Andrea Mitchell: Hillary Was Right--There Really Was A Great Right Wing Conspiracy
Andrea Mitchell famously said she had to catch her breath after Foster Friess's Bayer aspirin line last week. Well, call me a bit verklempt myself this morning, after Mitchell said on today's Morning Joe that:
1. She felt "nostalgia" for Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. 2. The opposition to Clinton was "vicious". 3. She hates to revert to the "great right wing conspiracy", but "there really was a group out there . . . There really was an enemy." Video after the jump.
Mitchell's breathtaking remarks came during a Morning Joe segment on a documentary about Clinton produced by Barak Goodman. Watch Mitchell buy into perhaps the biggest smear on conservatives of the last 20 years.
ANDREA MITCHELL: Well, I was struck by a couple of things. First of all, the nostalgia of seeing the '92 campaign, and the way, as Dee Dee Myers put it in your film that he viewed, Bill Clinton viewed, every opportunity as an opportunity to reclaim himself to come back, the "Comeback Kid" as he defined himself even after coming in second in New Hampshire.
But also the anger and the sort of vicious nature of the opposition. You had an interview, bit of an interview, with Lucianne Goldberg, who of course played such a big part in the unravelling of the Monica Lewinsky scandal. And she talked about, so viscerally, about how the wife was so horrible, and the wife had no sense of humor. Anyone who has known Hillary Clinton then and now knows that despite everything that they went through, that's not who Hillary Clinton is. And it was just this, I hate to revert to the great right wing conspiracy, but there was really a group out there who were not going to let him succeed, and he of course played in to that with his own mistakes. But there really was an enemy group out there who just wanted to take him down.

The only enemy Ms. Mitchell is in your limited bigoted mind.
I understand your deep seeded need to protect the far left and Obama agenda but you are on the verge of a psychotic episode. The conspiracy issue that you dream up is about as valid as “little green men”. The idea that anyone may disagree with your agenda means that they are scheming against you; I would suggest a conversation with a good psychiatrist and maybe a large dose of reality outside of the far left fantasy world in which you live. Try associating with other not in the same Kool-Aid club as yourself as a start.
Bill Clinton is the ONLY PRESIDENT in the past 80 years
Submitted by AlessandroMachi on Wed, 02/22/2012 - 3:35am.
Bill Clinton is the ONLY PRESIDENT in the past 80 years who actually lowered the yearly budget deficit each and every year he was in office, the only president in the past 80 years to do so.
Bill Clinton left office more popular than when he went in, again, the only president in the past 80 years to accomplish this feat as well.
Rather than be outraged by Andrea Mitchell's comment, why not just understand why it could be true.
First off, George Bush and his connections were absolutely offended and disgusted that they lost out to the governor of one of the poorest states in the country, Arkansas. George Bush even insulted Bill Clinton during one of the debates over how poor education was in Arkansas, that is how much contempt George Bush had for Arkansas and Bill Clinton.
Point two, George Bush and friends were absolutely stunned that after having a 93 percent approval rating just 20 months before re-election (and right after Desert Storm), that anybody could beat him.
Point three, Republican politicians were apoplectic when Bill Clinton started using the best ideas from BOTH SIDES of the political spectrum, and unfortunately, they felt Mr. Clinton was taking too much credit, and that really upset them.
And that last point would explain why of the original 12 Republican politicians who witch hunted Bill Clinton, at least HALF were having their own affairs and at least 2 or 3 stepped down when they were outed.
How many of you would admit in court you were having an affair if the only goal of the accusation was to tarnish your reputation? The Clinton Derangement syndrome that exists in about 40% of the ultra hard core republicans may just be the reason that Barack Obama wins this November.
You all don't get that there is a HUGE fracture in the democratic party over the fraud and corruption that was required to get Barack Obama past Hillary Clinton in 2008. You all would have been much better off with Hillary Clinton as president right now versus Barack Obama.
Santorum hit a home run when he ridiculed Bill Schiefer on Face the Nation by stating that nobody in the media questioned how 20 years of Barack Obama listening to anti america sermons could have affected Obama, yet now the media was going after Santorum over a comment a donor made.
That one moment, that one special moment when a republican politician actually had the audacity and conviction to start ridiculing the media for how they completely mishandled the 2008 democratic coverage has me seriously considering voting for Santorum if he is the republican nominee this fall.

