Sharpton On Penn State: 'Muckary' We Much
The Penn State scandal couldn't be more serious. Can't MSNBC find someone more serious than Al Sharpton to comment on it?
On his show this evening, Sharpton had another language run-in reminiscent of his "resist we much" moment. This time, Sharpton mangled the name of Mike McQueary, the suspended Penn State assistant coach. Sharpton rumbled, bumbled and stumbled before eventually pronouncing it "Muckary." Video after the jump.
Check out Sharpton's latest struggle with the English language.
AL SHARPTON: We lead tonight with breaking news in the horrific child sex-abuse scandal at Penn State. Late this afternoon, news about the assistant coach, who told a grand jury that he witnessed the boy being raped in the shower at Penn State football locker room, but failed to stop it. His name is Mike, is Mike, uh, Muckary, who, uh, whuh, has been allowed to continue as a coach until now.

Who cares?

I don't care what Sharpton has to say about anything.
I don't care what Penn State does about Paterno.
I don't care about college sports at all (although I will watch college hockey).
Sports is fun, but totally unimportant.
Got that? UNIMPORTANT.
One team wins, another loses. END OF DISCUSSION.
While spending several years as an OTR driver, I decided that the easiest way to determine the intelligence of any city was an inverse ration between the population and the number of sports talk radio stations.
More than one station for every million residents PROVES its a stupid city.
yeah, really who cares?

He is dumb no matter what his color. Nobody mentioned race but you. We are still allowed to dislike blacks for their racisism, speech & politics.

May I say, on behalf of all of here at NB, we are so grateful that you showed up to educate us on what's unimportant.
Maybe you could provide us all (including the bloggers) with a list of what you think IS important, and we could limit our discussions to those subjects.
Or, better still, here's an idea: If you don't like the topics here, go start your own website! Then you can talk yourself silly about whatever you want.
End of discussion. Got that?

There are certainly other reasons, but I like to think the ownership of sinking stations like MSNBC and NBC are contributing to it.

USA and SYFY

That's why they put the season kickoff of the NFL on those two channels and about 3-4 others while NBC itself was giving DuhOne undeserved airtime for him to do some ranting after being refused an audience when he demanded Boehner to make time for him.
That was a helluva great idea to do that, honestly and NBC/Universal knew which way the bread was being buttered when it came to the NFL, and you KNOW that had to chap DatOne's butt to no end. USA and SYFY still have a few decent shows (plus the re-runs of shows from earlier times like SG1, TNG, on SYFY for example or the ones with intrigue like Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, NCIS re-runs, and more on USA).

I think the most difficult part of listening to Al (aside from the stupid content of what he says) is that he talks (well, yells) like he's leading a mob somewhere in NYC.
Is there a filter that could be added to his audio to make it sound like he's talking through a bullhorn?

Both Sharpton and Jesse Jackson slur their words and get basic grammar and syntax completely screwed up. Jackson is often completely incomprehensible. Yet, they fancy themselves as public "spokesman" for various issues. It's very odd.
