CNN's Blitzer on Election of Steele: 'I Don't See a Whole Lot of Black People'

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer went out of his way to point out the apparent lack of diversity in the leadership of the Republican Party during a panel discussion on Friday’s Situation Room. Just minutes earlier, Michael Steele had been elected the chairman of the Republican National Committee, and Blitzer brought up the race of many of those who had voted for him with Republican strategist Leslie Sanchez: “Take a look at the audience, though -- and I want to show our viewers a picture of the audience. Michael Steele, the first African-American leader of the RNC -- Leslie, I don’t see a whole lot of black people, at least in that group over there.” He went on to say, “It’s encouraging. I’m sure you’re encouraged that all these white people basically elected an African-American to be their leader.”

The anchor’s comment came during the CNN program’s regular “Strategy Session” discussion. Besides Sanchez, Blitzer hosted Democratic strategist Donna Brazile during the segment. He brought up Steele’s election as the first topic. After getting both women to respond to the news, Blitzer made his comment about the seeming lack of black people. Sanchez responded by conceding to his observation, in terms of the top RNC members, but then pointed out that “if you walked around that room, there’s so much diversity there. There was so much excitement for Michael Steele.”

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

Blitzer then followed up with his “encouraging” remark about the white RNC members electing the black Steele. Brazile replied by invoking how the Republicans have “taken a page from the Democratic Party” and pointed out how the DNC elected Ron Brown to be their chairman back in 1989.

The Democratic strategist is correct in her point, but since then, the DNC has not elected another African-American to lead their party, even with their emphasis on “diversity.” Has Blitzer ever raised that issue during his program?

The transcript of the relevant portion from the panel discussion, which began 50 minutes into the 4 pm Eastern hour of Friday’s Situation Room:

WOLF BLITZER: Take a look at the audience, though -- and I want to show our viewers a picture of the audience. Michael Steele, the first African-American leader of the RNC -- Leslie, I don’t see a whole lot of black people, at least in that group over there.

LESLIE SANCHEZ: Well, I think that’s a testament -- the party is not, in terms of committee men and women, is not inclusive of a lot of minorities. I think right now, that’s part of the party process. But there’s different parts to the party. I think if you walked around that room, there’s so much diversity there. There was so much excitement for Michael Steele. There was so much excitement about winning these elections, and if you look at 2009, you have governors’ races -- Virginia and New Jersey. He’s got to --

BLITZER: It’s encouraging. I’m sure you’re encouraged that all these white people basically elected an African-American to be their leader.

DONNA BRAZILE: Well look, there’s no question that the RNC, the Republicans -- clearly, they’ve taken a page from the Democratic Party. Ron Brown was the first African-American to lead a major political party --

BLITZER: The Democratic Party.

BRAZILE: Absolutely, back in 1989 -- he was a great party leader. Look, Michael Steele will have to grow the party, enlarge the party, and his biggest challenge is not only to rebuild the opposition, but to find ways to work with President Obama, who’s reaching out to Republicans, opening up a door for them to be involved in this process.

I'm offended that these CNN

I'm offended that these CNN people just assume Michael Steele was elected just because he's African American. Steele seems to be an intelligent, articulate, and forceful voice for the Republican Party - isn't that enough?

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

Steele was elected because he was Black

The guilt on the right is as bad as the guilt on the left. Sure Steele is a nice guy but is he the most conservative or the best choice for the "voice" of the Republican party? Maybe if you support affirmative action:

"I strongly support affirmative action" - Michael Steele (The Washington Post, October 30, 2006)

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Bloody hell

Here we go again!

Don't want these inconvenient facts being known

Better to keep people in the dark.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Who would you nominate

Who would you nominate without qualification for this post?

Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Ron Paul, Bob Barr...

They have to be qualified.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

1.)  WHICH- Mitt

1.)  WHICH- Mitt Romney?

2.)  As posted elsewhere I can support Fred.

3.)  Ron Paul is incapableof formulating a successful foreign or defense policy.  Least wualified member of those on the platform during GOP debates.  (Loved the whipsawed look when Rudy SPEARED him during the debate.)

4.)  Barr is likewise incapable of furmately both defense and foregin policy.

ANd you have a problem with Palin because she is a woman, and Steele because he is, well, not Barr?

Problems with Steele

The same Mitt.

Ron and Barr have a non-interventionist foreign policy. Ron Paul was a Captain in the military, Barr worked for the CIA and has an M.A. in International Relations, they understand defense and foreign policy. It is just not you opinion of what it should be.

I don't support Steele because he support Affirmative Action, the Assault Weapons Ban and is a Centrist.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

The same Mitt. Oh, the

The same Mitt.

Oh, the big goervnment, proabort Mitt.  Gott it.

Ron and Barr have a non-interventionist foreign policy.

That means they are striving for failure.  Not exactly a plus.

 Barr worked for the CIA

Boy, is that NOT a plus.  I work with the "Company Men" from time to time and find them unimpressive.

and has an M.A. in International Relations,

THen why does he have failing Foregin policy practices at th top of his "To Do" list?

You would have thought he might have learned something while inschool.

they understand defense and foreign policy

Obviouisly not based on their spoken policy.

Unsupported Opinions

I'll get back to the facts.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

My opinions are

My opinions are unsupported, but your are not?

Oh, you post SOMEONE elses opinion in a link, or a paste job.

Got it.

Look up unsupported

Boy, looked it up.  I must

Steele was elected because he was the best one for the job...

...among the available candidates for RNC Chairman.

Perfect, he isn't, but unless Rush Limbaugh or John Kasich were vying for the job, we have to work with what we have.

-Dave

Our clueless political leaders are about to drive us all over a cliff. The time to HITM is now-before we go over.

Spoken like a true Centrist

No wonder you like Steele.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Of the three top candidates

Of the three top candidates at the GOP election, who was a better communicator of Conservative ideals?

Tough to say

I would have to research all their positions and hear what they have to say but it is not Steele (who I have researched because he was the front runner).

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Chop chop, get on it

Chop chop, get on it Sarc.

Oh, no hotlinking or cutand paste please.  Do your own work.

Sarc?

No work in evidence.  Just

No work in evidence.  Just like Sarc

What?

Well.... Didn't you admit

Well.... Didn't you admit the only of the three dandidates you had researched was Steele?

THen I suggest you get at it before you make rash judgements most ricky-tick.

You know, you've really

You know, you've really become tiresome here. Your constant and machine-like negativity is trollsome and has made you lose any relevance or seriousness.

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

The facts are definitely inconvenient

Obviously his own words are "negative" - imagine that.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Yawn. The "Mainstream"

Yawn.

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

What is your point?

What is your point?

My Point? The uninformed right wing guilt elected Steele

Now the GOP supports affirmative action? Excuse me for being confused. It is obvious he was chosen for his appearances on Fox News not his conservative positions.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Right. He couldn't possibly

Right. He couldn't possibly have anything going for him.

I'm frankly sick of you those like you who insist that every black Republican is house slave being used as a token.

You presume to read minds and determine people's motives.

You look  inside Republicans and "know" that Steele isn't the best candidate, but they chose him because he's black.

Your arrogance is jaw-dropping.

Then you tell me

Is affirmative action a new platform of the GOP?

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

I have a better question.

Since you're doing nothing but complaining about M. Steele, why don't you tell us who you would have picked and why.

"Not to be a republican at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head." - Francois Guisot

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Silly comment.  You have

Silly comment.  You have no idea WHICH Mitt Romney you are refering to.

Ron Paul and Boba Barr are incapable of waging effective policy based on their stance on the issues.

Compared to those two, a single stance on a single issue which you have a problem with is overwrought.

Your opinion

Which is not based on fact.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

How so? I have

How so?

I have encapsulated Pauls failure in the debates, Barrs incompetance in his positions.

If my positions are not based on fact, than your can hardly be called factual.

