Bill Clinton’s appearance on Wednesday’s "Larry King Live" gave new life to the old nickname for CNN as the "Clinton News Network." Host Larry King fawned over Clinton during the 40-minute interview, asking the impeached former president questions on wide range of topics. King asked Clinton if Osama bin Laden was ever going to caught. After Clinton gave the standard Democrat line that not enough resources are being sent to Afghanistan in the hunt for the al Qaeda leader, King added, "You almost got him." Clinton answered affirmatively, and added that he "never had a chance to deploy large numbers of troops to Afghanistan."
During the first half-hour of the interview, King asked Clinton about Hillary and the criticism she has received over the years; the former president’s latest book, "Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World;" his involvement in charitable causes; and forwarded two e-mail questions from viewers on his involvement in his wife’s presidential campaign and how he might help select her running mate. Clinton also answered what he thought of Fred Thompson and the rest of the Republican presidential field; and the upcoming report on Iraq from General Petraeus.
The first topic King asked about, however, set the tone for the entire interview. King asked Clinton about the recent sex scandal involving Senator Larry Craig. "Did you get any sense of satisfaction, since he [Craig] was such a critic of yours during the impeachment thing, and using terms very demeaning about you? Clinton answered in the negative, and explained, "Because when it was going on, I knew that, you know, a lot of them were outed for hypocrisy long before this. And everybody knew that -- every serious student of the Constitution -- knew that the whole thing was bogus, and that they were just jumping on a terrible personal mistake I made."
After the bottom-of-the-hour commercial break, King immediately brought up the lapel pin Clinton had on, and asked about an international fugitive.
LARRY KING: By the way, some people have -- they can't read the pin on your lapel.
CLINTON: Oh, it says 'Hillary.' My gosh, I probably should have taken it off before the TV show started, huh?(CROSSTALK)
KING: No...
KING: Hillary two thousand...
CLINTON: Eight.
KING: Eight. You know, you could have kept it on.
CLINTON: Well, I have got another one.
(LAUGHTER)
CLINTON: I will give you one for a keepsake. You don't have to wear it.
KING: I wonder how you have them. OK. Some other items.
CLINTON: I will put it on.
KING: Are we ever going to get Osama?
CLINTON: Well, not if we don't put the right resources into the right places.
KING: You almost got him.
CLINTON: I did. But I never had a chance to deploy large numbers of troops to Afghanistan. I think that we can. And I think it is very important. We shouldn't forget, here, this guy -- he and Dr. al-Zawahiri are responsible for the deaths of the Americans on 9/11. They are still trying to plot violent actions in the United States and all over the world. And that is another reason we can't lose in Afghanistan. If they have freedom of movement -- greater freedom of movement, the more freedom of movement they have, the more freedom they have to plot and contact and do things that might be damaging to us. So, another reason that I strongly feel, and I know Hillary strongly feels this way, that we have to withdraw troops this year, is that we need to beef up our presence in Afghanistan and get our allies to join us.
As his usual M.O., King didn’t ask a follow-up question, and went on to ask Clinton about the recent arrests in Germany in connection with a terror plot and about the war on terrorism in general.
The height of King’s fawning over Clinton came when the host asked, "Would you be happier if history said about you: Bill Clinton, a great philanthropist who happened to be president?" Clinton paused for a moment, and answered, "No. I would like to say that I was a president who left America and the world better off when I left than when I started, and that after I left office, I did my best to help organize people in -- as private citizens -- to do the same thing. And large numbers of people were better off when I stopped than when I started."
A live discussion of the Larry Craig scandal took up the last 15-minutes of King’s program. King’s guests during this discussion included Clinton political strategist James Carville; Michele Laxalt, a Republican strategist; Stacey Honowitz, the assistant state attorney for the state of Florida; Mark Geragos; and Dr. Robi Ludwig, a psychotherapist.

