Schultz Says Racism Behind Republican Opposition To 'Occupy' Movement
Serious question: if he ever had it, has Ed Schultz totally lost it? There's lots to be said about the Occupy Wall Street movement. But of all the cockamamie comments, of all the nutty non sequiturs, surely Ed Schultz's takes the crazy cake.
On his MSNBC show tonight, Schultz claimed that what lies behind Republican criticism of Occupy is . . . racism. In a beyond-bizarre analogy, Schultz somehow said that there's "no difference" between GOP congressman Peter King's criticism of Occupy Wall Street and Trent Lott's 2002 birthday-party praise for Strom Thurmond. Video after the jump.
Watch Schultz's synapse-snapping, utterly incoherent attempt at analogy.
ED SCHULTZ: I am absolutely amazed that Peter King is getting a pass by the media for saying what he said on Friday on Laura Ingraham's radio show. Let's just get into this a little bit more. He says: "I remember what happened in the '60s when the left wing took to the streets and somehow the media glorified them and end up shaping policy. We can't allow that to happen." Well I'm old enough to remember the 60s as well, congressman. And those protests were about stopping the war in Vietnam that eventually took 56,000 American lives. That was a time period in this country when we were also fighting for civil rights. You know: so black folks could go fight, to go vote. I mean, is that what you're for?
So I ask Mr. King tonight: do you agree with Trent Lott, who said back on December 5th, 2002 that you know what? If we had voted for Strom Thurmond, we wouldn't have had all these other problems. I mean, those two comments, what Peter King said on Laura Ingraham's radio show and what Trent Lott said back in December of 2002: there's no difference! It's a mindset of the Republican party. If they don't hear what they want to hear they want everybody else to shut up. But it's also that dirty little secret of the Republican party: they've got a real issue with race.

Just like other astroturfed liberal lunatic fringe movements, they have absolutely message or purpose for people of color or minorities. They are just whining white-guilt college trust-fund brats and burnt-out hippies having a 4-decade acid flashback. Who in the hell could identify with that toilet-crust? UGH............

When are they going to rip this demented stooge off the stage? Leftists are getting more and more pissed off at his insanity, because he only (obviously) hurts their cause. But that's liberal programming for you: Do what you want and never back down, even after they close the lid and drop you six feet. Sheesh!

you fat a$$, it is not a racist "occupy" Why not try and figure out what the hel you are standing up for, before calling it racist. Conservatives don't want any involvment hanging around with mobs and sidewalks full of human filth who yell about, who knows what. The banks gave them loans for school and the schools and federal gov. are responsible for the rates they used for their wasted education.
"A real issue with race"
Submitted by wingnut55 on Tue, 10/11/2011 - 12:16am.
It seems to me that the party with a "real issue with race" is the Democrats. They are the ones who keep bringing up the color of people's skin. They are the ones who can't see past that fact. I don't see Republicans bringing up a person's race, it always seems to be people like you and the Democrat party.

Get used to this garbage from these political hacks masquerading as libtards with TV shows. This messaging is coming from the Obama campaign. And it's a beautiful sign of desperation.
On a different note: All these "Occupy Wall Street" folks look awfully familiar. Aren't these cats the same ones who protested the war, "illegal" wire tapping and water boarding for nearly eight years during the Bush administration? Funny how all those rallying cries have become so moot. I wouldn't be surprised if the DNC was sending out pizza's to them every night.

Quick, put out an APB for Sgt. Schultz's single-synapse brain cell.
It was last seen wandering on the Interstate, playing in traffic and heard to be mumbling something along the lines of its being starved and all alone in Ed's vacuous cranium, dying from the solitary confinement and from having to listen to Ed's voice just drone on and on and on...
Poor thing. We can empathize with its plight.