You have done nothing but give your opinions

If you cannot even understand the difference then I cannot help you.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

And you are appaerntly

And you are appaerntly incapale of provind anything beyond someone ELSE opinion in the form of a link or paste.

Confused again

I have given my opinion many times, I am just not confused when it is an opinion vs fact.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Nonsense. Just like our

Nonsense.

Just like our friend Sarc, you usually swoop in with a three word item like "Palin nor ready" or some such and throw in a link to someone who has a hardon for a target who does the thought/theory.

We never get to really hear YOUR position since you and Sarc (I still maintian there is no difference) seem to only use others.

I imagine if I were to ask you to provide your opinion regarding any subject matter, lets say Hadrians Walls effectiveness against the Britons your response would simply go something like:

"Wall was big" see link at blogspot.com

Get it?

absolutely not

Steele is a good candidate who has some appeal (and name recognition) beyond the conservative base, which is a critical qualification for any would be political candidate in a democracy (similar for John McCain).  Does his "blackness" have anything to do with this?  Perhaps.  But nevertheless, his visibility and viability is precisely what makes him one of the best qualified politicians, and thus he is not a product of "affirmative action" (which usually uses quotas to hire candidates who are unqualified for the position).

LMAO!

I am so happy we are picking people based on how much they appear on Fox News, I am glad we have higher standards than the left.

1. All things considered,

1. All things considered, McCain did quite well against Obama.  Considering his selfless service of this country, along with his conservative running mate (your personal favorite), he was the obvious choice.

2. Go back and read the rest of my post.  Steele is qualified and was a great pick. (BTW, I am most pleased with the GOP's pick).

You didn't!  Really?  You wastedyour vote for a person who cannot put forth an effective foreign and military policy?

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

You have made the obvious

You have made the obvious mistke of assuming schooling and postion equals competance.

By the way, stop trumpeting the CIA link.  It will only make things WORSE for you.

I don't make those mistakes

Since Palin is incompetent, I proved my point.

Not a good sign, trust me.  I have a low opinion of most of my counterparts in Langley.  I think you might want to drop this one.

and your opinion on the CIA is just that

But it is bourn of personal experience of 18 years.  Can you say the same?

but it clearly shows he has foreign policy experience.

Nothing clear about it.  Could his analytical experience been performed regarding scientific matters?  Yep.

Could his duty postion dealt with researching new technology?  Yep.

Could his duty position been researching other items not involving foreign policy?  Yep?

Would you know the difference?  No.

nothing against Bob Barr

I think most folks here would agree.  But he has one not-so-trivial political problem: He is simply unelectable to national office (namely, POTUS), and thus your vote was wasted (and Barr did cost the Republican a couple of states, thereby impacting the electoral college results).  The greatest chance for a 3rd party candidate to win POTUS in our lifetimes has already come and gone back in 92 (I mean, the Independent actually had a finite chance).  Yet the result was disasterous and not easiliy remedied, even after 8 years of Bush.

For the very same reason (broad national and somewhat centrist appeal), Steele is a hell of a lot better qualified than Barr as the RNC Chair.  Again, nothing against Barr, but the appeal factor is a critical qualification for national political leadership.

Popular Tech, Are you

Popular Tech,

Are you kidding?

Just because you believe in something it does not mean you are going to shove your believes down the party that you represent!

I am unsure what your hang-up is about Michael Steele believe in Affermative Action. He has not pushed for any policy or action that shoves Affermative Action down America's throat.

Now, if he starts pushing for the RNC platform to include Affermative Action, hey I'll be the first to one to complain and ask for him to resign and be repleaced. Until that day, nothing in his past suggests that he would commit such an act, right?

I am a Latino male and I hate Affermative Action, it assumes that minorities are too stupid to accomplish anything in life without the aid of government. So I understand your concern, but to come in here and claim that Steele was elected just because he is black is as ignorant as Liberals claiming that Bush is a racist, that Republicans are racists, etc, etc.

Unlike our opposition, we

Unlike our opposition, we allow people of all views in the party.  THey are allowed to state those views and attempt to move the party in the direction of their choice.

Or would you forbid anyone who is not a rabid Ron Paulist in the party?

You would be ok if Steele was Pro-Choice

Yes or No?

I would not want to be a party of socialists, no but Ron Paul I hope is not the only one who does not support socialist policies like affirmative action.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

I wonder.

Why you would consider Romney a better choice over Steele?  Romney supported abortion before he was against it.  At least affirmative action doesn't kill thousands of innocent lives.  If I had to pick, Steele would be the far better choice.

Romney bragged during the debates that he had brought healthcare (SOCIALIZED) to Massachusetts.

The offshoot of him being the first governor to provide socialized medicine to a State was the $50 buck abortion

Of course you're now expecting us to believe Romney was too stupid to have anticipated this, but I, for one, am not buying it.

You realize, 50 buck abortions are cheaper, on a personal level, than the pill, don't you?

But now that he's not Gov of Mass anymore, he can fall back on his personal principles rather than his expedient principles.

I always thought it quite hypocritical that your good Bishop Romney was a baby butcher, but I guess it was for the good of the State, huh?

Tiresome, Pop T.  And so ignorant of you to continue taunting this posting board.  What a jackass.

So Mr. Steele said he supports affirmative action.  Well, I'm a Conservative, yet I don't support the death penalty.  Now that I have said this, will you or anyone else limit me by always looking at me as the Conservative who doesn't support the death penalty, or is there more to me than ONE FRICKING ISSUE?

PopularTech, Just

PopularTech,

Just because YOU believe Michael Steele was elected because he is black, it does not make it so.

and just because Michael Steele believes in Affermative Action it does not mean that he was elected because he is black.

1) I am a Latino Conservative who aligns most of the time with Republican values. The fact that I am Latino has nothing to do with the fact that I am a Republican or Conservative.

2) I have seen and heard Michael Steele debate, fight Democrats, stand up for Conservative values. Of all of the candidates running for RNC chairman, he was the best choice.

3) I would encourage Conservative/Republicans like yourself to get use to the idea that the Republican party does serve a large tent. While including McCain, Jim Edgar of Illinois, Snow and other RINOs is too large of a tent, believe me that Conservatives don't all agree on the issues. it is silly and immature to believe that Conservatives are carbon copies of each other.

Steele is a great choice, not because he is black, but because of all the individuals that wanted to run the RNC he was the best suited.

Please people start getting away from black versus white, latino vs. white, latino vs. black. We are no better than the Liberals and Democrats if we start believing and bikering about a person being good or bad because of the color of their skin.

I do not care who performs surgery on me or my children, I only care that they are a great, well educated, knowledgeable surgeon. I do not care what the color of the skin of my President is, as long as he is a President that represent the right values, Judeo/Christian values, that will keep my children safe-economically, socially, etc, etc!!!

If we are to beat the Democrats and Liberals, we MUST not fall into their traps, their verbage. We must not lower ourselves to their pathetic, ridiculous, racists believes!

I AM AN AMERICAN!!! and I love this nation with all my heart and soul. I know that only Judeo/Christian believes will keep this nation running. Does it really matter what the color of my skin is or it is not?  Democrats and Liberals will make you think so....WE CONSERVATIVES ARE MUCH BETTER THAN THAT!!!

You are Confused

I don't care that he was Black, I care about his position on issues. Affirmative action is not some minor issue you ignore. It is a socialist mandate. I am not a socialist. None of this changes why he was selected, he appeared on Fox News a lot and yes is Black. The GOP wants to play identity politics instead of picking the most qualified person for the job, if that person is black fine but the identity politics need to stop. Steele is part of that.

Freedom of religion is a part of the U.S. Constitution and that extends outside of Judeo/Christian beliefs.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Popular Tech, Can you

Popular Tech,

Can you please point out to any public policy that shows that Michael Steele will force the RNC platform to include Affermative Action?  tick, tock, tick, tock?

