Donny Deutsch: Weiner Should Have Been 'Very Honest' And Said He Sent Pic To Wife
So now we know: Donny Deutsch would advise Dems caught in a sex scandal . . . to fabricate a false story.
On today's Morning Joe, ad man Deutsch stated that, when caught with his pants down, Anthony Weiner should have been "very honest" and claimed that he had sent the picture to his wife. And by "very honest," Deutsch of course means "very dishonest" since no one, starting with Weiner himself, suggests that the congressman meant to send the shot to his wife but that somehow it went out to a 21-year old college student in Seattle. DONNY DEUTSCH: My take is, look, here are the facts. Clearly it was sent out, he didn't do it. Clearly it's a picture of him or he immediately would have said "it's not me." I think his only solution at the time would have been to have been very honest: "it's me. I'm a human being. I'm married, it was sent to my wife and it's a personal matter and that's what people do." . . . Clearly that is him or he would have said that it's not. If he is sending a shot of himself in his underwear to his wife while he's travelling: "honey, I miss you," he's a human being: who cares? . . . So he wears underwear and he might have sent a picture to his wife in his underwear. He should have said it, and said "we have a great relationship in that way, let's move on."
Got that, future Dems caught in a pickle? Donny's advising you to try to fib your way out of it.
Note: theories of what really happened of course abound. One blogger suggests that the pic is indeed of Weiner, but that his account was in fact hacked, perhaps by a disgruntled staffer. I tend toward the Occam's Razor approach of the most obvious answer often being the right one: it came from his account, and he sent it.

I see a bright future at CNN for former Congressman Weiner. Special guest commentator and fill-in host on Client #9's woefully rated program. Such a move might bring in a few hundred more viewers and pump the ratings up fifteen or twenty percent.
As for Huma, the wronged wife, she'll be a perfect fit for the couch on the View. She can tell-all about comparison conversations between her and her current boss, Ms. Rodham Clinton. Certainly Huma has a long way to go in order to catch up to Hillary in terms of having a slippery spouse, but she has age and beauty on her side.

While I might tend to agree with you on how this happened, I cannot get past the coincidence of this.
As background, Weiner was ardently opposed to Obama for the Presidential nomination and equally for Hillary Clinton.
This happened about a week after Weiner came out against Obama's Middle East speech as it relates to Israel and the '67 borders and in front of cameras. Hacking into social media accounts or email accounts (see Gmail and China) is not unheard of and certainly with the resources Obama's people have it can be done.
I would guess that this is not the first time he did this which adds to the coincidence.
Obama's people have a history of dirty tricks and political assassinations.
Also this happened on the heels of the special election victory in upstate NY for Democrats.
So if Obama's people could create a situation that would force Weiner to resign they would be assured of a more loyal Democrat in a special election there.

Am I the only one who's skin crawls whenever I see or hear this guy? I can only imagine the photos Donnyboy has sent of himself (egomaniac) to unwilling women. The story here is the cover up. The danger of politicians placing themselves in a situation to be blackmailed. Also the young girls and women being victimized by these powerful men who can get away with whatever they want.