Right wing conspiracy against the Clintons
Submitted by AlessandroMachi on Wed, 02/22/2012 - 3:52am.
If the republicans could win the presidency in November, but it would require reviewing the 2008 democratic nomination process and revealing how Hillary Clinton was unfairly treated by her own party, which might make her look like a martyr to the country, could you all handle that?
If you say no, then you just proved that there is a right wing conspiracy against the Clintons so hateful they would rather lose the election this fall then make Hillary Clinton look good so they could win the nomination.
Oh the irony of that.

There are literally dozens upon dozens of examples of how corrupt MSNBC's coverage of the 2008 DEMOCRATIC race was. If Republican candidates knew what those moments were, they could bring them out whenever the media went over the line in their generally biased coverage.
But then that would make Hillary Clinton look good, and apparently republicans with Clinton Derangement syndrome would rather lose to Obama then have to paint Hillary Clinton in a positive light to win the November election.

Pardon me, but do please tell me where in the following that there is a "vast" or a "conspiracy" or even any semblance of a "right wing" in this country:
There has been plenty of discourse over the least three days about the fiftieth anniversary of John Glenn's orbital flight (I was in eighth grade).
Let's review how the space program has fared against left-wing programs over the years.
Back in the mid-'60's, even as NASA was building the great Saturn V moon rocket, its annual budget hovered close to 5.25 billion. But even then health care and entitlements were about thirty-three billion, leaving our "land a man on the moon and return him safely to the earth" effort at close to 14% of the total.
Fast forward to 1993 and NASA, now at 14.5 billion, was taking plenty of heat from the socialized medicine types claiming it was hurting their budget so much you'd think that they would have been hard pressed for the health care/entitlements coalition to reach 24 billion. Try 770 billion. At that point the combination of health care/entitlements with NASA put the space budget at not even 2% of the total.
The following year would be definitive. NASA had dropped to 14 billion (under your buddy-boy Clinton) and fraud - just FRAUD - in Medicare and Medicaid was 16 billion, yet the socialized medicine apologists explained how small of a fraction of the total that the fraud represented!
By 1998, it was instructive to check out what NASA's budget would become 14% of the combined total with, and at 13 billion that figure would be close to 85 billion. Just add up the amount the country spent on illicit narcotics that year ($38 billion) with the amount of law enforcement dedicated to fighting narcotics (37 billion) and the amount spent on pornography that year (10 billion), and that's what NASA was about 14% of. (Congratulations, country.)
Yet that figure 85 billion was familiar that year for another reason - in the days before the break-up of Microsoft that would be Bill Gates' personal fortune.
If what happened between 1993 and 1998 had been extrapolated to 2006 NASA's budget would have been exceeded by both pornography and Bill Gates' annual income.
In 2009 fraud in Medicare was 60 billion, fraud in Medicaid was 60 billion and fraud in the Bernie Madoff scandal was another 60 billion. NASA, at 18 billion, was one tenth of fraud that year.
Where's the "vast" or "conspiracy" or "right wing" in all of that, Alessandro?????

Oh goody! I treated so many Democrats that year for acute depressive episodes that I had to add another psychiatrist on LT (locum tenens) to deal with the overload. Then came 2000 and the BDS (really acute depressive episode) patients came crying back when Sore Loserman went down the toilet. And for 2004, it was a wonderful end of the year as the same old suspects showed up on my door yet again gnashing their teeth and wailing that Kerry had actually won because the exit polls said so.
I love the VRWC thing. It brings out the more psychotic among the liberal denizens. Good for business in my psychiatry practice side.

