Barnicle Blathers: 'What Percentage Of GOP Convention Delegates Are Total Nutcases?'

By Mark Finkelstein | August 22, 2011 | 08:25

A  A

Want incisive news analysis and perspicacious probing of the people and events of the day? Then Mike Barnicle is your man—not.

On today's Morning Joe, reacting to Jon Huntsman's criticism of Republicans who reputedly reject science, the former Boston Globe columnist inanely asked former RNC Chairman Michael Steele: "what percentage of Republican delegates who go to the convention do you figure are total nutcases?" Video after the jump.

Willie Geist, hosting in the absence of vacationing Joe and Mika, was apparently appalled: "what kind of question is that?" Steele could have gone on the attack, but chose to answer with equanimity that the percentage was the same as among DNC delegates.

Huntsman Should Have a Few and One Tenth of Ron Paul's Support

Submitted by Avitar on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 9:18am.

In all there should be about one nutcase for every twenty that attends the Democratic Convention. One in ten of those who support Ron Paul for legalizing drugs without understanding anything else he says. Those together with the Huntsman supporters should account for ninety-five percent of the Republican nutcases.

The very few delegates who are nutcases is alway masked by the media in attendance then most of the nutcases will be the Democrat media. My estimate is that for every lunatic fring econmics person who attends as a delegate there will be three complete nutcases covering the convention for the media.

I couldn't believe it. Oh, but I could. How surprising the others thought he was moronic for asking.

And that Huntsman clip: at least McCain pretended Conservatism to suit his needs. Huntsman is trolling for Democrat votes, and will be speaking at the Convention: the Democrat Convention. He is the slimiest slime in the race, a complete Obama tool. No wonder the MSM adores him.

Huntsman warned that his opponents' stances on the "extreme end" may make them "unelectable" in the general election.  -from the link

Oh, good grief!  Was there EVER a more "electable" (from the liberals' POV) candidate than John McCain?

As for our guy Barnicle, must I remind the Newsbusters crowd he a moron of the highest order. Got bounced from the Boston Globe for plagiarizing years ago. Why MSNBC decided to hire him is a mystery.

More Power To Huntsman a Real Pretender Democrat

Submitted by Avitar on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 8:58am.

McCain in 2008 swept up all of the Democrats who were crossing the lines to sabotage the Republican primaries. With Huntsman in the race the Democrats crossing the line will have a real member of the current Democrat administration to vote for. Their votes will split between him and the Rinos like Mitt Romney that Obama would like to see get it.

It is bad enough that we have candidates splitting the vote all of the way from the respectable libertarian Ron Paul to the nearly camouflaged Rick Santorum. It seems incredible that Newt Gingrich who saved the country for four years from the Clinton administration is weak in this year's field but that is how strong this year's field is.

Herman Cain would have been a pillar in 2008. This year he is one of five good choices.

Not surprisingly we never get

Submitted by TE on Mon, 08/22/2011 - 9:04am.

Not surprisingly we never get any polling from the Washington/New York/American press corps on the breakdown of delegates at the Democrat National Convention. For predictable reasons, the Washington/New York/American press corps never reveals the percentages of pagans, atheists, marxists, socialists, tree huggers, earth worshippers, flag burners, draft dodgers, feminists, race baiters, race hustlers, 9/11 Truthers, illegal alien lobbyists, NAMBLA enthusiasts and fundamentalist homosexualists among the democrat delegates.
