Can we now effectively say that if something happens to Rush, liberal news pundits "are going to pay"? Or does dangerous language only come from the right?

So that's what is wrong with Mathews. And here we all thought it was just him pissing up his leg to get a tingle that caused it.

Matthews, like the typical liberal, can say the most hateful things and get away with them, while Rush gets vilified and smeared for things he didn't even say.

How any reasonable person can't see who the real villians are in this society is incomprehensible to me.

Well, well Tingles, are advocating violence against another human being?  Is it because NO ONE watches you and you are trying to drum up the ratings?  It would be sweet to see Fox buy NBC and give Chrissy the job of being Glen Beck errand boy.

The obvious observations about Matthews' penchant for violence aside, you'd think he could at least sound as though he knows what he's talking about.  A CO2 pellet?  What the heck is that, I wonder.  CO2 cartridges are used to power pellet guns.  Matthews is a dolt.

If a Republican had said that about a liberal in the news....  The shrieking would be heard by the dead.

However, this is not the case, and Mr. Matthews will be defended as a 'passionate' liberal and could not possibly want to inflict any harm on Rush.

This is the same group of people who show up at CEO's houses, bite fingers off, assault the elderly, and LIE CONSTANTLY.

Somehow they evade the culture of corruption label.  

Chris is a psychopath.  His remarks should land his carrier in the toilet, but they wont. 

If Rush is "looking more and more like 'Mr. Big'" - a villain of color - woudn't this mean Rush is becoming less and less of a "racist"?

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

Sounds like a violent threat upon a public figure to me.  Am I missing something?

Chris Matthews and his panel (Jonathan Martin and Anne Kornblut) just do not seem to get it that they were only HELPING Rush Limbaugh today by mentioning him and how powerful that he is!

Paul also wrote today that -- he said: "At this point, the guiding principle of one of our nation's two great political parties is spite, pure and simple. If Republicans think something might be good for the president, they're against it, whether or not it's good for America."

MARY MATALIN: Well, maybe Mr. Krugman, who is an otherwise really smart guy, was asleep for the last eight years, when -- when the Senate leaders -- I mean the Democratic leaders in both chambers called Bush everything from a liar to a loser, we're losing the war, on really big issues, making false claims.

But let me take my conservative hat off here and ask a strategic question, because I do think Paul is smart. And I do think my husband are -- is a smart strategist. I don't know why you would relentlessly and repeatedly employ a tactic that not only doesn't work; it works against you.

The liberals and the Democrats have been demonizing Rush Limbaugh for over two decades, and they have just made him stronger. And they have expanded his audience.

KRUGMAN: You know, let me -- let me weigh in, first of all just on the issue of Rush Limbaugh. You know, he actually is over the top, and in a way that no major figure on the left is, no one would with -- with that kind of influence, that kind of respectability. Mary was just giving him the respectability he has.

And, well, as for the strategy, who knows? But I would say that, to some extent, yes, people are flocking to listen to him, but they're also pulling the Republican Party further and further out of the mainstream of this country.

MATALIN: I love when Paul does this. It's great. I don't just respect Rush. I revere Rush.

And I will say again, every time he's attacked, it's not just made him bigger. It spawned a lot of Rush knockoffs, some of whom are out there. But, when you drive people to these -- to these shows, and they're hearing a lot of data, and it's data that makes sense, and it comports with their life, and it's not demonizing them, or calling them anti-American, or angry mobs, well, it -- it just expands the -- what this country is anyway.

It's a center-right country. The data supports this..."

Mary Matalin is right because in a year from now, nobody will remember anything that Chris Matthews and company are saying about Rush Limbaugh right now.  However IF Obama fails on the economy, on health care, on Afghanistan, or on any other big issue that comes up, then more people will know who Rush is, they will listen to him as the alternative to Obama, and Rush will be more powerful than ever if the Democrats get voted out!

I do not understand how Chris Matthews, Paul Krugman, and other "pundits" just like them cannot see such a simple point how that they are only HELPING Rush by what they are doing right now!

The only reason that Msdnc retains Fat Ed is so that Tingles will not be at the bottom of their anemic ratings.

Aside from the point that Chris Matthews knows nothing about "guns," aren't his comments classic "hate speech?"

Chris Mathews calls himself a 'journalist'? HA! He's a joke!

 His show is a take off of the old SNL "News Update" with Jane Curtain, Dennis Miller and Dan Aykroyd. Just like John Stewart's. Both call them selves 'journalists' but neither practice even rudimentary journalistic professionalism. 

 This comment only serves to illucidate the total lack of professionalism and an over abundance of immature irresponsibility. 

What Matthews has said is an incitement to violence. When done over the airwaves, it seems to me this constitutes a federal crime or at least breaks a FCC rule.