Until and unless the GOP and the wimpy staffs of our "honorable" congressmen, speak up and shout from the roof tops what is really true, and often enough, the dems will hold the 'high' ground (as far as the media is concerned).
There should be a loud and immediate response, and often by many, everytime a dem says something stupid (ok, everything they say is stupid) there should be a rebuttle, and no backing down from the fight!

This coming directly from the source (Dems and msm) who successfully convinced the country that the economic crash in 2008 was all the fault of George W. Bush. These same people have successfully covered up Obama's failings and transgressions his entire time in office. What did gasoline cost when Obama assumed office? What does it cost now? When gas prices spiked under Bush, it was all his fault and people were "suffering" to no end. Gas spikes under Obama, apparently, harm nobody really--not to any significant degree. The fact these gaseous minions of the poltical left have the nerve to get on tv and talk about a "vast right wing coinspiracy" makes me nauseous.

Some Things You Were Wrong About
Contrary to popular perceptions, things aren’t always what they appear to be, especially when it comes to politics.
Politicians and media commentators have a unique ability to reinterpret reality so that, by the time they’re finished with their spinning, it’s difficult to distinguish the real from the fantastical and truth from baldfaced lies. They don’t change what’s real and what’s true but they often succeed in so muddying the waters that the average observer doesn’t see the difference between reality, truth, and prevarication.
A classic case in point is former President Bill Clinton who apparently confused his fellow Democrats to such an extent that lying under oath was not an impeachable offense serious enough to find him guilty as charged. Every Democrat senator, even those who had denounced his actions, voted in 1998 to acquit.
If nothing else, Democrats stick together.
Obama White House chief flack, Jay Carney, knows the Chicago art of deliberate confusion, obfuscation, and subterfuge as if he were born to the task.
Despite all contradictory evidence, Carney made the startling claim at a press briefing that the president didn’t really reject the Keystone XL pipeline. The proposed project, which would have funneled millions of barrels of Canadian oil into the United States and relieved the price pressure on heating oil and gasoline, failed because those rascally Republicans made it impossible for Obama to approve Keystone.
And here we cynics thought Obama was catering to his wacko environmental buddies!
Even ABC’s Jake Tapper was incredulous. Tapper asked Carney, ”How can you say that . . . if the President turned down the Keystone pipeline? And you blame the Republicans for making it political.”
The White House Press Secretary’s byzantine explanation for his reality-bending is too complex to summarize here.
MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell is as committed a Clintonian supporter as Nina Burleigh but, instead of offering the 42nd president oral sex like Burleigh, offered an amazing, retroactive defense of the Clinton clan.
Commenting on PBS’s surprisingly-honest production of “Clinton,” Mitchell, who never encountered a Clinton she didn’t love, said she felt “nostalgia” for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, denounced the opposition to Clinton as “vicious,” and bemoaned the actual existence of Hillary’s fabrication of a “vast right wing conspiracy. . . There really was an enemy.”
No one expects objectivity from most MSNBC commentators but that political paranoia, articulated without a shred of proof of the existence of any conservative conspirators, is so far over the top that one suspects Mitchell was reciting from the Clinton playbook.
How any conspirator could plant semen on Monica Lewinsky’s blue dress, could inspire the Comeback Kid to parse the meaning of the verb “is,” or could make Mitchell’s hero lie under oath is beyond me, unless that Democrat thing about fudging reality is considered.
That same studied unreality is evidently a major factor in how the Obama administration is dealing with the unemployment problem and the American economy. With little concrete evidence to support either contention, we’re told both are improving, a view comparable to VP Biden’s characterization of 2010 as the year of a “Summer of Recovery.”
The president keeps boasting about somehow creating millions of jobs with his $787 billion stimulus although no one seems to know what and where they are. . .