September 6, 2007 - 13:55 ET by cvgbuckeyeI sincerely believe that what the media is doing to get Hillary Clinton elected has passed far beyond blatant bias and has passed into the CRIMINAL LEVEL.
These Marxists have used the Freedom of the Press, that hundreds of men and women now lay in their graves to preserve, to personally abort the very freedom of the American People to vote for people of honest and legitimate values and attributes.
Instead, they have knowingly formed an unholy coalition to elect their own cast of characters that conform to their leftist, if not Marxist agendas. Unfortunately, based upon how stupidly that a majority of Americans continued to support a disgraceful person like Bill Clinton, they may very well be dumb enough to put him back in the White House, with the help of the msm. Soon thereafter, Conservatism will be criminalized,,,,,similar to the Bolshivek Revolution.

So the wife and I were in the local (popular franchised) restaurant the other day, they had msnbc on the tube, I asked the waitress to change it to ESPN and on of the customers protested. I told her that I tip 20% and if they are watching that BS she would be lucky if they even believed in tips. She brought me over the remote, and told the other folks that I asked first. I changed it to Fox untill they left, the wife could barly control herself. So funny

(Remember in Feb of '93 he said he worked harder than he ever had in his life to try to figure out a way to deliver on the tax cut promise. But because the deficit was "higher than he thought" it would be [which was another blatant lie] he said "But I can't").
So as with capturing Osama, at least he tried to cut taxes on the middle class!
Wow, not only did Clinton suckhole Larry King fawn all over Sick Willie (as he always has done) but His Slickness sure ate it all up voraciously. The Clintons are such total reprobate and yet they always go on and on about how wonderful they think they are.
And as others have posted here, it's amazing to think that anyone watching this could be that stupid to actually believe what Der Schlickmeister was saying. And how about the liar in chief saying, "my gosh! I probably should have taken off this Hillary pin before the show started, huh?" Yeah right!!!!! Like that wasn't a planned thing for Larry to take notice of that in order to plant the "Hillary 2008" image in viewer's minds. How pathetic for Larry King to say Duhh let's see what does it say Bill, Hillary two thousand .... .
This wasn't an "interview" with Bill Clinton. It was a 60 minute "elect Hillary in 2008" political ad.
And not only did Mr. 43% shamelessly call perjury, obstruction of justice, tampering with witnesses, suborning perjury, etc. a "personal" mistake, but he once again singularized everything (All those women like Lewinski, Broddarick, Jones, Flowers, Willey, Purdue, etc. were a mistake?? And even just taking Lewinski alone, he fooled around with her thirty seven times between 1995 and 1997. He would have people think it was one incident).
We can only hope that come November 2008 Mr. Cigar will be saying, "Hillary almost got elected President."

