Schultz's Dem Guest: 'Take Out' Republican 'Occupiers'

By Mark Finkelstein | April 06, 2012 | 22:04

A  A

So much for civility.  With Ed Schultz goading her on, a Dem state senator from Ohio referred to Republican elected officials as "occupiers" and urged women among other things to use their "passion" to "take out" the "right-wing occupiers."

Nina Turner, the state senator in question, used language that would have caused an MSM outrage had a Republican used it to call for people to "take out" Dem "occupiers."  View the video after the jump.

Just imagine the MSM cries of 'incitement' had a Republican similarly sought to delegitimize elected Dem officials and urged supporters to 'take them out'! Listen to Turner's intemperate language.

ED SCHULTZ: Is this war on women alive in your state?  I mean, is it a political issue as it's being reported on the national level?

NINA TURNER: It is, Ed, and it really is unfortunate that we have occupiers of state houses and general assemblies these days that all they care about is prohibiting women and their rights to high-quality health care, reproductive care . . . I would ask the women of this nation to use their political power and their passion to clean state houses and governor's mansions across this country and take out the right-wing occupiers and replace them with elected officials who believe in equality and justice for all.

Submitted by Dave. on Fri, 04/06/2012 - 10:21pm.

Let's rock, comrade Turner.

After all, you stinking commie pukes have no clue how out-numbered you really are, as you're little more than government-educated (indoctrinated?), barely literate products of "Affirmative Action."

Anytime you want to rumble, you malodorous, low-life commie scum, please let me know, as my ancestors and contemporaries did not risk their lives, and in some cases lost same, for parasites like you and your mooch, leech, and tick constituents.

Good Grief, This Idiot Makes NewsBusters?

Submitted by stratman on Fri, 04/06/2012 - 11:00pm.

Honestly, Ohio has more than her fair share of dumbasses as politicians. Turner was the fool that took on incumbent US Congresswoman Marcia Fudge (who replaced the deceased Stephanie Tubbs Jones) and was judged a pariah even among her own Leftist kind. Tuner eventual bowed out after a great deal of ugliness publicly and privately.

Is there a contest to see which of these three women is crowned craziest, most polarizing Leftist of Cleveland, Ohio?

BTW, it was rumored Dennis Kookcinich was going to challenge Fudge for her seat after he was redistricted out of a job. The Powers That Be decided Dennis would get zero support if he went after Fudge, so he took on Marci Kaptur from Toledo and promptly lost. What chance did Turner see if Denny wasn't allowed? None, as she's not liked by The Powers That Be. On this point I agree. Turner is more a nutjob than Fudge, who's nutty enough on her own. (From Forbes Magazine: Idiot Politicians Propose Regulating Oil Companies With 'Reasonable Profits Board')

I think NewsBusters unnecessarily  elevated this dumbass Turner beyond her oxygen debt.

strat, I agree with you that she's a dumbass, but the point Mark isn't overrating her, he is making the point  that talk like this is standard fare (like Jimmy Hoffa's "take out these sons of bitches") from Democrats and gets a "ho-hum" from the media, while Republicans get accused of inciting violence by making a district (not a person) a "target."

Submitted by stratman on Sat, 04/07/2012 - 1:01pm.

I understood the point of the article. My post was a warning on encouraging a nobody to further desperate stunts.

The elevation I referred to is publishing Turner in NewsBusters. It's a Catch-22 wherein she is a moron who says something egregious and gets copy on NewsBusters which then incentivizes her to say more dumbass things for the publicity in order to further raise her profile to enable her to higher office. The same occurs with Bill Maher, who I think plays conservatives, including NewsBusters, like a violin sometimes in order to get free publicity while sticking it to "the man".

There are so many egregious things said by politicians around the United States that NewsBusters could post twice as many articles every day. Good sense keeps them off the web site. Do not feed the trolls.

Ohioans think Turner is a moron. Her own Party thinks she is a moron. I hope this is the last time we hear about this moron on NewsBusters. To post an article dedicated to Turner on NewsBusters is to elevate her beyond necessity and will only motivate her to even dumber antics. If the idiot finds out about the NewsBusters' article, she will use it to crow about how important she is, being recognized by NewsBusters, in her fight against eevil Rightwing Republicans. She will revel in and use the notoriety to elevate herself beyond what would have been otherwise. Right now, she can't escape her district. I hope it stays that way.

I would have preferred the article be focused on the Media that knowingly put the idiot Turner on camera rather than paying too much interest in Turner herself, who has nothing newsworthy going on in her district and life. The real story was the reporter and their boss who put an idiot on TV knowing this was all fake news designed to push a social agenda desired by the media people involved. Handling the story in this way minimalizes the political oxygen Turner receives while keeping the spot light on the manipulators in the media.

Double standard

Submitted by Nonanon on Sat, 04/07/2012 - 6:55am.

If liberals didn't have a double standard, they would have none at all.
The hate these people spew now daily has to be coming from something deeper than politics. It has to be a heart issue. The disconnect with truth and reality they exhibit is truly frightening.
One thought hit me as I read this, she, as we said, occupiers are a bad thing. I'm sure she feels/believes (as opposed to thinks) she is being cutting edge or cute or impressive, but isn't she using the term as a derogatory label?

Submitted by celator on Sat, 04/07/2012 - 8:56am.

This story connects to the story in the Washington Examiner (h/t Drudge) which describes the Communist Van Jones announcing his new tactic to overthrow the United States:The 99 Spring Offense:

From the article:"... the group said that “we were all inspired by the protesters of the Arab Spring who stood up to totalitarian governments, and inspired the Occupy movement here in America.”

"The plan for now is to hold protest training sessions around the nation next week. Over 900 are scheduled so far."

It's going to be a long, hot 1968 style summer, one we'll remember for a long time, and one that drives the last nail in the Obama re-election coffin.

By "reproductive care," you mean: "take care not to reproduce," don't you? You must, otherwise you wouldn't be so concerned about free contraceptives and unlimited abortions!
