Post-Partisan Obama Hit With 'Express Train of Bile,' Piers Morgan Mourns

By Matt Hadro | September 29, 2011 | 12:22

A well-intentioned President Obama tried to transcend partisanship in Washington, but his efforts were derailed by an "express train of bile" – according to CNN's Piers Morgan, on Wednesday.

And Americans need ObamaCare because "Baboons take care of themselves better than we do," ranted Morgan's sharp-spoken guest, comedian Lewis Black.

[Video below the break. Click here for audio.]

"I mean Obama, to be fair to him, when he came in to power, he said look, I'm going to try to change all of this partisan crap that's going on," sounded Morgan. "What he's found is he can't at the moment. I mean, it's like he's up against this express train of bile."

Black ranted that "our biggest problem is health care. Baboons take care of themselves better than we do in this country." Morgan then stood up for Obama against his health care critics, saying he "just can't understand" why people despised Obama over his health care plan.

"He brought 30 million more Americans into a health care plan who couldn't afford it," Morgan touted. "And everyone says you suck as a president. I didn't get it."

A transcript of the segment, which aired on September 28 at 9:30 p.m. EDT, is as follows:

MORGAN: I mean Obama, to be fair to him, when he came in to power, he said look, I'm going to try to change all of this partisan crap that's going on. I'm going to try and do it a better way. What he's found is he can't at the moment. I mean, it's like he's up against this express train of bile. And he can't get anything done. So he's now having to get angry. Ironically, he's now taking a leaf out of your book.

BLACK: No, he finally had to stand up and go, enough is enough. Part of the problem was I think he picked that – the thing that we have – our biggest problem is health care. Baboons take care of themselves better than we do in this country. So by starting with health care, it just, like, everything went into place.

MORGAN: I just can't understand why he got so despised for doing that. He brought 30 million more Americans into a health care plan who couldn't afford it. And everyone says you suck as a president. I didn't get it. Why does that make you a bad president?

BLACK: Well, because they didn't sit down and talk to the Republicans and do whatever it is that the Republicans think that they wanted. And then – but look at this group. You've got Eric Cantor, you know, who's basically saying, you know, we're not going to give the money, the FEMA money out until we cut money out of the budget. That's – I mean, how nasty a person can you be?

And he got – Virginia got hit, he – you know, when they tried to do that to him, he voted against it. Come off it. You know, we've got to be able to speak to each other at some point. I don't understand what – I don't understand what people who are Democrats or Republicans hear.

With the way that the terms "post racial" and "post partisan" are thrown about by the left, they must not mean what I think they mean.

Submitted by antiObamunist on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 12:56pm.

Post partisans = people who have been re- educated to agree
komarad = fellow travelers in the media
Committee = attempt to subvert legal legislative action
Investment = borrowing and taxing
Savings to the government = raising taxes
Fair = redistribution
Justice = redistribution
Tax = redistribution
Partisan = democrat
The only thing post partisan about the one is his utter destruction of the democratic party. Its time for a new party correctly labeled as the ultra-partisan democratic party. How do you spell that in Russian?

Submitted by redfish on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 12:59pm.

Post-partisanship has the same connection to partisanship that post-modernism has to modernism. Basically the same thing, taken in a broader direction.

But you can attack Tea Party figures like Glenn Beck for doing the same thing, IMO; he says that the Tea Party is supposed to represent all Americans, liberals and conservatives, and is not about the Republican Party and that they'd support a Democratic candidate. Its the same type of double-talk that Obama does.

Nice try redfish but,

Submitted by antiObamunist on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 2:56pm.

Post partisanship has no connection to reality unless both parties are eliminated or combined. The Tea party movement is not SUPPOSED TO BE REPRESENTED, it is made up of individuals representing themselves. These individuals each bring the movement forward in their own way and ARE composed of dissatisfied dems/pubs, independents, libertarians and classic liberals. Modern liberals will have to be dragged kicking and screaming back to a system of government based on individual freedom.

Its about the Constitution stupid

I agree with you that

Submitted by redfish on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 3:41pm.

