CNN Kisses Up to Jimmy Carter and His 'Lessons of Faith'
Former President Jimmy Carter has gotten some love from CNN recently, and he received another warm interview Sunday morning from correspondent Martin Savidge. CNN touted Carter's "lessons of faith" he offered in his new book.
Savidge hailed the book as "inspirational" and told Carter "It's very deep in your faith."Anchor Deborah Feyerick hyped that the former President is "no stranger to writing books" and noted that he's written over two dozen. [Video below the break. Click here for audio.]
Savidge inquired about Carter's "Sunday school lessons" in the book that he offered during and after his presidency, and referred him to a particular instance when his life was in danger. "Did God save you?" he asked Carter.
"Do you think that as a society we've become too morally permissive?" Savidge asked later, teeing up the former Democratic President to preach against "prominent Christian entities" advocating military action against Iran, in an indirect reference to some Republican presidential candidates.

DEBORAH FEYERICK: Former President Jimmy Carter is no stranger to writing books. He's penned more than two dozen of them. His latest: "Through the Year with Jimmy Carter: 366 daily medications from the 39th president."
Was that title supposed to day "meditations" ?
I find it amusing that Carter has written two dozen books, yet who can name the title of even one of them prior to this?
Now, it appears that Prophet Jimmy is handing us his rules to live by. How sweet.

First, 366 daily medications explains a lot about Carter.
Second, I remember a couple of Jimmy's books:

Submarine personnel wear harnesses that hook in to the submarine when they are topside and underway. Was Jimmy not hooked in? Maybe procedures were different back in his day.
I don't think there were any harnesses on the

-not a book, more like a flowchart, or poster-brochure that indicates when it's okay to have faith and what, specifically it's okay to have faith in? I'm confused.
[Edit] The more I think about it, a flowchart or poster-brochure probably wouldn't fit all of my needs. I'll still take something suitable for framing for my office, but I'll also need something more portable for when I'm on the go. Maybe a pocket-sized version? Or even an Ap for my blackberry. Android and Apple Aps as well please.

Don't see CNN brought up "abortion" w/ Carter.

Hmm. I don't see here where CNN asked Carter about his views on abortion - about how he and President Bush pretty much agreed on that issue.
Surprise, surprise, surprise
President Carter (2005): "I never have felt that any abortion should be committed -- I think each abortion is the result of a series of errors" [..] "These things impact other issues on which [Mr. Bush] and I basically agree," the Georgia Democrat said. "I've never been convinced, if you let me inject my Christianity into it, that Jesus Christ would approve abortion."
And, once again, they didn't ask him about Charlie Wilson's war - the covert funding of the Mujahideen in the early effort to defeat the Imperialist Soviet Empire in Afghanistan during the late 1970's. That would be so interesting. I thought it was great. I also think that it is more than bizarre that the radical left and the national MSM have often only referenced President Reagan (who continued and upped the effort) in their like-minded wish to paint it as how Bin Laden got armed.

But quite often some of the most prominent Christian entities are the ones that encourage conflict as they are now speaking out openly in favor of maybe taking military action against Iran, for instance.
And it shows again why he screwed up in his term of office. The boy just dont get it.
