CBS Reporter Calls Environmentalists ‘Long-Suffering’

  • Bookmark and Share

More proof that America has been delivered from the eight years of hell that were the Bush administration: Environmentalists are happy again. That’s according to CBS Evening News on Jan. 26.

Reporting on the orders President Obama issued yesterday to overturn Bush Administration decisions regarding automotive emissions, Chief White House Correspondent Chip Reid said, “On Capitol Hill critics said the action could set the struggling American automobile industry back even further, but the change in course delighted the president’s audience, long suffering environmental activists.”

Had it been a Republican president undoing the draconian environmental policies of a Democrat president, would Reid have talked of “long suffering manufacturers?” “Hard pressed entrepreneurs?” “Much put-upon businesses?”

Probably not…

The fellow who

Was assigned to the stunt in the Antarctic, to call Obama on inaugration day, is in the hospital from frozen lungs. So suffering probably applies.

Frozen lungs, huh?

D@mn global warming!!

In order to be pro-choice, one must first be born. Ah, the irony.

  These long suffering

These long suffering environmentalists are still suffering because their ultimate goal is the elimination of private automobiles.

I have a feeling that the

I have a feeling that the suffering is just beginning...remember that in the eyes of the extreme enviros that we "humans" aren't the solution -- we are the problem.

as the standards on MPG are raised-

by this socialist President, we need to raise a rope over a branch, and hang those who support eco philosophy that ruins the American economy. those who wish not to buy gasoline or use electricity, fine. do it, leave me alone.

why must my money be laundered through the House and Senate. if you want me to use it, remove my income taxes, and my companies as well. It will move through to recovery far sooner than having the thieves in Washington can ever accomplish.

Social Security was pillaged by these robber barons. we as voters can not trust any of them.

I wonder how much Sierra Club money went into the Obama campaign...at $200 a pop...

If those parasites are

If those parasites are suffering...long may they suffer.

It would be

very interesting to follow a 100 enviro"mentalist"s around and actually see how they live.

I worked with a person who was a major fan of peta.  One day I noticed she was wearing leather shoes.  I asked her about them, and her response was "oh, well it's hard to find shoes that aren't leather."  I betcha 99% of these mentalists are hypocrits!!

They've been suffering...

Now they'll see to it that the rest of the US suffers as well.

Happy Trails...

I studied environmental

I studied environmental science in college.  It's about the relationship between Man and Nature.  It's about managing resources, and doing what is reasonable to minimize the damage we do to the planet and, of course, ourselves.  It's about how Man has screwed things up even more by interefering and trying to 'fix' things.

The real scientists for example, were quite surprised at how quickly life came back after Mt. St. Helens blew its top.  They originally predicted that it would be far longer.  They learned a lesson...they understimated the tenacity of life and the power of Gaia.

Companies that dump dioxins into rivers...crucify them, of course.  But I think that this eco-nut fringe has detracted from otherwise worthwhile efforts that are easily within our reach to achieve and have turned off millions to all this.

This stuff, is the mad cow disease of socio-political environmentalism...it's not a science, it's an ideology worthy of any fanatical religion or extremist political group.  It is their reason for getting up in the morning.

One of the 24% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 89% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory.

How have those “long suffering environmental activists”

How have those “long suffering environmental activists”managed to get more enviro and green energy lobbyists into D.C. than All  of "Big Oil" has there, Combined!, President HopeyChange?

Just Curious.

Teddy... Bingo. I heard

Teddy...

Bingo.

I heard this from Reid yesterday somewhere....

The greenies/rules, regulations have destroyed more businesses in this country than anything else...of course it goes without saying congress-critters that pass their laws, let alone the judges they have appted. all across this land...their lawyers know what judge to go to in what area.

Pure destruction.
