Wow! Chuck Todd Says Grimes 'Disqualified Herself' By Refusing to Say If She Voted for Obama

Whatever liberal leanings he might have, sometimes the political animal in Chuck Todd just can't contain itself.  Take today's Morning Joe, where Todd host absolutely annihilated Alison Lundergan Grimes, Dem candidate for senator from Kentucky, for her refusal to say whether she voted for Barack Obama for president.

Todd ripped Grimes as "ridiculous," then twice declared that she had "disqualified herself."  Ouch!  Even Mika Brzezinski was embarrassed by Grimes' cringe-worthy performance, as you'll see in the screengrab.

Todd's comments came after the tape rolled of Grimes repeatedly ducking the question during her editorial board interview at the Louisville Courier-Journal.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: That's stupid. How could Alison Lundergan Grimes makes such -- what a rookie mistake! Just admit it and then say he screwed up. I distanced myself from him. I regret my vote. Just anything but don't treat us like we're stupid.

CHUCK TODD: The idea of -- sorry, even to say you regret your vote that would almost seem as disingenuous. But that is, and Kentuckians expect her to cast a tough vote on anything? Is she ever going to answer a tough question on anything? You want to be a U.S. Senator? If you can't say -- if you can't find a way to stand behind your party's president, you can disagree with him but you can't answer that basic question and you come across looking that ridiculous? I think she disqualified herself. I really do. I think she disqualified herself.