Why don't you go beyond your opinion and show facts! Start thinking like a Conservative, thinking with logic and stop reacting like a Liberal, with emotions.

I am unsure what your last sentence on freedom of religion has to do with anything.

I too hate Affermative Action. I am a Latino and I hate it with an incredibly passion. It demeans human beings by saying that certain sector of our socity is not smart or good enough to achieve top positions without the aid of the "Great White Hope". but once again, there is no public policy, law, etc that Steele has supported that shows that he will force the RNC to adopt Affermative Action.

What public policy?

He hasn't done anything.

Freedom of religion means that people can believe whatever they wish which includes religions outside of Christianity and Judaism.

Motherbelt... Yeap,

Motherbelt...

Yeap, PopularTech is a mind reader.

He admits that Steele has not done anything as Lt. Governor or during his Senate run that shows that he would implement Affermative Action laws and policies on the RNC.

However, he is sure that because Steele is black that he was chosen due to identity politics.

Sorry PopularTech, you are being as much of a racist as Liberals.

You are trying to get into the head of RNC voters, into Steele's head. You are trying to guess the intentions of these individuals. Much like the "hate crime" laws that Liberals want to push on Americans that would have judges, lawyers, policemen, etc guess what was going through the mind of an individual when they committed a crime. PLEASE!

Racists support affirmative action

Since I do not, I am clearly no racist.

Steele has done nothing of note because he has not held any position where he had the power to do anything. Your nonsensical conclusion defies all logic.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, You have to

PopularTech,

You have to be a Liberal implant!

So, what you are saying is that anyone that supports Michael Steele is a racist too. According to your twisted logic Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, etc are all racists, eh?

Please, you are playing the race card as much as Liberals do it!

You are trying to guess Steele's intentions, you are trying to get into his head and claim to know the reasons why he supports Affermative Action. You are a teenager! maybe not by age, but surely by mind. How are you different than the Liberals who support "hate crimes"?  YOU ARE NOT!

YOU are the racist who is stuck on race issues! sad! pathetic and honestly, embarrassing!

You might as well have voted for Obama since that is who your voted helped.

Also, please drop the whole fiscial conservative crap. Your vote helped Obama and Democrats, the most fiscially irresponsible party, get into power.

at our universities across this country, I look at our boardrooms
across the country, I look at NBC, CNBC,
Fox, all these stations, all the corporate, corporate companies-and I
don't see affirmative action necessarily being practiced there when I
look at the management, when I look at the leadership, when I look at
those who have a decision-making role."

Q: "Are federal affirmative action programs necessary and effective?"

A:
"Studies show enormous disparities still exist in education, healthcare,
employment and economic opportunities along racial lines in the United
States.
I believe programs are still necessary to help close these divides. I
support giving people opportunities. Programs must be fair to all
Marylanders - of every color - and they should focus on economic
empowerment."

Clearly Steele supports Affirmative Action. That being said, I will see where he goes with this. He is strong on abortion, strong on illegal immigration, strong on defense. He is a little iffy on gay marriage and gun rights, but as I am an economic conservative above all, politically, I am willing to wait and see.

liberal would be all about socialize -- uh, uh, would be about
basically taking over and the government running all of your companies."-Maxine Waters 2008

Racists support affirmative

Racists support affirmative action. Since I do not, I am clearly no racist.

David Duke also doesn't support affirmative action. What's your point?

“There are no easy answers' but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.” - Ronald Reagan (1964 Republican Convention)

I also don't support David Duke

So clearly I am not racist either way.

Waiting for a answer

Who would have been your choice since you don't care for Mr. Steele & why?

"Not to be a republican at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head." - Francois Guisot

Sorry.

This isn't a multiple choice question.  You state the person and give a reason why he or she would make a great head of the RNC.  How hard is that?

Although I love Steele,

Although I love Steele, Connie, Thomas, etc, I was half symathetic with PT until he brought up Ron Paul.

Don't blame me....I voted for Palin...

I didn't bring up Ron Paul

Someone else did because I voted Libertarian, I have issues with Dr. Paul on some things but his biggest problem were his rabid fans who did a poor job of selling him. And most of the problems people have with him are not by his own making.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

So PT, your not only sexist......

you are racist, also. As I said before, your obsession with disagreeing on certain points is admirable in it's way, but, your constant harping and singing the same old tune while hijacking a thread is very, very tiresome.

Your lies are tiresome

Your lies are tiresome and old. What is sad is how you slander and smear those you disagree with. You don't even have the integrity to be honest because your weak mind cannot comprehend what honesty is anymore after all the lis that you have told.

Well as we all know,

Well as we all know, "Republican" is a party, "conservative" is an ideology.  Many, if not most, Americans don't know the difference.  Michael Steele, to me, is a Republican.  Conservative yes, but not the most so.  As the RNC chairman, he'll do fine and represent the party well.

I'm sure his race had a piece in his winning the chairmanship.  I'm not stupid.  If they put a Michael Steele equivalent beside him who's white, face it, Steele has that one thing "extra" that the Republican party is not going to run away from but embrace.  And notice I said equivalent beside another.  He was not chosen merely because he was black, but in my opinion, it played a role in the overall selection.

All this crap about the Republican party needs to be more diverse.  GEEEEZ, if the ideas of the party are conservative, and they remain true to those values, then I want people who are of those values to back the party.  If they're all white, so be it, if they're all black, so be it.  The problem is not that the party isn't diverse.  The problem is that conservatism is very logical, very "American" and people who learn about it, flock to it.  The problem is that the media, public schools, etc etc work like mad to make sure Americans don't understand it.

Nicely said, sir, nicely said.

Great post.  Your words made a lot of sense.  I particularly enjoyed the explaination of the difference between Republican and Conservative.  (I'm just a simple Conservative myself, and it is always assumed I am a Republican.  Not that that is a bad thing, but I'm just not ready to be labeled like that.)

"Liberate tutume ex inferis, liberal puppets."  Me.

GregE, my feeling almost.......

exactly. Good post.

I actually wondered who would be the first

out of the gate with this one. I personally wondered if it might be a hindrance, his being black, because how they like to obsess over stupid stuff like that. I don't agree with all of his past decisions, he has supported people I couldn't, but he is not making up my ideological make up. His job is to get the message out, which he does better than any of the others seem to, raise money, that will be a challenge, and network, which he is good at. I didn't dislike Duncan so much as a person, he did a great job of getting money in, but he was the invisible man when it came to getting the word out and going on the tv shows, etc. The man had the personality of a wet sock, but he left Steele Twenty Million to work with, so he wasn't all bad. I pray Steele will do well.

Bringing the government in to run Wall Street is like saying, "Dad burned the dinner, let's get the dog to cook." PJ O'Rourke

Being Black is irrelevant

unless that was the main reason he was selected because his positions are not conservative and he has little success in politics to be considered a good choice. This is a race of the guilty to make themselves look better than the others. What message is he going to get out? That the GOP supports affirmative action?

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Pop, you're no more a Conservitive than Steele is!

Pop, you're no more of a Conservative than Steele is, so stop acting like you are, somehow, a good judge of Conservatives and their effectiveness.

Conservatives judge people based on their actions, not their rhetoric, and certainly not the color of their skin. Yet here you are, claiming to be a Conservative while insisting that someone was given preference over others due to the color of their skin even though, and this part is important, you had absolutely NO direct involvement in the selection of that person so you have NO idea as to why that person was picked.  You might as well claim that Steele was selected because faeries arrived during the selection process and used a magic wand to make people vote for Steele.  That would have just as much creditably as any other explanation you could possibly give as YOU WERE NOT THERE to witness the process!

Obama: My job is above my pay grade

Conservative and Affirmative Action?

It is an impossibility. You cannot be conservative and support a socialist policy, which is why Steele is a Centrist.

I agree being Black is not the only reason he was selected, appearing on FOX News a lot helped.