I agree with you that ultimately about the Constitution -- but when Glenn Beck or others say the Tea Party movement speaks for liberals as well as conservatives and will support Democratic candidates, they're stretching the truth. The Tea Party is ultimately a conservative movement and will always support Republicans over Democrats.

Its about the Constitution but?

Submitted by antiObamunist on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 4:32pm.

Ok I will try one more time.....

How about we say its about the Constitution AND what Glenn Beck and OTHERS say collectively is irrelevant. To try and say the Tea Party SPEAKS for any individual or cause or ideology is only trying to bring politics into a discussion about individual rights and freedoms held in our Constitution. The only time you will hear the Tea Party speak is individually at the ballot box. When political parties lose their way they will not be HEARD at the ballot box. However there are individual democrats who do support the Constitution and will vote accordingly. Its up to Democrats to take back their party if they wish to save it, until then many will vote with their feet.

Words have meaning so I will leave with a question.

What are conservatives trying to conserve and what are liberals trying to liberate? Never mind you can't fix stupid.

Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan

Submitted by Jack Bauer on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 12:41pm.

Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (yes, that's his FULL upper-crust name) HATED George Bush with venom.

He poured BILE over the President daily as editor of The Mirror.

One funny incident.

In 2003, President George W. Bush fell off a Segway, the two-wheeled, electric transportation device. Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan called him an "idiot." in the Mirror tabloid.

In 2007, Morgan himself fell off a Segway and, unlike President Bush, he broke three ribs.

Lewis Black

Submitted by misterbee241 on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 12:41pm.

His politics aside, i never found him to be funny or even amusing. I dont care for his brand or style of "comedy." He always reminded me of being one step outside the door of a mental hospital, being coaxed inside. And i dont mean that as a personal attack, that is truly how i see him. And i know some liberal comedians who are hilarious, Chris Rock being one of those. And Steve Harvey too. I dont agree with their politics, but i laugh at their humor.

If you're not getting flak, you're not over the target.

the difference

Submitted by Agnostic on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 12:49pm.

If a liberal politician says something the media believes them so of course when Obama says that he wants to change the partisanship in America the media fall all over themselves because this is what they want to hear.

To a non-liberal we know that what the media and Obama really mean by an end of partisanship is that they will get everyone to agree with them on the issues.

If a Republican or Conservative says something the media instantly is skeptical so of course when we say that the President and his administration are dividing America the media question our motives and come up with their usual list of bogeymen - racism, partisanship and narrow-mindedness.

You can also throw in blood-thirsty.

Remember you are talking about an ideology that wants the average and economically oppressed people to have all the power by giving the government nearly complete control.

Unfortunately, clue or not has nothing to do with power and the media and liberal politicians weild a lot of power.

It's clear Mr Morgan wants to now back that train up and reload it with a fresh pile of partisan crap hoping Americans have the memory of baboons.

Did not even move to the US until after the dust had settled from Obamacare. I doubt he has a clue what he's even advocating. Heck Pelosi didn't even have a clue about the enormity of what she was advocating - she just wanted the Government bureaucratic foot firmly in the door.

All Piers sees is a perceived end result. He's being willfully ignorant to the actual consequences this bill will actually have.

Post-partisan?

Submitted by Phryj1 on Thu, 09/29/2011 - 5:57pm.

Is that how you spin trying to force conservatives to break a major campaign pledge? Just because Obama breaks promises as if they never meant anything in the first place (mostly because they didn't), doesn't mean everyone should.

Also, isn't the timing just a bit suspect? Because it seems like they're saying that once Dems effectively have absolute power, they should get rid of the one mechanism that makes it possible to hold them accountable. For all its flaws, the 2 party system has at least slowed down the creeping radical leftism infecting this country. But they think we should just do away with it once they're in control? How convenient.

And what the heck happened to Lewis Black? I don't remember him being a liberal dipstick before. Being an Obamapologist just doesn't fit his shtick. I guess fitting in with the left-wing hivemind is more important than being a good comic.

Progressives seem to be completely averse to facts and logic. Apparently, reality has a conservative bias.
