Schultz: Ryan 'Inciting Civil War'; Grayson: Republicans 'The Real Killers' Like O.J.
By Mark Finkelstein | October 26, 2011 | 22:15
Q. Faced with President Obama's difficult re-election prospects, is there any depth to which the desperate liberal media won't sink? A. Apparently not.
Take Thursday evening's Ed Show. Schultz accused Rep. Paul Ryan of "inciting civil war" and suggested Republicans might "want violence to take place in our society." Not to be outdone, thankfully former Florida congressman Alan Grayson called Ryan and Republicans "the real killers," akin to O.J. Simpson. Video after the jump.
I'll be back with the transcript, but in the meantime, watch Grayson and Schultz scrape the bottom of the barrel.
Question to Steve Rattner, Obama's former auto czar and Wall Street mover-and-shaker: why aren't you ashamed to appear with these two bottom dwellers?
After playing a clip of Rep. Paul Ryan describing the way President Obama is "sowing social unrest and class resentment," here was Schultz.
ED SCHULTZ: It's outrageous what that guy just said! He is inciting civil war! That's what he's doing. You take his comments, and you see exactly what they mean. It's almost as if Republicans want violence to take place in our society.
Schultz then brought in Alan Grayson.
ALAN GRAYSON: For Paul Ryan or any Republican to talk about this, to talk about the president inciting the politics of division is much like O.J. saying he's going to devote his life to finding the real killer. They're the real killers.

Apparantly Grayson is too delusional to even know it, especially after getting his head handed to him in the last election. The Fargo Fat-ass?????????????............well, as long as he's got a venue to showcase his idiocy, he'll keep doing it.
Think about some of these Dem. Reps........Grayson, der Weinerschnitzel, Maxine 'Muddy' Waters, and a whole list of others............what a bunch of pathetic, embarrassing, disingenuous, sleazy, intellectual lightweights who would be (and probably ARE) totally useless in the 'real' world.

They forsee the pending violence from the Occupy Wall Street group who the Democrats have tied themselves to and they are trying to shortcut the blow back by trying to make out the GOP as the dangerous ones.

First it was Michael Moore saying the police were rioting in Oakland. Now Special Ed and the other loser are saying the GOP want a civil war. So when the OWS loons begin their real violence, Shultz and his ilk will say, "I told you so". Pathetic, but this is to be expected from a bomb throwing lunatic like Shultz.
On a side note, why is Special Ed on at 8:00pm instead of 10:00pm? Seems odd...Greta routinely destroyed him in the ratings now O'Reilly will completely embarrass him.

I was thinking the same thing. Best way to deal with the inevitable (additional) violence the protesters will soon engage in is to find some way to blame it on the GOP. That way they can say that this is what the GOP wanted all along and blame them for something they were never even involved with.
I guess Ed missed this:

...large chunks of our population (conservatives, business owners, investors). Isn't THAT inciting hate and fomenting violence? Can't that lead to a civil war?
Not that I'd expect a single person on the left to own up their own hate-provoking rhetoric. Even if there was a full-blown civil war, the left will do everything they can to duck blame and try to blame it all on the right, the middle/upper class, the corporations, and not take responsibility for the lies, smears, and resentment left-wing media figures spew towards those they disagree with every single day.
Progressives seem to be completely averse to facts and logic. Apparently, reality has a conservative bias.

It would be uproariously funny, if it weren't so sad and scary. That someone could listen to that clip of Ryan and come away with the statement that it was 'Outrageous..and a call to violence and civil war' is grotesque. Noone could be that stupid or ignorant in all the senses, I cannot believe the hyper-partisan BS that emanates from this man's mouth. And Grayson? Loser!!!! Go home and soak your head, worthless punk.

There will come a time in which they will not just say they might want violence. They will lie on whole events in some cities that there was violence, babies died and where eaten by wolfs, republicans and Jews in a massive bloody orgy. There will come a time in which they will not be hypothetical inciting it will be full out lies that they have taken of arms and need to be hunted down, taken from their homes and hung. And be dead serious of it and then blame Obama for not doing it. When someone does do a murder assassination of someone it they will praise them and then blame republicans for not bowing when they had their chance and then want more blood.
This is the enemy and no playing nice will make them not want blood.

Even amongst those among us who have their heads buried in the ideological sand can't help but notice the irony in Ryan's absurd statements. Poor Ryan, Obama gave up on being a willing patsy to the republicans with his 'lets work together and compromise' approach in favor of a more confrontational one. You know, the one the republicans use. Every compromise, even ones that the republicans themselves asked for, offered by Obama was rejected. The word compromise meant one things to the repubs--if Obama tries to do anything we'll block it. If he tries to compromise by doing our things well call him a partisan obstructionist and on and on it goes.
As to sowing fear and hate, the conservative media and their lapdog politicians literally wrote the handbook on that.