I am a Conservative Libertarian - big difference from a regular conservative.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

EXPECT THE EXPECTED

Liberals look at people only as group members and use diversity to divide, yada, yada...

Just another example to show Republicans should never ever care a wit what the network media says about them...but have a daily factual rebuttal to the lib-media (aka the democrat diaper changers)...

Expect the expected...liberals will not change and they mean what they say.

Doug Schexnayder, Ph.D. (theconservativecrawfish)

I agree.  I am also

I agree.  I am also offended by the comment, "It's encouraging."  The DNC's record is abysmal compared to the RNC's on both civil rights and the number of minorities in powerful positions.  So before you libs get too lippy, the POTUS is just one person!

I am happy for for Mr. Steele.  I've seen a couple of comments around the internet that accused him of being a Rhino, but I cannot find adequate justification for that.  He seems to be fairly conservative both fiscally and socially, both on record and on statement.

He is pro life, against the use of embryotic stem cells, against deficit spending, defends marriage as between man women and God, called to cut federal gas taxes while prices were insane, very pro gun, against socialized medicine, supported the Iraq war in the beggining middle and end, against amnesty, believees it is a priority to close our borders, has studied theology, and supports lower taxes for all.

So he may not be the most conservative candidate to chair the RNC, but it sounds like he'll certainly move it back towards the right!  Plus the man has charisma and a personality that connects with people, something the RNC has lacked over the last several years.

Steele is a RINO

I already provided the evidence. Being Pro-Life does not remove all other issues from someone's character.

The Case Against Michael Steele (RedState)

"I strongly support affirmative action" - Michael Steele (The Washington Post, October 30, 2006)

"We have to elect moderates in the party." - Michael Steele (CBN News, December 8, 2008

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

But in the full context, he

But in the full context, he wasn't saying we need to elect moderates.  He was basically saying that moderates will be a fact of life and was stating that the reason he joined the RLC was to opena conservative voice with the moderates.  To sell them on the conservative brand.

“This may be a unique opportunity to build a relationship or a
bridge between the conservatives and the moderates in our party and so
she asked me to serve on her board and I said well this will be good.
It’ll be a pro-life conservative voice on a board with a pro-choice
leadership that is looking to elect moderates. We have to elect
moderates in the party.”

“For all you little folks out there who think that you’ve got me
on this you don’t. My being on this board had nothing to do with
lessening my conservative values or somehow appeasing them or
compromising them. It had everything to do with reasserting them.”

~Chad

He clearly said "We have to elect moderates in the party"

Those are his words, those are his beliefs because Steele is a centrist, which is fine if you support Centrists, I don't. I don't support socialist affirmative action legislation.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

OMG! Michael Steele a

OMG!

Michael Steele a Centrist?!~ WOW you have to be a Michael Savage fan, you have to be.

Michael Steele is as much of a Centrist as Obama....please.

Steele believes in unifying the Republican party. His believes are FAR from being that of a Centrist.

You are not being honest at all!

Yes Michael Steele is a Centrist

He holds left-wing positions such as affirmative action.

Their vote helped Obama get elected. While he did not vote for Obama, he might as well had.

he is crying about the Republicans fiscal irresponsability and then he goes right ahead and helps the Democrats, who are 100 times worst than Republicans, get into power by voting for the Libetarian party which has ZERO chance of ever winning an election!!!

PT, I believe you dropped your logic on the floor on your way back from work!

You are as guilty for the economic mess that will get worst thanks to Obama's and the Democrat's policies as Obama, Democrats and all those blind masses that voted for these idiots.

Once again, how does your vote help the fiscal situation in America?

how does your vote help keep America safe from terrorist attacks?

it is not about feeling guilty, ti is about answering and being logical!

how does you voting Libetarian help America's military become stronger, and better?

All I have are his own words

PopularTech, Oh please!

PopularTech,

Oh please! you wish you had more?

You go and make a false statement that Steele is a left-winger. When pushed to prove it you answer that you wish you had more proof?

wow!!! You are not different than the countless of Liberals that love to rely on their emotions rather than on logic and facts!

You claimed that Steele is a left-winger. You have hold on to this believe because he said that he believes in Affermative Action and then you misquoted him on moderates.

So, prove that he is a left-winger or apologize!

I said he was a Centrist not a left-winger

Lets see so far I have presented two damning facts: #1 He supports affirmative action and #2 he wants to elect moderates. I fail to see the emotion.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech,You have

PopularTech,

You have proven nothing other than that your voted helped Obama, a super, duper fiscal irresponsible, naive, fool become President.

Michael Steele liking Affermative Action doest not make him a left winger. The day that he starts creating policy or trying to change the RNC platform to support Affermative Action, I will be right by your side. Otherwise, you really need to give it up already.

As for your statement about moderates, you took it out of context!

he never said he wanted moderates to be elected, he said that we should work with moderates inside the party. Whether you like it or not, it must happen.

by your logic, Hannity, and many other Conservative leaders who voted for and supported McCain are also left-wingers.

Yes, you are using emotions, not logic to come to your twisted conclusions.

Your vote went to an economic illiterate not mine, you helped Obama get elected by not voting for Bob Barr.

2) how did your vote help fix the fiscal situation in America?

3) How did your vote move forward the Conservative agenda in America?

4) how did your vote keep my family safe from terrorists?

why are you terrified of answering these questions, coward?

Any Libetarian that voted for Bob Barr is an immense, blind fool who only helped Obama get into the White House. and you damaged the Conservative cause for years to come!

You did NOTHING for the Conservative principles other than help a naive fool get into the White House who will do anything and everything in his power to destroy Conservatism!

Big Trouble Ahead

 Making Fun of AGW http://giovanniworld.wordpress.com/

You know I will say it

You know I will say it since so many conservative and Republicans are unwilling to say it....

I am unsure if PopularTech stayed home and did not vote for anyone...however, I blame the Republicans that stayed home and did not vote because they were disappointed on McCain. These Republicans are as guilty as our party leaders that we are not the minority party and we lost the election.

I blame these Republicans as much as Obama and Democrats the fact that F.O.C.A. may become law, that millions of children will be aborted thanks to Obama's Executive Orders and the pro-murder of babies bills that will be passed in Congress. I blame these Republicans and Conservatives who stayed home and did not not vote as much as Obama and Democrats when this nation is hit by a terrorist attack thanks to Obama's weak foreign policy.

I am so sick and tired of Republicans fighting harder amongst each other, than fighting against Democrats!

It was embarrassing, stupid, pathetic, etc what the Republican establishment did to Palin. These individuals were are hateful and full of vitrol against Palin as the Democrat Party. Here in Illinois you had the established good old boys and girls Republican elite attacking and eating up anyone that supported Palin. I volunteered in my District to help McCain/Palin campaign and it was unbelievable what too many elite, established Republicans were saying. In fact, quite a few of them voted for Obama because they hated Palin so much. Of course this is the reason why the Republican party in Illinois is destroyed and despite the fact that the Democrat party is also destroyed in Illinois thanks to Blagojavich, the Republicans can't capitalize on this. PATHETIC!

Just like we have a lot of RINOs in our party, we have a lot of elites fools. It is these individuals who much rather destroy one of their owns than the Democrats, that cost us the election.

We will lose big time in 2010, Conservative values will suffer greatly, America will suffer greatly if we cannot unite as a party.

I know this will cause some fellow Republicans and Conservatives to not like me, but geez someone has to speak to the facts.

I voted for Bob Barr

I already said this many times. I voted Libertarian as I cannot vote for economic illiterates like McCain and Palin.

Fightin the Democrats while holding stupid positions on issues is a waste of time. Then what are you fighting for? Just to win? That is effectively the message I have gotten from many who ingored the obvious:

Bush Was a Big-Government Disaster (The Wall Street Journal)

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

OMG...Please tell me

OMG...Please tell me PopularTech that you are not a Ron Paul fan....please, please!

