The second episode of “NewsBusted” has arrived!
Topics covered include: Congressional Democrats, ice cream, Home Depot, Barack Obama's blackness, Sean Penn, Jenna Jameson, Ricky Martin & more!
Watch the video in the NB sidebar and post your comments here. Note: You can subscribe to “NewsBusted” if you click the little takeboard icon. That way, you'll be automatically notified via email any time we post new shows.
Starting next week, “NewsBusted” will be broadcast every Tuesday and Friday. If you like the show, please tell your friends and favorite bloggers about it. We can always use positive comments on YouTube as well since liberals like to think that they own comedy.
Got a (short) joke of your own you'd like us to use? Send it along with your name and phone number to rightstuffcomedy@yahoo.com. If we use it, we'll pay you $50.

I don't know, it's missing
September 14, 2007 - 08:52 ET by AvatarI don't know, it's missing something, I'd find it more entertaining if it were organized like the Onion News videos are.
I guess I just don't really care for quick stand-up routines.

Sorry...
September 14, 2007 - 10:25 ET by RosStill cant say I find it funny. The laugh track is really bad and the guy you have doing the jokes just doesnt do it for me.
Keep at it, it can only get better from this point.

I noticed last night that Newsbusted made it in the 40's of most viewed and #15 in politics.

Obtrusive
September 14, 2007 - 09:57 ET by blueridgerMaybe it is just me, but I find it extremely obtrusive to have this flash glaring at me on each and every page I cycle through studying the articles and comments. Just too old to change perhaps.
Additionally, I don't care for the reduction in the article/comment width since threads of comments become narrower and narrower as the thread depth grows. Eventually making the comment virtually unreadable. I did send a comment off to Mat Sheffield regarding my observations, but have not yet had a reply.

September 14, 2007 - 17:35 ET by bobthemanI have to agree... I'm not a big fan of the narrower page content.. looks way too crowded and not as comfortable to the eye when reading. It's going to take some time to get use to the new format. Is it possible to move the video to a less unobtrusive path rather than in your face kind of thing?

September 14, 2007 - 23:05 ET by stratmanI agree as well. I found it objectionable to have to look at Jeneane Garofalo's mug while reading every article. Bleeech!
Please put a proverbial, or literal, bag over the heads of the idiots spoofed. At the very least, have a NewsBusters logo at the beginning of the videos so that when the web page loads I will see the logo instead of the idiot Liberal.
Killing them with kindness isn't working. Time to get scrappy with the Donkeys.
I just don't see anything.
September 14, 2007 - 10:36 ET by rightsideI just don't see anything. NMCI blocks everything. I'll have to watch it when I get home.
Yes! Have some.

September 14, 2007 - 13:25 ET by Dee BunkJack - just go on youtube and search for Newsbusted when it comes up there is a little thing over on the side that you can click on to subscribe. You have to be logged on. You can also go into their profile and do it that way.
Matthew has some directions on how to do it from here I think, but I was too lazy to read because I'm already subscribed. I'm not sure if subscribing here counts on Youtube.

This place is sure looking fancy these days. For a young guy like me, it's no big deal, I'm used to see a ton of stuff on a webpage.
However, I think it might be hard for the older NB's to get used to.

Comes from a company I used to work for. Our moto with regard to the competition was: "We suck less". Of course that was an inside joke, never made it into our line card. :-)

Where's the biting humor of a Mort Sahl or the wit of a Mark Russell? Sorry I couldn't use examples of conservative comics, but my addled brain can't think of any.
And, btw, I miss Gaggle being locked to the top of the home page. It almost seems as if part of the masthead is missing.

I liked this one
September 14, 2007 - 16:51 ET by SportPoliticsmuch better than the last, and it hit well on the known problems of the opposition.
My only critique is Mark Ellis moves around kind of strangely, he doesn't need to be gyrating like that, or someone needs to show him some other way of moving around if that's "natural" for him.
Other than that the jokes were hitting home, and although I wasn't laughing aloud there weren't any lamers.
