NOW Prez: Ann Romney Lacks 'Life Experience' And 'Imagination'
Back up the bus! After bouncing Hilary Rosen beneath the Greyhound, President Obama and friends might have to throw it in reverse again over the person of key Dem coalition member Terry O'Neill. The NOW president suggested to Ed Schultz tonight that Ann Romney, along with Mitt, lacks "life experience" and "imagination" needed to understand most Americans.
For good measure, in the very same segment Dem congresswoman Maxine Waters called the Republican candidate for president Mitt "Rot-ney." Classy bunch! View the video after the jump.

TERRY O'NEILL: What would we be saying if Hillary Clinton [sic] had said this: that Ann Romney has never, has not worked for pay outside the home a day in her life? That's my understanding that's an accurate statement, and that raises the exact issue that Hilary Rosen was trying to get to, which is do Mr. & Mrs. Romney have the kind of life experience and if not, the imagination, to really understand what most American families are going through right now? I think that that was what Hilary was getting out, and so she left out the words "for pay outside the home."

The Obama campaign threw all hands at the damage control effort after Rosen made her comment. Axelrod even threw her under the bus, claiming that she belonged to CNN and not the DNC -- despite her WH visits.
And now the President of NOW picks the scab. This isn't some mid-level employee speaking out of turn. This is the head of the most well-known feminist organization.
Will Obama say anything again today? Probably not. They'll try to ignore it and if asked to respond, they'll say that they already did and it's time to "move forward."

They want to keep the "war on women" meme alive, but now some of their own have flapped their jaws against Ann Romney after 2008's "back off the spouses" rhetoric, they either have to keep the attacks up and risk alienating the suburban women's vote that gave them the edge in the last election or keep up the extremist feminist rhetoric to maintain their base. How they are going to pull that one off will be interesting (at the least) to see. If you alienate soccer moms, you also alienate a huge segment of voters who will not come back.
And I completely agree that this will get worse. We already have the racialist nonsense going on in the background, and I wonder as a Latino if the next Democrat play at divide and conquer is to get us riled against another minority for "most oppressed" or something similar. They tried it in the last election, but it didn't quite work.
They can't even come up with a viable campaign slogan that does not make their focus groups laugh in derision. Oh it is going to be a long summer.