Your vote was a waste of time. You are as guilty as Obama, Democrats and Republicans that stayed home the day that we get hit by a terrorist thanks to Obama's and the Democrat's weak foreing policies.

The blood of millions of aborted babies in the next four years are on your hands as in the hands of Obama, Democrats and Republicans that stayed home and did not vote.

Yes, Bush was FAR from being a Conservative, he was more of a JFK type of President than a Reagan President, but my gosh man, why would YOU waste your vote on a Libetarian candidate that had ZERO hopes of winning? to punish the Republican party?

The only people that you punished are millions of unborn babies that will be aborted, the victims of the terrorist attacks that will occur under Obama, etc, etc, etc.

Ron Paul is right about the economy

That has been proven but I was never a "Ron Paul fan" but I would have voted for him if he was nominated for the GOP or with McCain running, he ran for the Libertarian Party.

My vote is my vote and always will be. Your delusional fantasies of stating otherwise will never change this. I am proud of my vote and can rest easily at night that I did not vote for Obama or McCain.

The blood of millions of aborted babies? Your are seriously delusional.

If the Republican party continues to ignore fiscal responsibility I will continue to vote Libertarian, it is just that simple.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, Incredible

PopularTech,

Incredible that individuals like you can look themselves in the mirror and be ok with what they say.

Yes, YOU as much as Obama, and Democrats have the blood of ALL aborted babies of the next four years. Obama and the Democrats are quickly passing Executive Orders and laws that will make abortion easier. Yes, the millions of abortions that will take place in the next four years, the blood of these innocent human beings lay at your feet as much as at the feet of Obama and the Democrats. Pathetic that you do not care!

I also hope you feel comfortable and ok with wasting your vote which gave Obama the Presidency and a platform to carry out his weak foreign policy. Will you also laugh it off and claim that you are ok when a terrorist attack happens in the USA because of Obama's weak policy? YOUR VOTE along with those Republicans that did not vote have facilitated the Democrats and Obama's beliefs to make America a weaker nation. The blood of any and all Americans that die thanks to Obama's failed foreign and domestic policy lie at his feet, the feet of all Democrat politicians that support him and sign his bills into law and at the feet of individuals like you who love wasting their vote on Presidential candidates who do not have any type of chance to win.

You wasted your vote and like so many, you helped Obama get into power. This is a fact of life that whether you like it or it is true.

The blood of countless of human beings will lie at Obama's feet, Democrat's feet and voters like you.

Sorry to be so blunt, but it has to be said. YOU WASTED YOUR VOTE! and you helped Obama win the Presidency. You are as guilty as Obama and all Liberals that voted for him.

Incredible that individuals like you are ok with wasting their vote.

As long as you did not help McCain win? are you kidding me? wow....how old are you? It was not about helping McCain win, it was about keeping this nation, these nations children safe! born and unborn. It was about keeping American families safe!

Do you think that by voting Libetarian you did not help Obama and his anti-American policies win? Please! do not be so incredibly naive!

If anything happens to my children thanks to Obama's weak foreign policy, it will be your fault as much as Obama's!

Does this nonsense really work on people you talk to?

I will continue to vote Libertarian until the Republican Party becomes fiscally responsible. I don't think this is hard to undertand. Now please explain it to your friends who are confused.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, Explain how

PopularTech,

Explain how voting for a party that has ZERO chance of winning helps America?

How does voting Libetarian help your family, my family?

How does voting Libetarian help our foreign policy?

How does voting Libetarian help America become a stronger nation that will have a strong foreign policy that will deter and prevent terrorist attacks?

how will voting Libetarian prevent abortion?

how will voting Libertarian allow me to get vouchers for private schools?

How will voting Libetarian end Affermative Action?

explain how your vote will achieve any of these?

tick, tock, tick, tock

I am not brainwashed

The presidential ballot has many candidates and as a U.S. citizen I can vote for whoever I wish. Everyone has this same choice. Thus I will always vote based on which candidate agrees with the issues most important to me.

Libertarians support limited government, low to no taxes and liberty.

It is not just about winning but principal. If everyone was not brainwashed and voted for who really supported the issues they cared about it would be a different country. Your idiocy of the lessor of two evils argument is why people like McCain and Obama get nominated to begin with.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, Who did you

PopularTech,

Who did you help get into the White House?

and you failed to answer the questions! you went into the typical Libetarian rant!

ANSWER!

How did your vote help America become a more fiscal conservative nation? You claim you care about the economy.  how did you vote do this?

Stop being the typical Libetarian and answer the simple question!

YOUR VOTE HELPED OBAMA BECOME PRESIDENT!

HOW DID YOUR VOTE MAKE AMERICA A BETTER NATION?!

why do Libetarian voters have such a hard time answer the last question?!

How did voting for a party that had no chance in hell at winning strenghthen America? another tough question for Libetarians!

you are crying about the economy, yet YOUR vote helped an incredibly naive and fiscially irresponsible fool get into office.

concentrate on answering the questions and get away from the typical Libetarian excuse for voting for a party that has no chance in winning!

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICA'S FISCAL ISSUES?

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP THE MILITARY?

HOW DID YOUR VOTE KEEP KEEP MY TWO CHILDREN SAFE?

can you answer these three simple questions? wow!

I helped Bob Barr

Unless you vote for someone you cannot help them get into the White House.

The Libertarian vote cost McCain Indiana and North Carolina, we now have the GOP voting unanimously against the stimulus bill. So that is a start.

You questions are stupid, my vote can only help the person I vote for.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

Populartech, My questions

Populartech,

My questions are stupid?

Your vote only helped Bob Barr? Now that is like saying that those that voted for Ralph Nader did not help Bush win in 2000.

And by your logic, then we agree.

YOUR VOTE DID NOT HELP AMERICA IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!!!

you can't answer the questions because you and I both know that your vote did not help..

America fix its fiscal problem

it did not make America safer,

it does not keep my children safe from terrorist attacks.

You and I both know that YOUR vote helped Obama become President. I am so sick and tired of Libetarians like yourself that do so much harm to the Conservative cause!!!

and you have to be kidding if you believe that it is Libetarians that have caused Republicans to stand up agains the Stimilus package.

Heard of Rush Limbaugh? that is who helped Republicans get in line with Conservative values.

You Libetarians always believe that you matter more than you really do.

The only thing your vote did is help Obama get into the the White House.

Your vote weakned America.

Your vote weakened our foreing policy.

your vote is helping in America become more of a fiscal disaster.

You are right, the only idiot that you helped is Bob Barr...sad that you can't see how helping Bob Barr actually damaged America.

Delusions of power

You are not the deciderer on if a vote helped America. This is America and I have the freedom to vote for whomever I choose. I will exercise this freedom every damn time. I know it just kills you that your moronic lack of logic cannot convince anyone with more than a high school education but you need to get over it.

Your lies and propaganda do not change reality.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, Oh you are a

PopularTech,

Oh you are a funny one.

Care to point out where I have said that you should not vote for whom ever you want in America?  Wow!

Typical Libetarian, you have a persecution complex!

You are 100% right, you have the freedom, right and duty to vote. However, like everything that we have a right to, it comes with great responsability! and you and I, and all voters need to be held accountable for who they vote!

Your language gives you away. your desperate attacks on me and my persona give your young age away.

it baffles any type of logic how you can't see that your vote did not help America.

if your vote helped America, why can't you answer these simple questions....tell me, convince, me, show me your superior intellect! show me how I should be a Libetarian instead of a Conservative Republican. here is your opportunity to recruit one for your side.

Answer the questions with logic, not emotions. Convince me that you are right.

1) how did your vote help America become a more fiscial conservative nation?

2) how did your vote help America's foreign policy be a strong one that would keep our families safe from a terrorist attack?

3) How did your vote help keep public funding from abortions?

5) how did your vote help the Conservative cause in America?

Five simple questions. Why are you so terrified of answering them PopularTech.

