We are "uncomfortable" with a President who suddenly changes the subject from health CARE reform to health INSURANCE reform and in the process demonizes an entire industry. Indeed, some suggest that changing the subject is admitting that the Administration is losing the debate.

We are "uncomfortable" with a President who makes false statements about medical service providers such as alleging pediatricians performing unnecessary tonsillectomies for the profit.

We are "uncomfortable" with a President who does not unequivocally state what his policies are? Is he for continuing private health care insurance or is he for a single-payer system? He is on record as saying both.

We are "uncomfortable" with a President who says he is for total transparency of his administration, but uses executive orders to create "czars" who not only have not been subject to Senate hearings like cabinet appointees, but who work without any Congressional oversight effectively rendering their activities secret.

I could go on, but I think Ms Tucker is capable of understanding my point. That is that we are not racist for wanting elected officials to live up to the sworn oath they take and to serve us and not their own personal agendas.

I think we are giving people like Tucker way too much credit when we call them "crazy" when they accuse us of racism or anything equally as vile. "Crazy" implies that they really believe these charges - even if mentally ill. I don't give them credit for being crazily sincere. I think they know very well that we or the town hall protesters aren't racists at all. They are just throwing the vilest charge they can think of in desperation of saving Obama's "Blue Shaft" program. No, these people are as dishonest as they come - and mean - and desperate.

That's right.  If Obama wants to turn the health care system into a government system, you are racist if you are against that.  (Or 65% likely a racist, or whatever she said.)

You can't be against what Obama wants, because whatever he wants is good for you.  Because, see, he's part black.  

If he decided, for instance, that everyone will empty their wallets to him (which is pretty much what he is deciding!), then that must be good, and you are likely racist if you oppose it.

In fact, he decided that every tenth person in the U.S. should be put to death, then that must be good, and you are likely racist if you oppose it.  If he decided that too many pets are bad and people can only own one cat or one dog (or one goldfish), you would be racist if you didn't get rid of your extras immediately.

In other words, there is no longer any such thing as self-interest.  It is all about Obama now, and if you are against what he wants to do, much less actually go out there and demonstrate your opposition - in town hall meetings, tea parties, or wherever - well, then, you are likely racist.

These people fail to realize that any racism people may have (and the country just got done demonstrating that it wanted a black president) is completely dwarfed by a person's own self-interest.  If there is a horrible plan at hand, people are going to be passionately against it, on its face.  Obama wants to take over health care (have you read that bill?), and I am totally against it.  Therefore I am racist.
