Andrea Mitchell: 'Everyone Is Feeling A Lack Of Hope'

By Mark Finkelstein | August 05, 2011 | 13:44

A  A

If Barack Obama has lost Andrea Mitchell, has he lost the MSM?

Surveying the economy on her MSNBC show his afternoon, Mitchell gloomily observed: "it just seems as though everyone is feeling a lack of hope."

The White House needn't fear too much.  Mitchell might have wandered somewhat off script. But Andrea has surely not abandoned the ranks of the Obama-loving media.  She fretted that because of Washington gridlock, the super committee might--horrors!--wind up cutting spending.

View video after the jump.

ANDREA MITCHELL: You can talk about pivoting to a jobs agenda. But what can we do if there is going to be such gridlock and if this new committee for instance that's going to be appointed is going to deadlock and then we'll have the triggers at the very worst time to be cutting deeply in both discretionary spending and defense spending.  So it just seems as though everyone is feeling a lack of hope.

Andrea might be right about the current hope shortage.  But in 2012 . . . change could be coming.

Actually, it started earlier

Submitted by killa37 on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 3:59pm.

Actually, it started earlier for me..............when the McCain Mutiny got seleceted by the MSM and the Dems..........although I got a little 'hope' when he picked Palin, who was the ONLY original person in the race.........but we saw where that went - between the MSM, the Dems, and the McCain people trying to keep her down.

It's really hard for me to use the word 'hope' anymore, because Barama has bastardized it to a point where it's just a joke, but our main 'hope' right now is that this sophmoric (but ultra-dangerous) petulant poser joins the ranks of the unemployed next year - although he won't have to worry to much about finding work or taking care of his own finances.............but 'our guys' keep making it easy for him to keep his status, which is even more mystifying!!!

I think our real 'hope' lies with the millions of 'real Americans'.............the ones that DC and the MSM seem to ignore, or degrade.

Where's the love, Mum?

Submitted by Ed Gregory on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 2:10pm.

As I recall, she's married to Alan Greenspan, no? And at the risk of being too general, wasn't he in charge of the Fed when things were going fairly well in this country -- at least better than they are now? One might think that she'd have more loyalty to his legacy and point out how things were better a few years ago than to continue servicing the current regime the way she does. Maybe that's her way of being "objective."

So this is how Andrea spends her time when she's not trying to ambush Palin at public events?

Having attacks of the obvoius?

Mitchell is Clinton's BFF in the MSM. That's why NBC pulled her off the coveted and prestigious WH correspondent job to cover the State Department, where she is granted exclusive interviews by her BFF.

She has always regretted that Obama snatched the Prize from Hillary's grasp.

Andrea do not lump me into your woes. i feel damn good because we are closer and closer to getting rid of the fraud in White House and with any luck a mass amount of liberals. with my calculations I will feel great in 2013 and you will be suicidal...fair trade I'd say.