Throw all the insults that you want. Call me moronic, a high schooler, what ever you want. It does not change the fact that both of our votes have consquences.

Explain, along with answering the five questions above, what is/are the consequences of you voting for Bob Barr.

if you wish to insult and end this, just let me know.

Libetarians, have a persecution complex? LMAO!

That doesn't even make any sense.

Your stupid nonsensical posts give away your young age.

You are asking me to answer questions based on your emotional opinions logically? Cannot compute. You have presented a false choice. First you present questions holding your opinionated position on issues I never brought up, worded in a way that matters to you only. Here answer there:

1. How did your vote help America not get cap and trade climate legislation?

2. How did your vote help America not get a financial bailout bill?

3. How did your vote help America not get support for amnesty for illegal aliens?

4. How did your vote not help Gitmo get closed?

Don't be terrified of them. Too funny.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech... You can't

PopularTech...

You can't even defend your Libetarian vote. hmmmm...says a lot about you.

I did not know that asking you about what you said mattered to you the most, the economy was getting emotion and bringing up a subject that you "never" brought up.

Why are you terrified of answering the questions....or do you not care about America and America's economic state?

let us boil it down to what you claimed you cared the most.

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICA BE A FISCAL RESPONSIBLE NATION?

why is it impossible for you to to defend your Libetarian vote?

Do you not believe that votes have consequences?

A few posts ago you claimed that your vote only helped Bob Barr. Now with your questions, you have shown that you know that your vote for Bob Barr has consequences FAR beyond helping Bob Barr, and  that my vote for McCain has consequences beyond helping McCain?

then by that logic, your vote also has consequences beyond helping Bob Barr. C'mon kid, try to keep up.

So, I ask again and throw one more in there...

HOW DOES YOUR VOTE FOR BOB BARR MAKE AMERICA A MORE FISCAL RESPONSIBLE NATION? you claimed to care about fiscal responsibility. So I only ask what you claimed you care for.  Fair?

Additionally, how does voting for a man you knew had no chances of winning move foward the Libetarian Conservative cause?

two simple questions that a Libetarian that is proud of his Libetarian vote should be able to answer.

And answering questions with questions like you have done is a sure sign that you know it is impossible for you to defend your position.

Answer my questions and I 'll be glad to anwer yours, fair enough?

Although, I have never met a Libetarian that knows how to play fair once they have been pinned in a corner.

Can't you compose a post better?

Your running on and hitting enter at every sentence is sloppy.

I already stated why I voted Libertarian, I believed Bob Barr was the most fiscally responsible running, who supported limited government, lower taxes and liberty.

Bob Barr is more fiscally responsible than McCain or Obama. Thus if he is elected America would be more fiscally responsible. I have already said this over and over.

Was Bob Barr on enough ballots to win the electoral college?

Pinned in a corner? Answer this question:

Why do you keep posting stupid opinionated questions worded toward your subjective opinion of topics and demand answers due to your insanity?

I actually agree that the

I actually agree that the GOP needs to exhibit more fiscal discipline.

PopularTech, And what you

PopularTech,

And what you are saying is that money is more important to you than the life of a human being, eh?

that money is more important to you than keeping America safe from terrorist attacks, eh?

Incredible what the greed for money will make some human beings do.

Answer this simple questions, what did voting Libetarian do for America? what?

How did your vote help America? How did your vote help America become a stronger nation that will not suffer from a terrorist attack?

how did your vote help the million of babies (I know you'll laugh it off again so you do not feel guilty) that will be aborted in the next four years?

Sounds like your vote was that of a rebellious teenager that hates his parents. No rhyme or reason for it.

Greed is Good

Greed (1/3) (Video) (12min) (John Stossel, ABC News)
Greed (2/3) (Video) (13min) (John Stossel, ABC News)
Greed (3/3) (Video) (14min) (John Stossel, ABC News)

Greed is good (John Stossel, Townhall)

Mergers and Acquisitions: Why Greed is Good (Peter G. Klein, Ph.D. Professor of Ecomomics)
The Virtue of Greed (Walter E. Williams, Ph.D. Professor of Economics)

But Greed has nothing to do with fiscal responsibility. Yes the economy is the most important issue to me. Just like I do not support government funding for abortions, to protect ourselves from terrorists you have to have the money to do this.

My vote was one of fiscal responsibility and I am no teenager.

You can give up the nonsensical guilt-trip as I have heard it all before.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, So let me

PopularTech,

So let me get this straight....

Your vote helped Obama get into office and Democrats win a majority in Congress. Who if Republicans have been fiscally irresponsible, these imbeciles will be 100 times worst and somehow you feel comfortable helping a super, duper, incredibly fiscal irresponsible party get into power?

You have some twisted logic...very twisted logic.

and for not being a teenager, your logic resembles that of one.

In other words...Republicans have been bad, but you were more than content wasting your vote and helping a worst party get into party, right?

Tell me how this is good for America again?

How did your vote help the fiscal situation in America?

Libertarians took Indiana, NC from McCain, time to wake up

I understand you deluded confusion on the issue but I do not vote based on fear of the front runner. I voted for who I felt was the most fiscally responsible, which was Bob Barr. It is simple logic.

If the Republicans wish to regain power they will have to become fiscally responsible. That is good for America. If they don't I will continue to vote Libertarian and that is a promise.

If you don't think Libertarians matter look at the vote in Indiana and North Carolina, the margin Obama won by is less than the Libertarian vote.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, How did your

PopularTech,

How did your vote help the fiscal situation in America?

How did your vote help the military become stronger?

How did your vote help American's stay safe from terrorist attacks?

I never said Libetarians do not matter. It was fools like you, who helped Obama win the election!

Don't you get it?

Your vote helped Obama get into the White House!

How does this help America?!

can you answer this instead of going into some typical Libetarian rant that I have heard millions of times about princples, etc.

You helped elect a President that was not just bad at representing your principles. You helped a man get into the White House that wants to destroy any chance that you and I may have at implementing our Conservative principles.

So, once again, How did your vote help America?

for standing for your principles, you vote help elect a man that will do anything in his power to destroy your principles.

how can you be so blind to this?

Answer the questions instead of going into the typical Libetarian rant.

How did Libetarians help America become a better and stronger nation by wasting their vote on a man that had no chance in hell of winning? explain this!

Your vote, as much as anyone's that voted for Obama helped Obama get into the White House!

So, explain again how your vote helped America become a better nation.

It was fools like you who help Obama get elected

By not voting for Bob Barr, don't you get it?

I voted for who I felt was the most fiscally responsible, supported limited government and liberty.

Where did I say I think the military is not strong enough and we are unsafe?

Bob Barr was on enough ballots to win the electoral college and thus had a chance to win. That he did not does not change this fact.

I've already explained over and over.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, No as you

PopularTech,

No as you said...your vote only helped Bob Barr...

in no way, shape or form did your vote help America become a better nation.

That is ultimately who one should vote for! the person that has a chance at helping America keep on being a great nation!

How does voting for Bob Barr who had no chance of winning any type of meaningful electoral votes make America a better nation?

How do you feel that you voted for Bob Barr and not McCain, and by not voting for McCain you helped put Obama in the White House. A man that does not only hate Conservatism, but is doing everything in his power to destroy it!

A vote for a Libetarian candidate is a vote against America, period end of story. Anyone who is not desperate to justify his wasted vote will admit to that!

YOU HELPED OBAMA GET INTO THE WHITE HOUSE!

you claimed to love fiscal conservatisim, yet you voted for a man you knew had no chance of getting into the White House while helping Obama get into the White House.

You are not a man of principles, you prentend to be a man of principles, like so many Libetarians that voted for Bob Barr. Your principles, that you claim to be Conservative (which I doubt) are being trampled on by Obama! thanks to voters like you that can't think before they vote.

If you trully were a man of principles you would have voted for the candidate that had the best chance at being elected and protecting most of our Conservative values!