You know, usually I annoy the troll, but since you equated homeschooling with stupidity, I'm going to take exception to the rule here. The public school system SUCKS, and I plan to give my kids the best education there is. I'm insulted that there are people that go through the same stereotypes regarding homeschooling. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Submitted by killa37 on Thu, 10/27/2011 - 11:08am.
Well, bret, I apologize if I insulted you...........but I'm not ashamed of myself, and I'll tell you why. Over here in Hawaii - and especially where I live, on an outer island, there are only 3 high schools, and the closest one is some miles away. They also have a reputation for being pretty mediocre. Having said that, both of my sons graduated from the public schools here (Hawaii is SUCH a lilb/Democrat stronghold that it's also known as The People's Republic of Hawaii), so I'm well aware of how things go on that level.
But there are a LOT of people around here who homeschool their kids, for whatever their reasons are, and I know a lot of them too. I was involved in youth sports for over 15 years, so I've been around a LOT of young people.........and I'm still an active surfer, so I still know a lot of young people.
So, to get to my point - since you accused me of stereotyping. I know kids and young people from the public school system that are successful, articulate, smart, sharp, and responsible.....................and I also know some that aren't.
Now, just so that I don't have to re-write my last sentence - the same thing goes for the homeschooling kids and young people.
The only thing that I could say about the homeschooling is that I have noticed that a percentage of these kids seem to be behind the curve when it comes to 'social skills', since they often don't do a lot of inter-acting with various other kids during that period of their formative lives..........................but I know that the same could be said about some public school kids too.
And before I would ever accuse any public school of 'sucking'.............I'd take a good look at my position as a parent, and my kid's position as a student, and our/their ability to be a good parent/student, and do the work, and be well behaved, and be responsible, and get through the whole school requirement. Personally, I couldn't wait to get out of high school and hit the real world, but I know that high school is a big deal to a lot of kids. One of my sons got multiple college scholarship offers - as a graduate of a publilc school here in Hawaii that 'sucks' (he now has a Masters Degree in finance, economics, and business - and is using that degree to further his career), and I know a number of other young people who went on to college from the same school system;
On the other hand, my niece went to my alma matter over in Honolulu - yes, the same 'highly touted' private school that graduated Barry Soetoro Barack Hussein Obama - and she has a part-time as a hostess in a bowling alley cafe, and is now going back to some technical school to learn something else besides 'liberal arts'.
So, once again - I didn't mean to insult you.................the lib poster was the target, mainly because he is a typical arrogant lib who is constanly making statements that make little or no sense, and can't be backed up - but that doesn't seem to stop him from continuing to do it. Maybe the guy should run for office or get a job with the Obama REGIME................if he actually wants a job.
But one more thing - as I said, I'm NOT ashamed of myself for anything I've said - there's a reason why I said it.

Actually, I know some (younger) teachers over here - young men and women who were actually on my soccer teams when they were kids - who are quite dedicated and good for the students. I think the 'system' has a tendancy to stifle that out of them over time, which is too bad. I love kids and young people, but I know I'd last about three days as a teacher, because I wouldn't be taking any crap from any side, and I also wouldn't be spreading BS if it was on the agenda, which it is. But I'll guarantee you that the kids would be more interested and involved in my class than in most, if not all, of their other classes - because they'd have to be sharp, alert, and involved. And the ones who wanted to cause any problems would be out of there - KABOOM!!
So how did your kids turn out??? I'm going to guess that they're fine young people.........so who gets the credit?? You?? Them?? The school?? When I was a kid, I was a helluva lot more attentive to being accountable to my parents - and in that way, to myself - than I was to the school.

credit first : I'd say we (school/parent) both do in varying degrees. My kids entered school already reading and doing a bit of their letter work.
The elementary school classes in WA State I volunteered in - all 6 yrs. I did reading groups and helped with circle time. Probably took the job of a para-educator but no one was telling on me.
The elementary/middle schools in Connecticut were awful. No class control, chaos. Teachers were seldom in touch with what was happening in the class. Sometimes they weren't even in the class. I spent a lot of time re-teaching English and history lessons and pushing my kids to do far beyond what was "expected". I was aghast at what passed as A work.
(I am also blessed with a husband that is a math and science whiz so he took the time to teach it "from the ground up" helping with doing more than just memorizing equations so they would develop a core understanding.)
High School back in WA State has been a mixed bag. We've had 2 or 3 memorable GOOD teachers that have been helpful. We've also had some actually removed from the school for some deplorable things. But it's a similar story - no class control, minimal expectations.
How did they turn out? My kids are in AP/University classes now and are killing the standardized tests. My eldest graduated in the top 10% of her class and is now in college.
I am not sure if I wish we could afford private school.... We didn't opt for full homeschool because we have a crapload of money being taken out in property taxes and we both felt that it was best we take advantage of what we were paying for. Plus all my kids are in band and drama (which we liberally donate time and money to). We've done ok with what we've been dealt and I loved spending time with my kids. They are my world. Don't even get me started on the liberal indoctrination. That's a whole different can of worms.

