MSM Ignoring Obama's 'Leadership At Its Best' Boast?

"Boast not thyself of tomorrow; For thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." Proverbs 27:1

President Obama is a great leader.  Really.  Just ask him. Seemingly ignored in the coverage of the president's ISIS speech last night was the moment when President Obama claimed that the ISIS threat was being met with "strength and resolve," then boasted that his strategy—and by extension he himself—represented "American leadership at its best."

Can anyone imagine truly great American leaders--from Washington to Lincoln to Reagan--feeling the need to claim that their plans represented "American leadership at its best?" And those leaders might have discussed American strength and resolve--but not their own.

When it comes to leadership, President Obama might be best remembered for his strategy of "leading from behind." Has he suddenly been transformed into Super Leader? There was not a peep on today's Morning Joe when the show rolled the tape of the president's presumptuous claim.

Will the MSM call President Obama to task for his superlative self-assessment?  We'll stay tuned.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: I know many Americans are concerned about these threats. Tonight, I want to you know that the United States of America is meeting them with strength and resolve. Our objective is clear, we will degrade and ultimately destroy ISIL. Through a comprehensive and sustained counterterrorism strategy. This is American leadership at its best. We stand with people who fight for their own freedom and we rally other nations on behalf of our common security and common humanity.
