to be in the military when they are not. BT and the boys always trip them up.
matt
January 19, 2008 - 20:12 ET by shawn228I will take your word there were more of a politcal nature. Do you feel the one star ratings reflect liberal bias or their feelings of quality of the humor?

shawn - it's definitely liberal bias
January 19, 2008 - 20:24 ET by Dee BunkMost people who are not political wouldn't even be motivated to rate it. Even most conservatives don't bother to rate it. They are angry because of it's popularity.

January 19, 2008 - 19:49 ET by tracheostomyNever understood that "thumbs up/thumbs down" comment rating system. Now your appeals to common sense can be rated according to mob mentality!

January 20, 2008 - 00:53 ET by balboaI can't say that the comments by "newsbusted" on that thread are any better. "You smell bad"? That's not exactly high level stuff.
As for Hannah Montana, rabid fans! Ya' gotta be careful!
