Kathleen Parker: 'Everybody's Going To Say I'm An Obama-lover. Whatever.'
Somebody check the calendar. Aren't we almost in 2012? Yet there's Kathleen Parker on Chris Matthews's weekend show today, still gushing over Barack Obama like a member of the liberal media in the deepest throes of 2008 Obama-adulation.
After extolling Obama's foreign policy approach as "cool" [mangling a basketball metaphor along the way], Parker defiantly declared: "I know everybody's going to say [I'm] an Obama lover. Whatever." Video after the jump.
I'll be back with a transcript, but in the meantime watch Parker's embarrassing true-political-love confession. And note how Matthews has to come to her rescue when she muddles her basketball metaphor.
Note: in the screengrab, Parker is demonstrating Obama's cool, "lacking-in-chest-beating, way."
Incredibly claiming that it was a "banner year" for Obama, Matthews began his year-end awards show by inviting panelists to choose among the president's greatest triumphs. For Parker, it was an embarrassment of riches.
KATHLEEN PARKER: I actually think this is a hard question, because so many of these are [inaudible.] But the three foreign-policy ones are really part of this Obama way of doing things, and I don't know, I think, Osama Bin Laden is an easy choice, but it's an important --
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Is this the Chicago way?
PARKER: Well, you know, it's kind of the cool, and lacking-in-chest-beating way. You know what I mean? But we didn't invade another Muslim country when we dealt with Libya, and with Osama Bin Laden, it was the way he shoots a ball across the court. I know everybody's going to say she's an Obama-lover. Whatever. He did it well. It was a net shot. You know, he got it done --
MATTHEWS: Swish.
"It was a net shot"? Oy! Presumably Parker was going for "nothing but net." Suggestion: lay off the sports similes . . . if you don't know sports.

PARKER (on Obama's foreign policy) : "Well, you know, it's kind of the cool, and lacking-in-chest-beating way. You know what I mean?"
I have no idea what she's talking about. In last week's interview with Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes, Obama declared that only 3 Presidents had greater foreign policy accomplishments than he. Two of those were Lincoln and FDR, who led the nation through our two biggest wars.
That's not just "chest-beating'; that's unabashed narcissism.

Didn't Barack give Kathleen a ride on the big silver bird from Chicago to D.C. right after the election? If so that would explain part of the Obama-adulation. The woman is nothing more than a RINO. Always has been and always will be. But I do have a question. How successful was Eliot?

"it was the way he shoots a ball across the court"
That's known as a "pass" in basketball.
And I really don't care of she loves Obama. Just stop cashing in on the phony conservative schtick.
I know coming out as a liberal would ruin what's left of her career, but at some point the unethical behavior needs to stop.
Kathleen Parker is not a RINO

Kathleen Parker is not a RINO. Even a RINO could not support the imposter in the White House. An independent without a brain can support BHO.
A RINO can't stand his Marxist policies.

Obama did not "end the war" in Iraq.
Submitted by NeoKong on Sun, 12/18/2011 - 11:54am.
That war was over before he took office. George Bush ended it with no help from any Democrats. As far as the troops leaving all that was also negotiated BEFORE Obama came into office. It was called the Status of Force Agreement or SOFA and it dictated a clear date for the removal of U.S. troops.

Apparently Kathleen doesn't read her own paper.
Never have I seen a variation of the word "unexpected" in news reports more oftten than under this president. Nobody seems to guess right on anything; be it the number of first-time unemployment filers, the depth of the recession, the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, or the attempt of the Iranian government to fill the power vacuum in Iraq. Go figure...

Gee, I thought the WaPo's version of a conservative was a Mitt supporter. Of course not; she does love Obama and like all Obama lackeys, she's only pushing Romney in the GOP race now, but if he wins they will reload and take aim at Mitt.
The GOP’s death wish
By Kathleen Parker, Published: December 9
“Anybody but Mitt” has become a familiar mantra throughout the Republican primary campaign. It is also weird and self-defeating. Republicans apparently want to nominate anyone except the one person who can defeat Barack Obama...

Dear Kathy and Chrissy,
Here are the secrets to Obama's few foreign policy successes that you will NEVER see in the MSM:
1) Continue the military strategies of your predecessor - the one you ran against, remember? - and rely on media sycophants like you two to not only never mention it, but work to flush it down the memory hole.
2) Arrange to have a loyal opposition in the Congress - i.e. Republicans, so when you do something that is in America's interest (or if not, at least morally supportable), they will support you: see Libya. Just as important is the corollary: have the traitors and turncoats who put party ahead of country on your side.

What a great defense. Notice how even Liberals don't want to be identified as "liberal". I suppose if you don't hold Obama accountable for his record, then yeah; he's doing a great job. Obama's managing a train wreck by standing in the middle of it with a wheel in his hand saying, "Look what I discovered!"

sigh,.... she's the New York Times idea of a good conservative,
1. not very conservative, in fact, name a position she supports that IS conservative...
2. she can be counted on to bash her supposed friends on a timely routine basis.
3. she can be counted on to support the liberal side in every argument, with a moronic claim, it's REALLY a conservative position.
4. she openly ridicules and bashs the conservative base in an epic display of elitist ivy league snobbery to make a Kennedy proud.
5. she only knows, and associates with liberals..
6. attends all the "right" cocktail parties.
7. she was handpicked to "represent" the conservative side by liberals so far left, they'd burn JFK for his anti-communist stances in this day and age.
8. she only supports the liberals favorite choice republican during the primaries, then jumps ship to support Obama.
9. she enjoys being a token, and begs for doggie treats with every sycophantic column to the left.
10. conservatives can't stand her, ignore her advice to lose, which only tells liberals, she must be a good conservative. If we liked her, they'd drop her so fast, she'd lose her hair in the sonic boom.
She's a New York token, the worst kind of Quisling, she'd have dropped the pretense long ago, except the money in betraying an entire movement by bearing false witness seems to pay well.

Now I'm not familiar with Kathleen Parker, but she seems very talented. She deserves her own show. I'll wager that she hosts, or perhaps co-hosts, her own program on a network, perhaps a cable network, in the near future.
As someone who can spot talent a mile away, I'll bet that a cable news network such as CNN, The Most Trusted Name in News, will hire her before the competition grabs her. Her show, of course, would be a resounding success.
p.s. I hope I'm right, and my luck changes, as I could use the winnings from a bet. I can't understand it, but despite my ability to spot fresh talent, I haven't won a bet in many years. ♥ :-) ♥
