AP Headline: 'Colorado Tax Defeat A Signal Of Voters' Sour Mood'
"Some thoughts on those angry voters. Ask parents of any two-year-old and they can tell you about those temper tantrums: the stomping feet, the rolling eyes, the screaming . . . The voters had a temper tantrum last week."-- ABCs' Peter Jennings, November 14, 1994, explaining the Republican congressional victory.
Looks like the Associated Press has had its Peter Jennings temper-tantrum moment. AP's explanation, as per the headline it chose for its story, of the overwhelming, 30-point margin by which Colorado voters rejected a tax-raising referendum? Coloradans were in a "sour mood." More after the jump.
In the liberal media mindset, mature, sensible citizens will vote for higher taxes, and by extension, for Democrats. If they don't, they must have taken temporary leave of their senses. The notion that people, in full control of their rational faculties, might be opposed to higher taxes and more goverment, simply doesn't compute in the MSM medulla.

in an environment of uncontrolled government growth and spending. It's no better than throwing gasoline on a fire.
Wall Street brokers are put in jail for handling client funds the exact same way that this government handles tax revenue. Simply passing a law making it "legal" is BS and we need to hold these criminals responsible for their actions.
And I'm not talking about at the ballot box only; they need to be exposed to immediate "votes of confidence" with restricted authority to handle tax revenue imposed if voted "no confidence."

I live in Colored Red and I would add that the other big reason for this vote is that
we don't have any more money, and we aren't real impressed with the results of our past expenditures for education.

Maybe the people of Colorado finally figured out that...

Americans weren't having a temper tantrum in 2006 and 2008 when the elected democraps to Congress and the Presidency, but whenever republicans get elected and take control or their rational policies are supported by Americans, then it's temper tantrums, anger, extremism, terrorism, sour. The democrap media is projecting its own sour taste as it sees another tsunami coming to take away their socialist affirmative action Presidency and the democrap Senate in 2012.

Then they went blue (thanks to the shadow party). Once you go blue you gotta come back! Suck on it a while Colorado!

...just a quick reminder to all, including CO, where the real blue/red votes are.
Can you guess why the areas of blue are blue?

USA Today has been putting this map out for years.
Has some great tools on the side for trends/demographics.
Always look forward to it as it tells a huge story about the make-up of our country.

It infuriates me every time I see it, too.
Virtually the entire southern border; the Mighty Mississippi is a sea of blue running through the red, and of course, Florida....we've been overrun by snowbirds (I loathe them, they've ruined this paradise).

I would like to become a snowbird. But I promise to be a conservative snowbird. I come from a cold place in Winter (not as cold as some but cold nonetheless) and promise not to bring any crappy liberal crud from my home state: The People's Socialist Republic of Maryland and pledge to extoll only conservative values. To me the warm paradise of Fla beckons with its castle doctrine and CCW permits :)

When people go through the proper channels for change and vote on what they care about, that's childish and throwing a temper tantrum. But when you just camp out in a park screaming at others and crapping on the street, that's mature.
Speaking of which, my father-in-law lives near Atlanta, and he said that when the Tea Party wanted to have a protest in the same park when the OWS folks are, they were told no, so they didn't. They went through the proper channels to get permission and then respected the decision that was made. These yahoos didn't ask for permission, they just moved in and then fight with the cops when they're told to leave.

I live north of Atlanta and can tell you the same things are going on here with these squatters. They were run out of Woodruff Park last wkend and are planning to come back this weekend with a list of DEMANDS!!! Btw, just in time to grab some tv/$$$$ Jesse Jaaahhkkson jr. arrived today and said the OWS Atlanta crowd was reminiscent of the......you guessed it, the civil rights movement. My wonderful Bell's Two Hearted IPA spewed out me nose........what a tool.

Just wait until 2012 and see what kind of temper tantrum the taxpayers throw. And all the wailing by the democrats will be sweet music to my ears. Taxpayers have just about had enough of our money being wasted and given to political cronies mostly by democrats.
we have had enough of your lies and deceit. No longer will the democrats have a free hand in destroying the country that most of us love. We are going to throw most of you out on your ears. Unions, democrats, MSM and Hollywood get ready for the drubbing that is about to happen.

I look at it as the Colorado voters as well as the majority of American's have become enlightened, engaged and informed.
This has upset those who have relied upon their journalist skills to miss inform and deceive the public.
The sour mood and temper tantrums are being acted out by the left mean stream media and OWS protesters.