The Libetarian party is as dangerous to the Conservative cause as Liberal Democrats, The Green Party, and all the other radical parties in America.

You wasted your vote and helped obama, a man who hates Conservatism become the 44th President.

You are as responsible for everything that goes bad under Obama as those that voted for him.

It is not a guilt trip, it is the truth which you are so desperatly denying!

You are not the Deciderer

You are not the final authority of if a vote for president "helped america". Bob Barr would make America a better nation, I supported his positions on the issues.

Was Bob Barr on enough ballots to win the electoral college?

I feel fantastic that I voted for Bob Barr, I makes me proud, I tell everyone without hesitation or fear because I voted for who I believed in.

Yes I am a fiscal conservative, McCain was not. I am a man of principals by voting for them instead of out of fear like you did.

The only people responsible for Obama are those who voted for him, not me.

BTW I am a conservative libertarian NOT a conservative.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

'Deciderer'?

Wow. Poor UNPop. Looks like you guys have got him rattled.

In order to be pro-choice, one must first be born. Ah, the irony.

chooselife3x, PopularTech

chooselife3x,

PopularTech does not seem to understand that all of our votes have consequences beyond helping the person that we voted for!!

he can't answer the simple question....

HOW DID POPULARTECH'S VOTE FOR BOB BARR HELP AMERICA?

HOW DID POPULARTECH'S VOTE FOR BOB BARR HELP STOP PUBLIC FUNDING FOR ABORTIONS?

HOW DID POPULARTEHC'S VOTE FOR BOB BARR HELP AMERICAN'S STAY SAFE FROM TERRORIST ATTACKS?

HOW DID POPULARTECH'S VOTE FOR BOB BARR HELP MOVE FOWARD THE CONSERVATIVE CAUSE IN AMERCA?

He seems to believe that his vote is of no consequence other than to help Bob Barr.

Incredible!

You cannot answer my questions!

1. How did your vote help America not get cap and trade climate legislation?

2. How did your vote help America not get a financial bailout bill?

3. How did your vote help America not get support for amnesty for illegal aliens?

4. How did your vote not help Gitmo get closed?

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, Answering

PopularTech,

Answering questions with questions is a true sign of having lost the debate.

I promise you....you answer the questions that I first asked of you and I will gladly answer your questions, deal?

why are you terrified of answering my questions? if you are right...you should have zero problem answer the most basic question....

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICA BECOME A BETTER NATION?

c'mon populartech....why are you evading the questions?

Asking questions subjectively worded to your opinion

Is a sure sign you don't know how to debate.

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICA BECOME A BETTER NATION?

What does that mean? It doesn't even make any sense. My vote helped Bob Barr. Based on the positions he held I believed America would be better off with him as president but you idiotic question still makes no sense. How can a vote "Help" America, that is subjective and illogical.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech, You have to

PopularTech,

You have to be kidding, right?!

WOW, asking you how your vote helped America become a better nation is a subjective question?  HAHAHAHA!!!

You CAN'T get more objective than asking you...

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICA BECOME A BETTER NATION?!

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICA BECOME A MORE FISCAL RESPONSIBLE NATION?

Both of these questions are objective and get to the heart of why we must vote and for who.

You and I both know that you wasted your vote on a party and a candidate that had no chance in hell to win. while it is your right, freedom, choice and duty to vote, YOU WASTED YOUR VOTE!

You claim to be a man of principles. How the hell where your principles moved foward, how were your principles strengthened when you voted for Bob Barr?

You keep on claiming that your vote only helped Bob Barr....EXACTLY!!! don't you get it? that is the whole point!

Our vote is suppose to put someone in the White House that is going to help America, NOT THEMSELVES! get it?

Someone that is going to move foward the Conservative agenda in the USA, someone that is going to strenghten the Conservative agenda, make America a better nation.

We vote for a candidate that is NOT going to help themselves, but that is going to help America move foward.

You are EXACTLY right when you say that your vote only helped Bob Barr. The sad part is that you do not see how harmful your vote was to America.

Your vote is as harmful to America as every single vote that went for Barack Hussein Obama.

When you answer how your vote helped America, an objective question that every American must answer before and after they vote, you may be taken a lot more seriously.

I know for a fact that you and I agree on some issues, but this whole thing of individuals like you that went ahead and wasted their vote and did more harm to the Libetarian cause than good is just ridiculous.

Amazing how you are blind to the fact that voting for Bob Barr actually did more harm to America and more harm to Libetarians causes.

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BECOME A BETTER NATION?

this is a fundamental, objective questions that every single citizen that voted has a responsability and duty to answer. Our right and freedom to vote comes with great responsability. Why so many Americans are blind to this is beyond me.

What do you people need an Hugo Chavez like in my  native country, a Castro, a Mao Tsung in order for you to realize how precious, privilaged, and lucky you are that you can cast a vote that will actually influence your country?

WOW! Libetarians, I know some of you beyond PopularTech belong to he Libetarian party, but let me tell you, so many of you, not all, but too many of you do so much harm to the Conservative causes that we agree on.

The word "Help" is Subjective, Amateur

Because what one person considers helpful another may not. Your lack of understanding of the English language is amazing. The fact that you cannot understand this simple point makes your long winded rants all the more laughable. It is like I am dealing with an amateur. ROFLMAO! Oh it hurts. You are like a nonsensical jackpot.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is Not Pollution

PopularTech.... As I said

PopularTech....

As I said above.....

It just boils down to....

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICA BECOME A BETTER NATION?

maybe you are right, you have some insight that I don't. Maybe your logic is not flawed, mine is.

Care to show it, prove it. I kid you not. here I am, open to the debate and ready to say that you are right if you use logic, instead of emotions.

HOW DID YOUR VOTE HELP AMERICANS STAY SAFE FROM TERRORIST ATTACKS?

Why are you so afraid of answer these questions? are you afraid that will be proven wrong?

HOW DID VOTING FOR BOB BARR ADVANCE THE CONSERVATIVE CAUSE?

is it so hard to answer these questions?

HOW DID VOTING FOR BOB BARR KEEP MONEY AWAY FROM PUBLIC FUNDING OF ABORTIONS?

HOW DID VOTING FOR BOB BARR HELP STRENGHTHEN OUR MILITARY?

I believe these are all issues that you and i agree on.

So, how did your vote help move foward the Conservative agenda?

Yeah, and Obama isn't even a

Yeah, and Obama isn't even a *real* black person for arguments sake.  He is half Kenyan!  He does not have roots to America's past regarding blacks and whites.

We all saw how Democrats reacted when a *real* black guy wanted to take Obama's Senate seat.  Remember Harry Reid? I hear banjos now everytime I think of dingy-Harry.

.......and his biggest

.......and his biggest challenge is not only to rebuild the opposition, but to find ways to work with President Obama, who’s reaching out to Republicans, opening up a door for them to be involved in this process.

And if obama was smart he'd listen to the Republicans.  One of the reasons President Bill Clinton did as well as he did was because the Republicans kept the crazy democrats from leading him over the cliff.  Of course that means I'm hoping there are a few conservative leaning Republicans left to provide some common sense guidance.

What a hoot! I  know I'm

What a hoot!

I  know I'm changing the subject of this thread but who does Brazile think she is kidding?

find ways to work with President Obama, who’s reaching out to
Republicans, opening up a door for them to be involved in this
process.

Oh, right.  The President Obama who invites Republican input, but when they disagree with him, informs him that "I won. So I will trump you on that..."

He's opening the door to invite them to ride along; not to actually offer anything.

You mean that reaching out and opening doors, Donna?

   Yeah... LOL... there

Yeah... LOL... they're supposed to meet with obama and then nod in agreement like a bunch of bobbleheads.

Donna

Seems to think bipartisanship means the opposition is yes man/women. I am Glad Mike got the RNC chair not because of color but because I have alot of respect for him.