Clinton - When I left...Oh my, I left a disaster.
September 6, 2007 - 14:12 ET by Gary HallClinton wants to be remembered as, ".. I was a president who left America and the world better off when I left than when I started.."
Let's see, when you left office:
- All hell had just broken loose in the Middle East with the tragedy and horror of the 2000 Palestinian intafada.
- Chechnya? Oh yea. That part of the world was better off also.
- North Korea? Yup. They were better off (other than the 1,000,000 who had just died from starvation and cold in the famine). Why? And at the same time, they'd gone right ahead under your watch and started building nuclear bombs anyway.
- Iraq? 500,000 children died there from the UN sanctions. You had how many bombing campaigns in Iraq? 5 biggies. Oh, right - the UN Oil for Food program solved all those problems.
- The survivors of the 800,000 Rwandans murdered in the 90 day genocide, in 1994, would see that "Never Again," actually meant that as that conflict moved next door to the DR Congo, another 4 to 4 1/2 million people would die in and from conflict - the largest loss of life in any single conflict since WWll, once again, the world would sit on it's hands and ignore the crisis.
- Shirtsleeves or long sleeves was the big question in Sierra Leone, Africa, posed to those caught by the murderous thugs. It meant, do you want your arm cut off above or below the elbow. Some 60,000 - 75,000 died there in that conflict of "Never Again." In one month in 1999, 6,000 civilians were slaughtered in one town. Never Again, had become again and again, under your watch.
- Meanwhile in Afghanistan, just a couple of years before "you almost got him," the Taliban took over in a void left behind with the Soviet withdrawal. Some 60,000 were slaughtered in yet another genocide. "Him," became very grounded in that new environment, from which "him" went public, declaring a Holy Jihad against the US and the West. From there, "him" comfortably planned for and trained his recruits for his successful US Embassy attacks, the attack on the Cole, the 9/11 attacks, and many more. Oh yes, you did drop support for the Unocal pipeline project across Afghanistan.
- And at home? Well Homestead, Florida was not fully recovered from Hurricane Andrew and the Midwest had not fully recovered from the great Mississippi floods of 1994. New Orleans was less safe than when you were elected - although the great exodus of humanity from the city continued unabated.
- The US was reeling from an historic cycle of greed - boom, then bust. Results? A historic stock market crash, a historic loss of wealth, thousands of companies would either go out of business or be forced to downsize as a result of poor leadership (you can thank the liberal economist Dean Baker of CEPR for that view), millions of Americans would loose their jobs and health benefits (becoming uninsured) as a result of the crash, and millions of Americans would loose their life savings and college education funds for their children.
- An immediate result of the economic collapse was the return of massive federal and state budget deficits for years to come. Annually, hundreds of billions of dollars in anticipated tax revenue dried up, and would take years to rebuild.
- The recommendations of the Al Gore Airline Security Commission would be ignored, because of an immediate and successful lobbying effort by the industry of the Democrat Party. Did anyone in the MSM ever consider what effect that may have had in assisting Bin Laden?
No, Mr. Clinton. When you came into office the economy was well on it's way to recovery from an economic recession. When you left office, you left with the economy entering a recession and the people staggering towards a dark hole. I was never one inclined to blame you personally for such radical swings in the economic fortune of our country and our people, but we certainly should not let you wallow in the self serving lie that you and the MSM have continued to indoctrinate us with.
- NAFTA? Now, just how pleased are the workers in America with your leaving them with NAFTA. All we keep hearing from the media and the D's is that it is destroying America. What is your view, Mr. Ex?

and the entire Middle East is loving the guy, and noone seems to notice much. Most of Africa is a Muslim run terror state, Indoenesia, lots of the former USSR....
The reason we haven't gotten Bin Laden is because Islam already has the nuke.
Remeber the quickly squashed poll from Saudi Arabia, where 65% of the populace supported bin laden to a degree, and 35% wanted him to RUN the Saudi state?
Islam can destroy 1500 year old western Churches and places of worship with impunity like they still do in the Balkans and Kosovo, and did under Clinton's actions while he supported them there, but we can't even check their Mosques for nuclear bomb holding basements because "It's disrespectful and the infidel defiles the holy sanctity" and the muzzie might rise up in street rage fury- just like when they all went INSANE when the Israeli leader walked by their golden dome.
I am agreeing with you, the democrats think it's a piddly diddle crime spree, but I don't even think the republicans have a handle on how twisted and dangerous the whole deal is. We aren't fighting for our very existence, but they are going to fight every chance they get.
Perhaps changing 2 Islamo governments with military force is sufficient a show of seriousness, but I doubt it, SINCE 57 OF em stood up and their leaders said it's all Israel's and satanic USA's and "the west's" fault in a gigantic applause .
This whole deal is going to take one helluva gigantic "Reformation" of Islam before it really gets anywhere, and in the mean time it's going to get very much uglier than it has been already. I don't see any way it will be avoided, with the reactionary Islam raging like it has the last few years and binny boy in protected nuke territories, I'm already convinced.

September 7, 2007 - 01:49 ET by fitzfongGood God, how nauseating! The media really thinks they're doing the Clintons a favor by fawning over Slick Willie and his filthy ball-and-chain. But their pathetic pandering is just going to remind everyone just why we all hated the Clintons to begin with. If the Dems want to lose, they're going to nominate that hag. To borrow from Slick Kerry...bring it on!
