A notorious abortion doctor that specializes in grisly late-term procedures is heading to trial at the same time a politician he contributed to and socialized with is awaiting confirmation as President Obama’s Health and Human Services Secretary. Interesting story? Not to the Associated Press.
AP writer Roxana Hegeman wrote on March 14 about the trial of Dr. George Tiller, which began on March 16. “Tiller is charged with 19 misdemeanors alleging he failed to obtain the required second opinion from an independent physician that a late-term abortion is necessary,” she wrote. “If convicted, the Wichita physician could face a year in the county jail or a fine of $2,500 for each charge.”
Hegeman sketched Tiller’s notoriety, saying “Tiller and his Wichita clinic have been regular targets of anti-abortion demonstrations, including the 45-day "Summer of Mercy" event staged by Operation Rescue in 1991. His clinic was damaged by a pipe bomb in 1986, and in 1993 a protester shot him in both arms.”
But she left out an interesting and timely bit of information. Tiller and his wife donated a $12,450 in campaign contributions to Kathleen Sebelius when “she was running and serving as the state’s insurance commissioner.” Later, as governor of Kansas, Sebelius hosted the couple at a reception in the governor’s mansion. The source for this information? The AP itself.
Sebelius is a pro-abortion Catholic whose bishop has asked not to receive communion. Obama’ HHS nominee is a favorite of the pro-abortion lobby, having struck down several Kansas bills that would place mild restrictions on abortion.

George Tiller is a monster
March 16, 2009 - 14:32 ET by moderncommentaries83This is a soul that embodies evil. What he does to women and babies is beyond comprehension.
But he either won't be convicted, or the conviction will be overturned/pardoned by Obama.
Nothing will stand in the way of "choice."

Here in Kansas we call him "Tiller the Killer"

March 16, 2009 - 16:33 ET by Joe CamelSitting on the line next to Kansas, one has to wonder how this woman was ever elected. Well, unfortunately, seems women flocked to her including many "Republican" women. She has been and was a total embarrasment to Kansas, the whole not building power plants, gun issues, all the things most need or want, she was against.
Then, Tiller, Mr. Murder himself. The local paper, the "Falling Star" as one local talk show host calls it, bashed the AG who went after Tiller, and she also got involved. It is a shame that the Big O sees something in her, but, death proponents see life the same..we we will decide if you live or die.. What a pathic individual.

March 16, 2009 - 20:22 ET by GrannyGrump42Like the fact that his staff killed Christin Gilbert.
http://justiceforchr...
Christin was a Texas teen with Down syndrome. She was 28 weeks pregnant -- well past viability -- and in perfect health when her parents brought her to Tiller's mill for an abortion.
Like he does with all his supposedly gravely ill patients, he kept Christin in a motel room for three days. She was attended by her parents, who took her to Tiller's clinic instead of to a hospital when she collapsed and lost consciousness.
Tiller's staff lied to 911, telling them that the patient was awake and alert when in fact Cristin was in full cardio-respiratory arrest.
She died of spesis at a nearby hospital.
But the self-appointed guardians of women's lives never think to mention her. She's beneath their notice.
Who was abortion legalized to protect, anyway? Surely not girls like Christin Gilbert. She's every bit as dead as the victim of any "back alley butcher".
While the people who killed her hobnob with the governor.

George Tiller the Baby Killer
March 16, 2009 - 21:00 ET by Retired Geek"In 1993, a pregnant teenager and her parents traveled 900 miles to Dr George Tiller's office in Kansas to receive an elective late-term abortion.
Tiller began the abortion by injecting a poisonous syringe through the pregnant teenager's uterus and into the upper left side of the unborn baby's face. He then instructed the teenager to return the next day for the completion of the abortion.
To everyone's dismay, the baby did not die during the intervening hours. After the teenager began to complain of serious abdominal pains, her parents rushed her to a local hospital where the baby was eventually born—alive. The delivery room staff felt that life-support would be futile, so they wrapped the baby in a bassinet without attendance. The teenager and her parents quickly left the scene.
Even without medical care, the baby remained alive. After many hours had passed, the delivery room staff decided to give her treatment. Miraculously, she managed to survive through the entire ordeal. "Sarah", as her adoptive parents later named her, lived until the age of 5, when she succumbed to the developmental harm done to her body during the abortion. The KCl solution that had been injected into the side of her face had left her permanently blind and brain damaged.
Prior to the abortion, Sarah was a perfectly normal baby. The relevant medical records indicate that she had no disabilities or deformities. If Tiller hadn't attempted to poison her, she would be a healthy 9 year old girl with an entire life ahead of her. Instead, she is in a grave."