Hey Bobo Brazille, since

Hey Bobo Brazille, since you and your ilk unceasingly divide the world by race, let me put it in terms even you will understand:

Obama is a political racist.

Barry's like the Montgomery, AL bus driver that opened the bus door for Rosa Parks in 1955 and then expected her to sit in the back, give up her seat to a white person, and shut the hell up.

Now our House Republicans (no pun - House Negro - intended) have launched their own version of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and refused to sign on to the crap sandwich known as the Obama Stimulus Bill.

Libs can have their trite "Yes We Can" and "We Our The One's We've Been Waiting For".

I'll stick with the tried and true "We Shall Overcome" and "Don't Tread On Me".

No, motherbelt, she meant

You mean that reaching out and opening doors, Donna?

No, motherbelt, she meant attempting to reach out and open doors like this.  Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the Republican leadership had already barricaded the doors hours before Obama arrived, and instructed the flock that total opposition to the bill was expected of them.

Ron Brown, eh.  They don't talk much about him anymore...except for stuff like this.  I guess him and Vince Foster are just better forgotten so that 'we' can get on with the issues the American people really care about?  Why bring up those things.  Better to sit back and chuckle at Slick Willy's jokes, and carry on serious conversations about Shrillary and her SoS job...you know, stick to the issues.  The past was just a dreeeeeammm.

I've always liked Michael Steele and it's good to see him as RNC chair.

If Wolf Blitzer isn't the dumbest, most shallow "news" anchor on television, I don't know who is.  He should have been fired for the way he dishonestly injected race into the Katrina coverage...but he got rewarded for it instead.  So why not double down on this Steele appointment?  Make trite "observations" about the racial makeup of the people in the picture again.  Wolf Blitzer is a racist scumbag.

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." -Winston Churchill

What a ditz

The reason he's bringing it up isn't that he's a racist. It's that he's a supreme idiot. He's one of these people who actually thinks the Republican Party is composed of Klan members. That's the funniest part. He's not trying to insult Republicans or be dishonest. He's (rather conceitedly) trying to praise them for finally rising above rank prejudice and ignorance to something resembling his own superior, enlightened state. Too blanking funny.

Of course he's being

Of course he's being racist.  When you make ignorant, blanket comments/assumptions based specifically on race, that's a form of racism.

Anyway, at CNN it's kind of hard to tell.

Never forget: the only reason Republicans name or elect blacks to positions of influence or leadership is to hide the fact that they hate black people!

I'm confused.

When Mr. Obama became the first black president it was something to celebrate because it showed that whites were OK with a black president.  But when Mr. Steele became the head of the RNC it's a problem because it showed that whites were OK with a black comittee leader.

Am I missing something here?  Oh  yeah, B.H. Obama (D) & M. Steele (R).  That clears it up.  Nevermind.

I'm glad you said "never mind" because I thought I was going to have to go into a lengthy explanation LOL.

Black is a political ideology, not a skin color.  So Michael Steele isn't even an authentic black.  No authentic blacks are Republicans.

Believe me, I know.

We're just considered to be Uncle Toms or Aunt Jemimas instead of people that actually understand how the democrats have done absolutely nothing to further the lifestyle of blacks in this country.

duh

"Leslie, I don’t see a whole lot of black people, at least in that group over there.”

A sad fact, but should we be surprised when one considers African American voting patterns?  Let's be clear to Mr. Blitzer -- it isn't because the Republican Party is a "white's-only club," and this is demonstrated by the likes of Steele (as well as Keyes, Powell, Rice, Thomas, et al.) all being in prominent leadership postions.

Where are the black anchors???

By the way, I don't see a whole lot of black folks working in network news anchor spots. Have I missed any?

Well BOO HOO!  Why does it

Good point about the anchors. I say BOO HOO!  Why does it always have to be "blacks"?  Why not a latino, an Asian, an Islander, an Indian, a Native American?

Black people do not represent the only "minority" anymore.

According to "Blitza", this

According to "Blitza", this is a lose lose situation for republicans.  We could fill a room with lots of black people, in a black neighborhood with Chris Rock as M.C. and we would "only be doing it to look inclusive".

The only reason Democrats have more black supporters is because democrats fraudulently misrepresent how somehow they "support" black people even though they really don't.

I hate to admit this but I think this choice of a black chairman might be motivated by trying to appeal to more black people and not necessarily because he is the best strategist.  But is that so wrong?  Isn't that politics?

I just hope the GOP knows what they are doing because we don't want 8 full years of Obama.  If this is what we have to do to win then albeit.

We need qualified and competent people in government and political leaders (as well as every place else).

Man am I late to this blog!

everything I wanted to say was said already. Curse you white people making me tardy! I need reparations and I need it now! :-)

Seriously though I am glad Steele made it and NOT because he's black. I know there are "certain" people who believes that Steele was elected because he's black but why was Obama elected?

Blitzer has Biden Syndrome. He and the other Old Media anchors believe that the random thoughts sloshing around in their brain are pearls of wisdom that the whole world would be honored to hear.

For liberal Democrats and the Old Media, everything is crisis, chaos, calamity and catastrophe. That justifies stealing your property and liberties.

This guy is on the right

I don't think there is any disputing the Affirmative Action claim by PT.

However, this guy is on the right side of things (figurtively and literally)>

You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

Wolfie, my racist friend,

Wolfie, my racist friend, why don't you go out for a few stiff ones with your messenger-killing friend Jackass Cafferty and let him give you some driving lessons.

In case you haven't noticed Wolfie, at least when us Republikkkans elect or place black folks in our highest offices we don't shop around for those that are half-and-half mixes. Besides, I would hazard a guess than the majority of Republikkkans hadn't even noticed Steele was black until you brought it up. We don't tend to dwell on those little things like you do.

Which Party Is More Racist?

I will not take a lesson in race relations from a woman(Brazile) who said the Repubs are "a party of white boys and had a white boy mentality".

Wolf should ask Condi's father about the party of inclusiveness.  Condi's father wanted to register as a Dem. in the 50's.  They wouldn't accept him.  Guess which party did?  BTW, did you know Condi was a Dem. until 1982?  She didn't agree with Carter's foreign policy and switched parties.  Hurray for Condi and congrats to Michael Steele.

Pop Tech, this goes out to you.  Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Ron Paul a "9/11 Truther"?  If he is, that puts him in Rosie O'Donnell territory and destroys any credibility he might've once had.  Here's a link.

"For The First Time In My Life, I Am No Longer Proud Of My Country Because It Seems Like, Socialism Has Made A Comeback"

Please, again I say..............

please, do not chant out loud for the appearance of the apparition known as Mr. AF.  It was nice reading the bottom 1/20th of the replies not hijacked.

There is those racist comments again

well anyway, there are more conservative Republicans who are black than they think.  but when 90% of the black population of this nation are democrats what do you expect. Maybe if they were educated to trully think independently and not collectively therer would be more.

Well you would expect not to see to many black over there. it is not that there are none just not to many. and he is right.  So what's the Point?

are you trying to lable republicans a racist?  sepratist? or Bigots?

the party that plays the race issue are the biggest racist on the planet. they will call the black in the RNC uncle Toms. (racist remarks comng from smart a** punks that never saw a slave nor was their great grandma a slave.  it's the Democrats that keep them hating and using those racist remarks that got this white boy crying, "there aint to many blacks over there..look" wah wah wah.

Give us a break and start reporting on the PORK barrel stimmulis Package that cant't help but put more of the blame on the white man. I am tired of blaming everything onthe rich white man.  Let'sstart blaming it on the Elite Black Man Obama.

→ Take a look Blitzy

Take a look at CNN.  I don't see a lot of content of character

I guess CNN is keeping to the old agenda.

Ask not what your country can do for you.  Ask what you can do for your country - Khalil Gibran

Thanks for proving my point

Thanks for proving my point ONCE AGAIN wolfie, that liberals only care about identity politics and nothing else.
