Cybill Shepherd Rants About 'War On Women'; Hypes 'Mother's Scared For Me'
TV star Cybill Shepherd went on a radical feminist bender on Friday's CBS This Morning, touting that there really is a "war on women" manifested by the "attack on Planned Parenthood." Anchor Gayle King had to cut her off, as Shepherd inserted her diatribe at the end of the segment, but revealed her sympathies with her guest: "I think you're raising a good point. We just need more time to do it."
The far left actress made her devotion to the pro-abortion cause clear, and hinted that pro-lifers were so extreme that they would try to kill her: "Abortion is our constitutional right. We should keep it legal. And also, birth control should be available to everyone....I'm coming to lead the next march on Washington, and I'm not going to wear a bulletproof vest. My mother's scared for me." [audio available here; video below the jump]
The morning show brought on Shepherd during the 8:30 am Eastern half hour to promote her new TV series, "The Client List," which glamorizes prostitution. King glowingly congratulated her guest as the interview was ending: "Cybill, good to see you. You look great....Congratulations." The celebrity, who trashed Sarah Palin in October 2008, replied by forwarding the cultural left's talking points about conservatives' opposition to the Obama administration's abortifacient/contraception mandate:
SHEPHERD: Thank you. I just want to say one quick thing-
KING: Okay-
SHEPHERD: About the war on women and reproductive freedom, including the attack on Planned Parenthood that- that, not only should- abortion is our constitutional right. We should keep it legal. And also, birth control should be available to everyone after [unintelligible]-
KING: Cybill, we really need more time if we're going to do that-
SHEPHERD: No- cut me off any time you want-
KING: Okay-
SHEPHERD: I'm coming to lead the next march on Washington, and I'm not going to wear a bulletproof vest. My mother's scared for me. This is an important thing-
KING: Okay. I think you're raising a good point. We just need more time to do it.
On Tuesday, the CBS morning newscast deferred to another left-wing Hollywood guest, John Cusack, who slammed the Obama administration from the left: "The excesses of the Bush administration...[The President] had a constitutional obligation to correct that, and I don't think they have, and I think that's deeply troubling....They've...continued that imperial presidency of the Bush administration."

Cybill Shepard is 62 years old. Granted, she looks great for her age, but her thinking her reproductive rights are in danger of being taken away is laughable.
Sorry, but they already have been taken away Cybill. Its called menopause.

Really? IT IS!!!
This is why leftist lies like BSNBC and the rest of the MSM are so dangerous. You get someone like poor Cybil who is obviously not the brightest bulb and you get her all terrified, and of what? NOTHING! None of it is true, and she is beside herself from watching all this propaganda.

You are so right! Where in the heck did these crazy libs/dem women get the idea that conservatives and/or republicans were going to take away their ABILITY to go out ANYWHERE and actually BUY birth control? Geez! We absolutely want these women to continue to have access ( which has NEVER been denied and wont ever be) and especially to USE birth control (to prevent other crazy women from being born in the future). BUT if these women are so stupid as to believe that voting for a republican means taking away their right to free or low cost birth control, then they really do suffer from mental illness (crazy). There is NO war on women but the libs/dems are able to brainwash their kind into beleiving this. Its sad really, these poor delusional women.

We don't owe anyone money for birth control
Submitted by nkviking75 on Fri, 04/20/2012 - 3:08pm.
There are only two Constitutional rights that require taxpayers' money, as far as I can tell: (1) the right to counsel when you're accused of a crime and can't afford it on your own; and (2) the right to compensation when the government takes your property through eminent domain. (I'm no lawyer, so maybe I missed something.) I'm quite sure nothing requires us to pay for anyone's birth control or abortion.

It is odd that they bring out a celebrity who has not been in a movie or TV show, and I don't know if she has been in a made for cable movie either for a long time. I think they bring her on simply because they want her to repeat what they heard her say on the air. Sad.

This is a trick that hate-preachers and mob raisers have used for ages. Tell your audience that there are sinister forces waiting to ambush you, because your message is just so gosh-darn dangerous to 'them'.
Thus Shepherd is painting herself as some kind of noble champion - God bless her - she's not afraid to stand up to the biiiiig, baaaaad GOP that's just lurking out there in the bushes, waiting to snuff her out. And the GOP is rubbing their hands in anticipation of her appearance at this march or whatever it is, because they've tried shooting her dozens of times before, but she's always been wearing that blasted bullet-proof vest!

"Constitutional Rights" are not 'granted' granted by the Constitution.
Those "Rights" enumerated in the Constitution are "PROTECTED by the Constitution".
Those "Constitutionally PROTECTED RIGHTS" were granted by "OUR CREATOR".
"OUR CREATOR" is generally referred to as God in laymans terms.
Your idiotic position would amount to GOD giving your the 'right' to kill the unborn.
I'm betting that isn't the case at all.
I'm beting it was a bunch of democrat appointed Liberal 'judges' on the Supreme Court that needed an abortion on demand law in order to protect themselves from paternity suits if their wives ever found out.
Or maybe they were on ted kennedys payroll? john kerry? dodd?...
Shall we just go down the list of politicians that needed some type of cover?

It's funny, but you know someone's trying to resurrect their Hollywood career whenever they come out of hiding and slam Conservatives. It's as if they're sacrificing something on the altar to these heathen Liberal gods of the silver screen: "show us your loyalty to socialism and communism, and we will make you relevant once again."
We have seen it happen many times--people who otherwise would have faded away long ago, put on parade simply by virtue of their liberal-ness. Kathy Griffin, Rosie O'Donnel, Alec Baldwin...the list goes on and on.