Tiller is a Serial Killer and a friend of Kathleen Sebelius
March 16, 2009 - 21:03 ET by Retired Geek"Abortion advocates often deflect negative attention by insisting that late-term abortions are in the best interests of the babies that are aborted.
They claim that if the babies are not "terminated", they will live lives scarred by illness.
The truth is that the vast majority of the babies condemned to death by late-term abortion are healthy and capable of living meaningful lives."
"There also exists a common misconception that late-term abortions are limited to medical emergencies.
Nothing could be further from the truth. From 1998 until 2000, only one out of the 1168 abortions that Tiller performed after viability was done during a medical emergency.
Upwards of 97% of his late-term patients weren't even from Kansas—they flew in from other states to have abortions that they had scheduled in advance."

Barack Obama and BAIPA
March 16, 2009 - 21:05 ET by Retired Geek"Let me tell you a story. In 2002, President Bush signed into law a bill titled the "Born Alive Infants Protection Act" (BAIPA). This law was necessary because, believe it or not, infants were being born alive during attempted abortions and then, ancient Spartan style, left to die. Jill Stanek wrote about this last year, saying:
"As a nurse at an Illinois hospital in 1999, I discovered babies were being aborted alive and shelved to die in soiled utility rooms. I discovered infanticide."
The act was so vile that even staunch abortion advocates would not oppose BAIPA. Stanek tells us that it passed the Senate by unanimous vote, garnering the support of senators Kerry, Kennedy and Clinton. She then pointed out:
I testified in 2001 and 2002 before a committee of which Obama was a member.
Obama articulately worried that legislation protecting live aborted babies might infringe on women's rights or abortionists' rights.
Obama's clinical discourse, his lack of mercy, shocked me. I was naive back then. Obama voted against the measure, twice. It ultimately failed."

March 16, 2009 - 21:11 ET by Cool ArrowAnd for electing Barack Obama, with full knowledge of his cavalier disdain for born, breathing children, we deserve the harsh judgement that befalls all who would give it a nod and a wink.
Obama stepped boldly into the arena of child murder and judged it righteous. America voted.

Babies Crying in Terror alone, rejected - No One Cares
March 16, 2009 - 21:12 ET by Retired GeekThe 'Born Alive' baby who has known the closest contact with another human any human can experience - the baby has been inside another human for months.
The baby has kicked, stretched and some even suck their thumbs. Every need has been met by its human host - shelter, nourishment and safety.
Suddenly one day the baby is attacked with chemicals and poisons.
The baby enters a world bent on death and destruction towards its life.
The baby has never seen a butterfly, puppy, pretty colors or things all babies enjoy or had any human say I love you.
The baby enters the world in excruciating pain and the best trained Medical experts in the world refuse the baby any aid - in a hospital - where all facilities are available and the Doctors have sworn to protect all human life - except his.
The baby is thrown on a cold table and left to die in some hidden place.
The baby struggles to breathe because a human is born with the human will to survive. The baby cries in terror and sobs for help - that never comes - no one cares.
The innocent baby tries to live with every breath and dies alone, abandoned like a used kleenex, never having experienced anything but pain, rejection and hatred.
When the baby finally dies a death of torture and the ultimate rejection any human can receive, it is such a worthless human it doesn't even have a 'Death Certificate' issued that it ever existed.
For a few minutes, hours or days, that baby WAS an American Citizen, that should have received all of the 'Rights and Protections' under law, that any other American Citizen should have.
Michelle and Barack Obama and most Democrats, have done everything humanly possible, to make sure this baby does NOT even receive any pain medication.

March 16, 2009 - 21:28 ET by Retired GeekI have received a 'Blog Beating' from many, for that piece I posted on my Town Hall blog and other websites, in August 2008.
Thanks for caring - men especially should protect the defenseless.
It is beyond comprehension to me, the hatred and vitriol I received for trying to defend these little 'American Citizens'.
Once they were born, separated from the woman who gave birth to them and living on their own - they were American Citizens and should have received the protections of any other citizen.
I truly believe that American Citizens of all ages will be treated this way, should Barack Obama bring his Health Care to America.
