Bill O'Reilly Slams MSNBC's Sneaky Editing of Romney Wawa Clip
Two separate Fox News anchors on Wednesday took NBC and MSNBC to task for liberal media bias and outright deception. Bill O'Reilly slammed the egregious actions of Andrea Mitchell and her selective editing of Republican Mitt Romney.
O'Reilly played MSNBC's version of Romney mentioning the fast food outlet Wawa and the one that conforms to reality. The host mocked the liberal cable outlet for "doctoring" the tape. Video of both can be found below:
ANDREA MITCHELL, MSNBC HOST: Maybe this was Mitt Romney's supermarket scanner moment. But I get the feeling, take a look at this that Mitt Romney has not been in too many Wa-was on the roadside of Pennsylvania.
MITT ROMNEY (R), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: I was at Wa-wa's. I went in to order a sandwich. You press a little -- a touch tone key pad, or I did to touch that and you know this sandwich you press, this touch this, touch this. Go pay the cashier there is your sandwich. It's amazing.
MITCHELL: It's amazing.
What’s amazing, as O’Reilly stated, is “that [the] tape was edited by Ms. Mitchell's staff. Mitt Romney's point was much larger. About how the private sector, Wa-wa, operates as opposed to how the government does things.” What was cut was Romney's statement about “people in the private sector learned how to compete. It's time to bring some competition to the federal government and to get it smaller and ever respondent the customers which are you.”
Guest Lanny Davis, a former top aide to Bill Clinton, stated that Mitchell was probably “unaware”of the cuts." However, this pales in comparison to the hyperbole from another NBC anchor, Melissa Harris-Perry, who basically stated that Americans are racist for fighting the war on terror.
In her own words, Perry insisted “what America typically needs emerge and that is racial enemy. Americans in part identify who we are and who deserves what through our notions of whiteness and of the racial enemies that are the non-whites. And in his moment the new racial enemy became not so much Reagan's welfare queen who was imaginary but instead, this imagined other, that is somehow Muslim or Arab or Sikh or something else.”
She continued this inane liberal study group by saying “we became willing to stomach a kind of horrific racial violence in the name of national security. It's something that we have been willing to stomach as a people over and over again in our history.”
However, with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt, there seems to be little attention given paid to the event at NBC.
As Fox News' Bret Baier astutely noted, “NBC Nightly News is playing some serious catch-up, because the network news show has only mentioned the failed gun tracking program "Fast and Furious" once for a few seconds since the scandal broke last year. Keep in mind, Attorney General Holder has testified before Congress no less than nine times.”
An Attorney General of the United States is about to be held in contempt of Congress and NBC is just finding this out now? It is ironic when the most vilified news network in the country by the political left, also happens to be the only ones doing their job concerning reporting the state of governmental affairs. However, I guess NBC is so good, they can’t be possibly biased.

who watch MSDNC, and who had a nice belly laugh with Andrea and her friends, while believing you were watching someone with integrity, and to all you Mordlocks who have been watching NBC for the past year, blissfully cruising along thinking you're in touch with your world, I ask you now...how are you all feeling today? Still feeling smug about never watching that "bias" FOX news? Hmmm? Or are you starting to realize, to your horror, that it's your preferred network that has been using you like a bar of soap? Excellent point about how these "journalists" being used like a bar of soap. They come across like they are so elite and smart and yet, don't realize their network msdnc is using them to push their radical agenda. Sure, they could quit but, their paychecks tell them to stay on and make fools out of themselves. williams makes about 25 million and as sure andrea makes the same, or more. After all, she is a foreign correspondent and tarvels with Hillary

Well, to me, the Democrats, the BSers on ALL these networks, the intelligentsia on our college campuses, are like the underground living, light fearing Morlocks, who come out each night to prey on the non-curious, totally dependent, young, uninformed and clueless. The Eloi. (Think occupy wall street type, ok?)
Breitbart always reminded me of the protagonist in that book. Referred to only as "The time traveller", desperately trying to get the Eloi to open their eyes to what is being done to them. It's sad, but I'm all out of tears for these Eloi. They deserve what's coming their way.

My grandson who graduated from high school, smart, athletic, popular, and very respectful of others. Now, after 4 yrs. at the U of Minn swear the kid is a full-fledged commie. Totally different kid and a complete "know it all" It's pathetic and out of everyone who cares, hands..........

Her defense for butting into a conversation she wasn't part of and wrongly "correcting" somebody she didn't hear right, is that she didn't hear what they said.
When you're commenting on something, it's your job to understand what was said enough to make the comment valid. If you're going to share with the world that Romney might have had his "scanner moment" (eager that that was the case), then you need the diligence to see whether or not that was the case.

Mitt Romney did a good job describing the operation of the kiosk at Wawa. Our children can operate the ordering kiosks when ordering a custom made sandwich, soup, mashed potatoes, Mac-and-cheese, and so forth. Once the order is placed the kiosk does print your bar coded receipt which the customer then takes to the cash register, where they pay for the sandwich, even while waiting for the sandwich, Mac-and-cheese, soup, or whatever was order to be prepared.
Clearly Mitchell and fellow condescending, arrogant narcissists got their jobs by being so, as well as by being racist, bigoted, anti-life of innocent babies (pro-butcher of innocent babies via abortion), pro-divisiveness, pro-fomenting hatred and class envy, and pushing fabricated stores designed to stimulate hatred against those with good, upstanding values, especially against Conservatives, Pro-lifers, Christians, Pro-Israel persons, pro-Real traditional family supporters, etc.
It is sad that the universe is not more fair in that the likes of sick, perverted haters, like Mitchell, Matthews, Maddow, O’Donnell, Sharpton, and others, don't get the boot, but continue to maintain positions in which they can promote their brand of hatred, their vile, toxic pollution of the minds of their ignorant, mislead viewers and supporters.

you're absolutely right. It's a convenience store and it far outpaces other convenience stores (here in the mid-Altantic region) in every way, especially from a convenience standpoint. 7-Eleven, Sheetz, and though we don't have them here in Maryland, I've been in a Turkey Hill in southern Pa; none of them come close.