The Democratic Party may as well merge with the Communist & Marxist Parties, they all represent the same version of what they think America should look like. They all represent what is disgusting in America today. It's pathetic the way the uninformed, uneducated little minions that make up the democrat party (Liberals,Socialists,Marxists and communists) have allowed their party to sink so low. Any of the Democrat leaders could easily switch to the communist or Marxist party with little to no notice, they are all one in the same now. Dems have allowed their party to be hijacked by Marxists and Communists without any objection, and now they all follow their Marxists leaders like sheep to slaughter and still refuse to denounce what they've done to the party.
As bad as the Democratic Party has become, even worse is the gutter dwelling media in America, who have chosen to be irrelevant on any issue they report. They no longer have any respect from the people except for the sewage rats they pander to.
However, as is all things bad, these media lowlife's instead of telling the truth and reporting the facts, have voluntarily chosen to twist any semblance of the facts around until they resemble their own version of 'facts' just to prove their point that all things evil can be traced back to the Republicans. In essence they fabricate the news they report, communist USSR would have been proud of all these 'good' little comrades like Schultz, Olbermann, Matthews, Maddow, and so on.....
From Joan Walsh on the Repub obstructionism
Submitted by coin of the realm on Thu, 10/27/2011 - 1:54pm.
Obama is finally accepting as reality and jettisoning his naive, lets work together approach that has gotten him nowhere.
McConnell makes a perfect villain because, in fact, his obstruction didn’t start last week. He’s been forcing his caucus to stick together to thwart the president since before he was sworn in. As GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham told the New York Times in March 2010, McConnell summoned his dispirited Republican caucus to the Library of Congress two weeks before Inauguration Day, when the president’s approval rating stood above 70 percent.
“We came in shell-shocked,” Graham recalled. “There was sort of a feeling of ‘every man for himself.’ Mitch early on in this session came up with a game plan to make us relevant with 40 people. He said if we didn’t stick together on big things, we wouldn’t be relevant.” On healthcare reform, McConnell himself told the New York Times: “It was absolutely critical that everybody be together because if the proponents of the bill were able to say it was bipartisan, it tended to convey to the public that this is O.K., they must have figured it out. It’s either bipartisan or it isn’t.”
In an Atlantic profile of McConnell, Josh Green observed: “Obama could not evolve into a post-partisan leader, because McConnell wouldn’t let him. He pegged Obama as either too narcissistic or too naive to recognize that his promise of a harmonious new age was beyond his capacity to deliver. Harmony is easily withheld.” Former Utah Sen. Bob Bennett, a McConnell ally, compared the minority leader to a saboteur. “McConnell knew the places to go, around the tank, and loosen a lug bolt here, pour sand in a hydraulic receptacle there, and slow the whole thing down,” Bennett told Green.
Despite all of this evidence of McConnell’s bad faith, the president continued to try to make him a partner. It seems as though something snapped after the debt-ceiling debacle, when public opinion polls showed even Republican-leaning independents thought Obama should have fought back harder against Republicans.

The libs call it 'obstructionism' when they don't get their way, and their definition of 'bi-partisan' is when the other side gives in to them. I've got to give McConnell, and others, credit where credit is due for NOT giving in to Boy Barry and his agenda - and more and more people are learning and discovering - finally (and many of them WERE Obama supporters) - that Obama's agenda is NOT in the good interests of the foundations and beliefs of this country...........and he is STILL proving it on a daily basis.
Obama is no 'post' anything type of 'leader'............other than being a 'post turtle'. And the sooner that the USA becomes 'post Obama', the better.

I guess we all missed the nuance in "I won", right?

Every time that bunch of nancyboys bring up McConnell saying Bam-Bam's got to be defeated (Did they think this was student council level politics? WTF?) SOMEBODY ought to draw a DIRECT LINE to Obama's petulant opening salvo in January 2009 of "I won" and "Elections have consequences" and ask how THAT was ANY LESS COMBATIVE.
What a bunch of over-trophied momma's boys, really!

Or sitting at the middle of the table between the two parties during the healthcare discussions, and taking up MORE time than anybody (I don't call him Boy BlahBlah for nothing), with his middle finger up against his temple, aimed at Paul Ryan and the rest of the Repubs. Real classy, Barry...........

Well, I got as far as Joan Walsh and stopped reading. If she's who you consider a deep thinker, it's no wonder you are so lost.

I noticed you don't hold Harry Reid responsible for his own obstructionism. I also notice you don't have a problem with the Dems' insistence on tax increases during a bad economy and their refusal to abandon them, instead using them as a divisive political wedge issue. You don't consider that a failure to compromise?
Partisan hypocrite much?
Progressives seem to be completely averse to facts and logic. Apparently, reality has a conservative bias.

Wow! Know what!? You've turned me. You're posts have convinced me that Republicans are the evil, corporate obstructionist, racist, war-mongers the left's analysis has always said they are. From now on, call me a Marxist! My subscriptions to 'Mother Jones' and 'The Nation' are already in the mail. Thanks, coin, you have been crucial to dragging me out of the light and into the truth, I'm now ready to embrace the policies and positions that have dragged lesser countries into misery and abject poverty. Hooray!! This time, we'll get it right.
